sometimes quite touristy and overcrowded but definitely worth a visit. charming little alleys are full of little gems:shops, bars and snack booths. great for a stroll during the day but also very nice for evening drinks. very easily accessible and most vendors speak English.

Very cute area with lots of small shops. We went a little to early (before 10AM) and not everything was open. I would recommend going later in the day.

Tianzifang is a hip and very artsy enclave of narrow alleys bursting with boutique shops, restaurants, and bars that are housed in traditional old Chinese buildings or converted factory spaces. It was fun strolling and picking up kitschy stuff from the many adorable boutique shops selling all kinds of specialty gifts and souvenir knick knacks. We sampled all kinds of tea, saw the cutest dog and finger painting work by an amazing artist.
