" Taiping Tianguo Zhongwangfu " is located at No. 204 Northeast Street, Suzhou, adjacent to the Humble Administrator's Garden. It is the Wangfu of Taiping Tianguo Zhongwang Li Xiucheng (1823 ~ 1864), the most complete building retained by Taiping Tianguo in that year. It is also the most complete peasant rebel palace in Chinese history. In the ten years of Qingxianfeng (1860), Zhongwang Li Xiucheng led the Taiping Army to conquer Suzhou, and converted the Humble Administrator's Garden and the surrounding area to the Zhongwang Mansion, forming a complex including the official office, the courtyard, and the garden pool. In the second year of Qing Tongzhi (1863), Suzhou lost its hold, Taiping Army withdrew from Suzhou, Li Hongzhang changed the Zhongwang Mansion to Jiangsu Procuratorial Bank, and in 1872, it was changed to the Eight Banners Fengzhi Assembly Hall. In 1960, it became the site of the Suzhou Museum. In 2006, Zhongwang Mansion became part of the new Suzhou Museum.
