Cathedral of the Orthodox Church of Harris in Shuzenji Onsen
Original Text
The cathedral of the Harris Orthodox Church on the edge of the hot spring town of Shuzenji Onsen. It features a green roof and a spire. It is a church with a long history because it was completed in 1897. I am surprised that missionary work was carried out in the Meiji period to a backdrop like Shuzenji Temple.
I stopped by on the way back from Shuzenji Onsen Town to Shuzenji Station. We were the only tourists, probably because it was a little far away and it was raining. I was standing quietly.
You can't enter it. It's a tour only for the exterior.

It is located on the outskirts of Shuzenji Temple. You can't see the inside, but you can see the grapes on the outer wall. Because the hotel is next door, it was built in a quiet atmosphere like the hotel attached.
It was right in front of the window of the inn where I stayed, so I could see it slowly. However, it doesn't feel special. I was interested in the reason why there is such an old church around Shuzenji (?). Is it usually used? It's right next to the inn Katsuragawa.

It is a little far from Shuzen Ji Temple.

I just saw the building from the outside, so I don't know the inside. The nearby cherry blossoms were beautiful. I think it's just about seeing it.
It's a cute church.
