Nvwa Town

Nuwa City is located in Sidugang Village, Niedui Town, 7.5 kilometers north of Xihua County, Henan Province. The city site is square, divided into inner and outer layers. The outer city wall is 4,000 meters long, and the inner city wall is 1,440 meters long. The outline of the moat is clear, the width of the base is 6 meters, and the width of the upper part is 15 meters. The city walls are mostly rammed in layers, each layer is 10 to 20 cm thick. The rammed socket is round, flat-bottomed, and 5 cm in diameter. There is a palace-style rammed earth platform in the city. An underground drainage pipe was unearthed under the northern city wall, with a residual length of 1 meter and a diameter of 29 cm. A large number of relics from the Spring and Autumn Period, such as kettles, pots, li, urns, and tiles, were unearthed in the city, which shows that the city was magnificent and the residents were prosperous at that time. According to research, the city is the site of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, and the ancient cultural sites of the Shang and Zhou Dynasties or even earlier are pressed under the city wall. In 1994, the construction of the new Nuwa City was started at the ancient mausoleum of Nuwa near the ruins of Nuwa City. Nuwa City has archaic buildings such as the Archway Gate, Nuwa Mausoleum, Butian Palace, Wa Palace, Fuxi Palace, Sanhuang Palace, Sanqing Palace and corridors on both sides. The halls and corridors enshrine statues of Nuwa and Fuxi, as well as sculptures and murals depicting Nuwa's achievements in creating man and mending the sky. In front of the ancient mausoleum of Nuwa, there is smoke and incense all year round. Now Nuwa City has become a large-scale Nuwa worship and sightseeing place with influence in the whole country.
