Pictures two to six all show different hairstyles or hat styles. It is speculated that there was something supporting on top of the flat head, but it has either been lost or carbonized over the years. For example, the carbonization of the wooden part of the gold staff, leaving only the gold staff or flat head. Like the hollow clenched fist of the priest, it is possible that the ivory inside has carbonized. Q2: Why are there so many damaged artifacts? The new museum is about five times the size of the original and displays many more artifacts. Seeing the bronze human figures was already impressive, but the bronze trees were even more so. I'm at a loss for words to describe it. A tip is not to crowd around the entrance to take photos of the bronze masks. Move quickly inside, where there are plenty of masks to see! Each one is unique. The further back you go in the museum, the more exquisite the collections become. The quality of the guides at the museum entrance varies, so choose wisely. The one we met today wasn't even as good as the free QR code information provided by the museum. The cultural relics restoration center also has some collections that should not be missed.

Chuanxi is back, let's talk about the big truths that aren't on the internet.. ||- 1-If you're planning to fly to Chengdu, I suggest choosing Shuangliu Airport if you have a choice, as Tianfu is really too far away, about 70km from the city center, and it's not very convenient whether you take a taxi or the subway - 2-A 3-in-1 hardshell jacket is almost enough for winter in Chuanxi, but I recommend a hardshell jacket + fleece/down. I also don't suggest bringing a long down coat, as it's inconvenient for using the restroom - 3-The attractions in Chengdu city are very concentrated, and you can do it yourself. If you want to go to museums, Du Fu Thatched Cottage, or Sanxingdui, you can also book tickets in advance and enter with your ID card, no need to join a tour group. - 4-The group meals with bus tours are mostly Sichuan cuisine, and the drivers will take kickbacks. I sincerely suggest that if you join a bus tour, consider whether you can cancel the group meal and bring some dry food to eat on the road. We joined a small group, so we didn't have this concern - 5-If you want to buy local specialties, you usually choose milk balls, milk sticks, beef jerky, etc. I suggest buying them in the area of Siguniang Mountain or Kangding, which might be more economical. Anyway, don't buy them inside the scenic areas - 6-There are many little sheep and yaks on the roadside for you to take pictures with, but they charge a fee. Riding a yak costs about 50, and you can bargain hard during the off-season - 7-Chuanxi is vast, and I still suggest joining a tour group if you are traveling alone. Experienced drivers can consider self-driving, but I really don't recommend it for beginners, as this is the plateau! High altitude sickness and difficult roads are no joke - 8-If you're afraid of altitude sickness, observe in the hotel on the first day, because there is an incubation period for altitude sickness. If it's severe, go to a clinic to get an IV and inhale some oxygen. The effect of medical oxygen is not comparable to handheld oxygen - 9-I don't recommend choosing tours below market price, as they are basically shopping tours.
