It is a treasure hall in the precincts of Hiramon Shrine in Ichinomiya, Satsuma Province, at the northern foot of Mt. Kaimon. There is a nationally designated important cultural property, Matsuume Kashi-e-Kashi, and although it is a makeup box for women, you can see what is commonly known as "Tamatebox" in the treasure hall. When it comes to Tamatebako, I imagined that box of Taro Urashima legend, but it is said that it was actually used by a noble woman in the Muromachi period. A treasure hall in the precincts of Hiramon Shrine. The admission fee is 100 yen, and I visited while receiving the red stamp. Here, a women's makeup box that is said to be from the Muromachi period is exhibited. Mirrors, combs, and small boxes remain in good condition. It is said that it was handed down as a tamate box, and it is a beautiful makeup box like a tamate box. It's very interesting how such beautiful items were transmitted to places like the westernmost and southernmost parts of Japan.
