The Kumano-mode road starts from Kyoto by boat down the Yodo River and lands at Watanabe no Tsu (near the site of the Hachikenya dock). The first prince of Kujuku-oji, Prince Watanabe, prays for the safety of travel and goes south of Otsuji.
