About Mohe
From Harbin to Mohe, as soon as you leave the station, you can immediately feel the severe cold of Mohe. If your skin is exposed to the air, it will start to sting after a while. Eyelashes and hair are constantly jumping between freezing and melting every day, "How can my eyes melt" I think I actually felt it.
❄️ The luckiest thing in Mohe is probably that as soon as you leave the station, you meet a reliable driver. When my friend was making the travel plan, he found that the prices for chartered car tours found online were quite expensive, and with so many advertisements, it was hard to choose. So, we decided to just go with the flow and headed straight to Mohe. As we exited the Mohe train station, there were many drivers outside. One driver came up to ask us, and since we were two people, the driver found two more people and had us form a group on the spot, and so our Mohe journey began. The driver first took us to the Reindeer Park, where we clanged around in the hall getting equipped, making sure we were dressed to withstand the extreme cold of Mohe.
❄️ The first day's itinerary: Reindeer Park ➩ Birch Forest ➩ China's Northernmost Point ➩ Longjiang First Bay
The Reindeer Park, China's Northernmost Point, and Longjiang First Bay all require tickets to enter. The attractions are quite far apart from each other, and it gets dark early in Mohe, so we didn't linger long at each spot, just took some photos and left.
❄️ We returned to Beiji Village at the end of the day, and we all stayed in Beiji Village that night. There is also a fee to enter Beiji Village. The next day, the driver arranged for us to experience throwing water into ice, and then we played around in Beiji Village. There are two options for sightseeing: the first is to walk to each attraction on your own, and the second is to take a horse-drawn sled. The sled takes you to the attractions and waits nearby until you finish visiting, then pulls you to the next spot, covering a total distance of about 5 kilometers. Choose based on personal preference.
❄️ Then, the driver took us along the road to check in at the northernmost post office, Heilongjiang River, and the northernmost sentry post, and finally, we returned to the Mohe city area, ending our two-day group tour, only needing to pay the driver for the carpooling fee.
❄️ The two-day carpooling experience was excellent, with friendly and easy-going companions, and the driver, a local from Mohe, didn't try to sell us anything. Instead, he always chattered on, taking the trouble to explain things to us, and whenever he found a place he thought was worth checking in, he would stop the car and let us get out to take photos. The other two companions hadn't booked a hotel in the Mohe city area, and the driver was able to make a phone call based on their sightseeing needs and arrange accommodation for them close to the Mohe dance hall, which they said was clean and very cheap.
❄️ In the Mohe city area, we were free to explore, walking along the streets of Mohe, admiring the macaron-colored buildings, and going to the North Star Square to see the panoramic view of Mohe. In the evening, we went to the Mohe dance hall to dance with the uncles and aunties, and even boldly requested and sang songs. Each person can request one song for free every day.
Overall, Mohe feels like a lonely yet romantic city to me, and I think I will miss it a lot.
Tourists who want to find the north can come to this attraction. Even if they finally find the north, they must come to visit Mohe for tourism. You can see water and swim in the shallows. Generally speaking, it is quite good.
I came here to find the north, China's northernmost, the border, autumn, but it is quite cold, the scenery on the Mohe side is good, more natural and wild, people are more straightforward and enthusiastic, very like the place.
The most iconic place in the north of China, the scenery is pleasant, the air is fresh, the natural landscape is comfortable, the fun is strong, the price is super high, and finally found the north. The scenery of the north country is infinitely good and the scenery is panoramic.
The northernmost point of the Chinese map ~~~ is a worthwhile trip! ! !
It used to be just a boundary monument. Now it has also set up a box of large-scale stones with the northmost point sign. The opposite of Heilongjiang in front of you is Russia. When the ice age is over, you can even go to the river to see it. But there is no other way to come here except for chartered cars. It’s more troublesome to change the car inside at the entrance of the scenic spot, but it’s definitely worth the money.
This attraction is free, but on the way to this attraction, you have to pass a large scenic spot, it is charged, and you must take their shuttle bus.
2020.7.24 Find North, North, North, North! Come to Mohe, 123 degrees east longitude 15 minutes 30, 53 degrees north latitude 33 minutes 42, China's northernmost point. This is China, opposite Russia, Heilongjiang is the boundary river. In summer, both sides of the Straits are green, different from the imagination. Others said that the temperature here in winter is as low as minus 40 degrees, but this is not this experience. Ping often said that I can't find the north. This time, I can find it, haha!
