野枫印象Old Lyon is a place with rich history and culture in Lyon, France. With over a thousand years of history, this area is an excellent place to explore the history of France's third largest city. Old Lyon is particularly famous for its Renaissance architecture, and the architectural imprint of this period is particularly noticeable throughout the area. Old Lyon, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, not only showcases the style of the Renaissance but also bears witness to the economic prosperity of the period. This historic district is divided into three distinct areas: Saint-Jean, Saint-Georges, and Saint-Paul. Each neighborhood has its own unique character and history. The Saint-Jean neighborhood is the center of the old town, famous for its Gothic-style Saint-Jean Cathedral, as well as its many stone-paved alleys and Tuscan-style courtyards. The Saint-Georges neighborhood is the birthplace of the silk industry and has many famous alleys and hidden passages that were once widely used by merchants.

老二连To get to Annecy, you must first go to the old town. The Hugh River, which comes from the western mountains, flows through the entire old town and flows into Lake Annecy in front of the town hall. The main streets of the old town are on both sides of the Hugh River. Many buildings were built from the 12th to the 17th century and are well preserved. The ancient cobblestone roads still look like they did in the Middle Ages, and most of them have been opened up as pedestrian streets. The small streets along the river are full of open-air cafes, souvenir shops, hotels and restaurants, and the arcades of the buildings and the bridges across the river are full of flowers. The conical palace "Isle Palace" on the central island of the Hugh River and the Annecy Castle on the high slope at the end of the main street of the old town, Saint Clair Street, are both iconic ancient buildings in Annecy. They, together with the small streets, flowing water, flowers and tourists in the city, constitute a strong tourist landscape of the old town of Annecy.

suifeng2019We took the cable car up the mountain, and when we got off the cable car, we found ourselves standing in front of the church. After visiting the church, we found a place similar to a small garden, where we could have a cup of coffee while overlooking the city below the mountain.

老二连Due to strict environmental management measures implemented in the 1960s, Lake Annecy is known as the clearest lake in Europe. Lake Annecy has become a popular tourist destination for its famous water recreation activities. Lake Annecy was formed 18,000 years ago during the melting of the Alps glaciers. Many small rivers originating from the surrounding mountains flow into Lake Annecy for more than ten kilometers, providing sufficient water for Lake Annecy. Strolling and cycling along the shore of Lake Annecy, or swimming and boating in the lake, overlooking the rolling Alps in the distance, is undoubtedly a great pleasure in life. French Enlightenment thinker Rousseau once spent the "best 12 years" of his life in Annecy.

suifeng2019The main part of Place Bellecour is a large piece of red land. As the largest square in Europe, it looks a bit empty at first glance. There is no lawn or green tree. Only a statue of Louis XIV stands in a corner of the square.

ChenhutamuLyon's City Hall is right here on the Place des Terreaux. There aren't many tourists, but there are many locals. Lyon is also the food capital of France, and there are many food options near the square. It's also nice to have a meal nearby at noon.
