It is an equestrian statue in the park in front of the Shimane Prefectural Office. I didn't know it because I was completely ignorant of history, but since I am the first feudal lord of the Matsue Domain in Izumo Province, I think he is familiar with the locals. It seems that he severely suppressed Christians, but it was a strong statue.
It was established in 2009 in front of the Shimane Prefectural Office on the south side of Matsue Castle. Naomasa Matsudaira was the first feudal lord of the Matsue Matsudaira family. Although naomasa did not build Matsue Jo castle, he was respected enough to build a bronze statue because he became a daimyo due to his activities in the Osaka Natsu no Jin (the summer siege of Osaka).
When I was at the prefectural office bus stop near the Shimane prefectural office, when I turned around, this equestrian statue stood. However, I wondered why I placed it in such a place at a halfway position in the square in front of the prefectural office.
It's a pretty cool statue. In contrast to the horses with the depressed horses, Naomasa looking up looks even more like 々. Is such a handsome man surprisingly rare in the statue of a warlord in the Sengoku period?
