Millennium Bridge

Compared to the huge, heavy stone cement or steel piers on other bridges on the Thames, this "silver belt" is supported by only a pair of "cockroach" shaped hollow metal piers not far from the banks, which are like a man welcoming tourists with open arms.

The pedestrian bridge on the Thames River built in the millennium was overcrowded when it was completed.
