At the blue hour in Towada, I found what an ideal hotel should be like

As soon as we arrived at the beach, the fresh air rushed in, instantly invigorating us. My daughter, wearing adorable little rain boots, splashed and played in the shallow water like a happy little duck. Every time she found a small seashell, she would hold it high to show off to me, her smug little face making me chuckle. My wife took photos, trying to capture these precious moments, while I cleaned my daughter's spoils and put them in a bucket. We didn't exchange many words, but every glance we exchanged was filled with love. My father, though old, was still a master at digging for clams. As he dug, he told us stories of his childhood beachcombing. Those old tales became especially vivid in today's setting, and we listened with great interest, as if we could see the hardships and joys of that era through his descriptions. Time flew by amidst laughter and joy. When we finally decided to call it a day, looking at each other's disheveled yet incredibly happy appearance, we were filled with gratitude for this simple happiness. We realized that happiness can be so simple; as long as the family is together, even covered in mud, it's the most touching scene. #NewYearDestinations2026 #travel2026
