The view from the lighthouse is good but walk up the hill past the aquarium for the best views. You won't be disappointed.

This year the beacon was opened after the capremont. It is located on Cape Takashima Misaki opposite the water park in Otaru. When the beacon is raised to the beacon, there is an ancient jinja-temple on the way, slightly higher on one level ...
Watch out for the crow attack.
It is a lighthouse on Cape Takashima, which is very close to Otaru Port. I got up early in the morning, so I took a detour and went to the cape. It wasn't popular yet, so I took a picture at the lighthouse, and when I walked toward the cape, crows gathered and it was noisy, and one of them hit me with my feet on my head. Apparently there was a nest nearby, and I decided that I couldn't move any further, so I swung the tripod and retreated while fighting the crow. About １０ minutes walk from the Otaru Aquarium (bus stop), climb a steep slope to reach Hiwayama Lighthouse. Since it is a lighthouse that shows an important route, ordinary people cannot enter the site from the viewpoint of security. However, please walk a little more without being disappointed. Go out to the viewpoint of a superb view. Below you can see the large sea, steep rock surface, and very beautiful scenery. It will be memorable.

It is a ten-minute walk down the slope from the parking lot of Otaru City Goten. There is a place with a good view along the way. There is a fence in the lighthouse and you cannot enter. A little disappointing.
