Want to eat like a local? Don't miss out on these top Ningdu dishes and foodie spots.

The newly opened [Xilin Villa] in Guanzhuang, I, an old villager from Jiangxi, have personally tried it. It's authentic enough! 🍗 Ningdu Three Cup Chicken Made with the ancient method of southern Guangdong, the chicken is tender and rich in sauce. It's not a problem to eat two bowls of rice 🫘Nan Fung Bean Bean Fragrance The bean bubbles are soft and flavourful, with the aroma of salty and fresh minced meat. You can't make that kind of deliciousness at home! 🌶️ Stir-fried meat with residual dried chili The chili crispy meat slices are charred and spicy, super addictive but not overpowering. It is definitely a rice-opening artifact 🥣Ruijin Beef Soup One portion for each person warms the stomach and relieves thirst, the ginger paste enhances the tenderness and slides down the stomach, the taste of hometown is not gone! The environment is elegant and the room is atmospheric, and you can even beat eggs inside. It's decent enough for family dinners and fellow villagers' banquets🏮 You won't be fooled when you open a new shop. It's cheap to eat nearby or come here on purpose👍

Who would have thought! Ganzhou, Jiangxi truly hides a living Song Dynasty museum. The saying "One Ganzhou city, half a Song Dynasty history" perfectly captures the millennium-old heritage of this small city. As a genuine Jiangnan Song City, it boasts the heroic spirit of Yugu Terrace described by Xin Qiji and the "unique beauty of this place" praised by Chairman Mao. It takes only 2 hours by high-speed train from Guangzhou, or about 4 hours by car. It’s perfect for a weekend or Spring Festival short trip, with a relaxed pace and vibrant local life, a perfect cure for urban fatigue. 🚄 Super convenient transportation: Take the high-speed train to Ganzhou Station or Ganzhou West Station, about 2 hours from Guangzhou; driving takes about 4 hours with smooth roads and no detours, making spontaneous travel easy. We’ve organized a 2-day essential route in Ganzhou without detours, follow it and you won’t go wrong: Day 1: Ancient Floating Bridge → Ancient City Wall → Bajingtai → Guijiaowei Park → Yugu Terrace → Song Tide Night City Day 2: Wei Family Courtyard → Fushougou Museum → Ganzhou Confucian Temple → Zao’er Alley → Return Each stop is filled with Song City charm: The Ancient Floating Bridge has withstood over 800 years of wind and rain, with more than a hundred wooden boats connected by cables floating on the river. Walking on it, the river breeze brushes your face, and a thousand years seem to stand still here; Zao’er Alley is a living fossil of Ganzhou Hakka ancient architecture and Song Dynasty street layout, with bluestone roads, horse-head walls, and old shops—every snapshot looks like a vintage masterpiece; at night, be sure to visit Song Tide Night City, where the fish lantern path glows with colorful lights, poetry lantern strings hang throughout the streets, pipa music flows from the pavilions, and the popular orange wall photo spot creates an immersive atmosphere. Bajingtai sits at the confluence of the two rivers in Zhanggong, offering a panoramic view of the ancient city and river, a landmark of Ganzhou; Yugu Terrace has stood for 1,200 years, the highest point in the city with lush trees and solitary pavilions, blending poetic imagery with natural scenery, a must-visit for culture lovers. Ganzhou’s cuisine is equally stunning: Ningdu meatballs are chewy and flavorful, vinegar fruit stir-fried large intestines are fresh and appetizing, Ruijin beef soup warms body and stomach, Anyuan three-fresh noodles are refreshing and grease-cutting, Xinfeng radish dumplings are soft and fragrant. From street snacks to specialty meals, you can taste all the flavors of southern Jiangxi in one stop, with great value for money. Ganzhou lacks the crowded noise of trendy cities, only the millennium-old Song charm and Hakka local life quietly flow. Within a 2-hour high-speed train circle, enjoy a slow two-day tour, see Song walls, walk ancient bridges, taste delicious food, and read poetry. Avoid the crowds during Spring Festival and come here for a timeless Song City rendezvous—healing and unforgettable.

A Food Lover’s Journey Through Jiangxi, China 🇨🇳🍜 — Bold Flavors, Local Secrets & Unforgettable Forget the usual tourist trail. In Jiangxi, every bowl of noodles, every sizzling plate, and every comforting clay-pot soup tells a story worth tasting. What if your next trip to China took you beyond famous landmarks and into a world of bold flavors, bustling food streets, and authentic local cuisine? Welcome to Jiangxi Province, a beautiful destination in southeastern China where mountains, rivers, lakes, and centuries of culinary traditions come together. Known for its distinctive Gan cuisine, Jiangxi offers a delicious combination of fresh ingredients, savory dishes, and a love for chili that makes every meal an adventure. 🌶️ For food lovers, this is a destination that deserves far more attention. 🍜 1. Nanchang Mixed Rice Noodles — The Breakfast You Can’t Miss Imagine starting your morning in Nanchang with a steaming bowl of smooth, chewy rice noodles tossed in savory sauce, fragrant chili oil, crunchy peanuts, and pickled vegetables. This local favorite, known as Nanchang Banfen (南昌拌粉), is simple but full of character. Every bite brings together contrasting textures and flavors, from the softness of the noodles to the tangy crunch of the toppings. Locals often pair their noodles with Waguan Tang (瓦罐汤), a traditional soup slowly simmered in earthenware pots. The comforting warmth of the soup balances the bold flavors of the noodles beautifully. Travel tip: Visit a neighborhood breakfast shop in the morning to experience how locals begin their day. If you enjoy discovering a city through its everyday food, this is the perfect place to start. 🌶️ 2. Yugan Chili Fried Pork — A Celebration of Bold Flavors If you love spicy food, Jiangxi will give your taste buds something to remember. Yugan chili fried pork (余干辣椒炒肉) combines tender slices of pork with fresh local chilies, creating a fragrant, savory dish that pairs perfectly with a bowl of steamed rice. The magic lies in its simplicity. The ingredients are cooked together over high heat, allowing the aroma of the chilies to mingle with the rich flavor of the meat. It is the kind of home-style dish that makes you reach for another spoonful of rice before you even realize it. One important note: Jiangxi cuisine can be seriously spicy, so don’t hesitate to ask for a milder version if you prefer gentler flavors! 🥓 3. Artemisia with Cured Pork — A Taste of Poyang Lake Some of the most memorable dishes are made with ingredients that tell the story of a place. Lihao Chao Larou (藜蒿炒腊肉) is a classic Jiangxi specialty featuring aromatic, crisp artemisia stems stir-fried with savory cured pork. The fresh, slightly herbal taste of the greens contrasts beautifully with the smoky, salty pork. It is a wonderful example of how Jiangxi cooks transform local ingredients into dishes full of personality. Associated with the Poyang Lake region, this specialty offers a delicious connection to the province’s lakeside landscape and food culture. For travelers who want to taste something beyond the usual Chinese restaurant menu, this is a dish worth seeking out. 🍗 4. Ningdu Three-Cup Chicken — Rich, Fragrant, and Comforting A trip through Jiangxi would not be complete without trying Ningdu Three-Cup Chicken (宁都三杯鸡). Traditionally associated with southern Jiangxi and Hakka culinary heritage, this dish is known for its rich aroma and deeply savory sauce. Chicken is cooked with rice wine, soy sauce, and sesame oil, allowing the flavors to blend into a glossy, fragrant coating. The result is tender meat with a wonderful balance of savory richness and aromatic depth. Served with steamed rice, it makes a satisfying meal and a great introduction to Jiangxi’s traditional cooking. 🦆 5. Lianhua Blood Duck — For the Adventurous Foodie Looking for something truly distinctive? Lianhua Blood Duck (莲花血鸭), a specialty from western Jiangxi, is famous for its bold seasoning, rich color, and intense flavor. Duck is cooked with chilies and other seasonings, with duck blood traditionally incorporated into the dish to create its characteristic texture and appearance. It may sound unusual to first-time visitors, but regional dishes like this are part of what makes traveling for food so exciting. If you enjoy exploring authentic local cuisine and trying dishes with a strong regional identity, put this one on your culinary bucket list. 🐟 6. Poyang Lake Fish — Fresh Flavors from the Water Beyond its spicy specialties, Jiangxi also offers wonderful freshwater fish dishes. The Poyang Lake region is closely associated with freshwater fish, which may be steamed, braised, or prepared with aromatic seasonings depending on the restaurant and the catch. Compared with some of Jiangxi’s heavier, chili-forward dishes, simply prepared fish can offer a gentler taste of the region. Enjoying a local fish dish is also a wonderful way to appreciate the connection between Jiangxi’s natural environment and its culinary traditions. 🍡 7. Discover the Little Snacks That Make Every Journey Better Sometimes, the best travel memories come from the smallest bites. As you explore Jiangxi’s local markets and food streets, look out for traditional rice cakes, sweet rice-based treats, and other regional snacks. In Jingdezhen, try Jianshui Ba (碱水粑), a chewy rice cake that is often sliced and stir-fried with eggs, vegetables, or meat. Its satisfying texture makes it a comforting local staple. These everyday foods offer another side of Jiangxi cuisine: humble, creative, and closely connected to local life. 📍 Where Should Your Jiangxi Food Journey Begin? Nanchang: Start with mixed rice noodles, clay-pot soup, and chili-rich home-style dishes. Explore local eateries to discover the everyday flavors loved by residents. Jingdezhen: Combine a visit to China’s celebrated porcelain city with local rice cakes and regional specialties. It is an ideal destination for travelers who love both culture and food. Wuyuan: Explore traditional villages, beautiful countryside, and local dishes such as steamed fish, rice-flour steamed pork, and the area’s distinctive red carp. Southern Jiangxi: Discover Hakka-influenced food traditions, including rich chicken dishes and regional specialties that reflect the area’s cultural heritage. Each destination brings a different flavor to the table, making Jiangxi an excellent choice for a multi-stop culinary adventure. ❤️ Why Jiangxi Deserves a Place on Your Food Travel Bucket List For me, the beauty of traveling through food lies in discovering the character of a place through its everyday meals. In Jiangxi, a humble bowl of rice noodles can introduce you to local breakfast culture. A plate of chili fried pork reveals the province’s love for bold flavors. A traditional chicken dish connects you with generations of cooking heritage, while freshwater fish reflects the importance of its lakes and rivers. Jiangxi may not always be the first province international travelers think of when planning a food trip to China, but that is exactly what makes it exciting. Come for the flavors, stay for the culture, and leave with memories that linger long after the last bite. 🥢✨ If you are planning your next trip to China, let Jiangxi surprise you — one delicious dish at a time. Would you dare to try Jiangxi’s famous spicy cuisine, or would you start with a comforting bowl of rice noodles and clay-pot soup? Tell me in the comments! ❤️ #Jiangxi #JiangxiCuisine #GanCuisine #ChinaFood #FoodTravel #ChineseFood #Nanchang #Jingdezhen #Wuyuan #FoodieTravel #HiddenGemsChina #TravelChina

While others crowd into popular tourist attractions, we're heading in the opposite direction to smaller cities. We've curated four tested cities: Qingzhou, Songyang, Ganzhou, and Zhangye. Experience culture, pastoral landscapes, Song Dynasty history, and the northwestern desert all in one go. No need for intense, fast-paced travel, no fighting for photo spots, and lower accommodation markups. Perfect for those looking for a relaxing vacation. 📍Shandong · Qingzhou | A living ancient city in the north🏮 ✅Target audience: Those who prefer ancient city culture, enjoy strolling through old streets, and don't want to be bothered by over-commercialization 🗓Recommended duration: 2 days ✨Must-visit ▪Qingzhou Ancient City (free): Don't just stick to the main street. Explore Zhaode Ancient Street, where locals still live and authentic halal snack shops are bustling. In the evening, climb the Fucai Gate tower for a bird's-eye view of the old city rooftops; the night view is incredibly atmospheric. ▪Ouyuan Garden: A niche garden in the bustling city. See the Taihu stones from the Ming Dynasty. It's quiet and uncrowded. ▪Qingzhou Museum: Be sure to book in advance. The Buddhist statues from Longxing Temple are worth a close look. ▪Jingtang Ancient Village: An original stone village. Avoid the National Day crowds. 🍜Must-eat: Laohuaishu pan-fried buns, Longsheng pastry "Mishandao," and Guobing (pot cake). 💡Tips to avoid pitfalls: The main street of the ancient city is crowded during National Day, so explore the side alleys instead. Yunmen Mountain is crowded on holidays, so prioritize Tuoshan Grottoes. 📍Zhejiang · Songyang | The last secret realm of Jiangnan🌾 ✅Target audience: Those who love mountain villages, pastoral healing, and want to just lie back and relax 🗓Recommended duration: 2–3 days ✨Must-visit ▪Yangjiatang Village: The yellow rammed-earth walls are gilded by the sunset, earning it the name "Golden Potala Palace." Try to visit in the evening. ▪Chenjiapu Village: A cliffside ancient village with a Librairie Avant-Garde bookstore hidden in the mountain hollow. Try to arrive early to avoid peak tour group times. ▪Songyang Old Town: Stroll through the old streets, visit blacksmith shops and herbal medicine shops, and experience authentic local life. Don't just stick to the popular "internet-famous" villages. ▪Damushan Tea Plantation: Rent a bike for a ride. The autumn light and shadows are very pleasant. 🍜Must-eat: Songyang thin pancakes, Huizhi cake, and braised pork with dried bamboo shoots. 💡Tips to avoid pitfalls: Some mountain roads have traffic controls during National Day, and popular ancient villages are prone to crowd limits. Prioritize staying in Songyang County, which offers much better value than mountain-top homestays. The mountain roads have many curves, so be cautious when driving at night. 📍Jiangxi · Ganzhou | A living Song Dynasty city in Jiangnan📜 ✅Target audience: History buffs, those who love the atmosphere of old cities, and want to see Song Dynasty relics 🗓Recommended duration: 2–3 days ✨Must-visit ▪Song Dynasty Ancient City Wall: One of the best-preserved Song Dynasty city walls in the country, with ancient inscriptions still visible on the bricks. A walk along the Gan River is very pleasant. ▪Jianchun Gate Ancient Pontoon Bridge: Made of hundreds of wooden boats connected together. Go in the early morning! Avoid the evening crowds; the morning mist over the river is incredibly atmospheric. ▪Yugu Terrace: Watch the sunset in the evening and experience the poetic mood of Xin Qiji's verses. The street lights at night are beautiful. ▪Zao'er Lane: Stroll and eat in the old alleys, and experience the local life of the old Hakka city. 🍜Must-eat: Gannan stir-fried fish, Ningdu three-cup chicken, Ningdu meatballs, and Tangpi (rice noodles). 💡Tips to avoid pitfalls: The gaps between the pontoon bridge planks are large, so wear flat shoes. Parking in the old town is tight, so prioritize riding shared e-bikes. Don't blindly travel far to see Hakka walled villages; a deep exploration of the city center is comfortable enough. 📍Gansu · Zhangye | Earth's palette · Northwestern wilderness🏜️ ✅Target audience: Those who love vast natural scenery, enjoy watching cinematic sunsets, and yearn for the Hexi Corridor 🗓Recommended duration: 2–3 days ✨Must-visit ▪Colorful Danxia: Enter the park after 4:00 PM. The sunset light and shadows are legendary. Avoid the midday tour group crowds. Do not step on the rock layers; protect the landscape. ▪Pingshanhu Grand Canyon: A Gobi canyon with a great hiking experience. Fewer people than at Danxia. ▪Giant Buddha Temple: See the largest indoor reclining Buddha in Asia. A Western Xia ancient temple and a great place for culture in the city. 🍜Must-eat: Beef "small rice" (noodle soup), stir-fried Paozhang (noodle dish), and apricot skin tea to cut the grease. 💡Tips to avoid pitfalls: The temperature difference between day and night in the Northwest is huge. During National Day, wear short sleeves during the day but prepare a thick jacket for morning and evening. Attractions are scattered, so chartering a car or carpooling is recommended; public transport is not advised. Prices inside the Danxia scenic area are high, so bring your own drinking water and snacks. ✨National Day reverse travel | Tested summary and experience 🔹Travel timing ▪Try to avoid the peak outbound travel period of Oct 1–Oct 2. Prioritize departing after Oct 3, when crowds will decrease significantly. For the return trip, avoid the afternoon of the 7th; choose the morning of the 7th or leave on the 6th to avoid traffic jams. ▪Tips for avoiding crowds at attractions: Either arrive right when they open or enter later in the afternoon. Leave the midday period to tour groups. 🔹Accommodation tips ▪"Reverse travel" cities aren't completely immune to price hikes, so it's still recommended to book 7–15 days in advance. Don't insist on staying right at the entrance of scenic spots; stay in residential areas or the county seat for much better value. ▪In Songyang, try to avoid overpriced mountain-top homestays. In Zhangye, staying in the city center makes it easier to reach various attractions. In Ganzhou, stay in the Zhanggong old town area. In Qingzhou, stay in residential areas outside the ancient city. 🔹Saving money on food ▪Avoid "internet-famous" shops at the entrance of scenic spots. Dive into old streets in local residential areas where locals gather; the food is authentic and the prices are reasonable. Buy local specialties at local supermarkets or farmers' markets, and avoid overpriced shops in scenic areas. 🔹How to choose a destination (quick guide) ▪Prefer ancient city culture 👉 Qingzhou ▪Mountain and pastoral relaxation 👉 Songyang ▪Song Dynasty old city and Hakka atmosphere 👉 Ganzhou ▪Northwestern wilderness and cinematic sunsets 👉 Zhangye 🔹Mindset reminder "Reverse travel" doesn't mean there will be absolutely no people, just that the crowds are significantly reduced compared to popular cities. Don't try to check off every single spot; pick 2–3 places you like and explore them in depth. Relaxation is the core of reverse travel.

As a Jiangxi native, I've heard the name Cuiweifeng for many years, but never had the chance to visit. This time, I finally made time to come and see this Danxia mountain in southern Jiangxi for myself. Cuiweifeng feels very down-to-earth to me. It's not over-packaged; it's just a genuine Danxia rock mountain, and the massive rock walls are visually striking. It's not completely uncommercialized; there are some small stalls at the entrance where you can buy water and snacks. The further you go up the mountain, the quieter it gets, and there's almost nowhere to restock. You really don't need to force yourself to see everything. There are many mountain paths and forks, and plenty of stairs. If you have average fitness, there's no need to push yourself to walk every single trail. Just set your own pace, and if you see beautiful scenery, stop and take some photos. Along the way, you'll pass lakes, stretches of forest, and the very interesting Thread of Sky, where the rock walls on both sides are so narrow that you have to turn sideways to get through in some places. When you climb to the top, you can look out over the villages and fields below, and the view suddenly opens up. There are also old pavilions in the mountains where you can sit, catch a breeze, and rest if you get tired. 💬 A few quick tips · Admission is free, so just head right in. I recommend bringing plenty of water and snacks, as there are almost no places to buy supplies on the mountain, and it's hard to find anything if you get thirsty. · There are no restaurants on the mountain, so you'll need to go down to eat. When you come to Ningdu, remember to try the Ningdu meatballs. They are bouncy, savory, and delicious—having a bowl after hiking is incredibly satisfying. · There are many stairs, and some sections are steep and slippery. Be sure to wear comfortable, non-slip shoes. Don't wear sandals, or you'll have a miserable time walking. · The scenic area is still undergoing renovations, so you might occasionally run into barriers while walking. If you see a barrier, don't try to push through; just go around it. · Don't arrive too late. They stop letting people in after 4:30 PM, so it would be a shame to make the trip for nothing. · There are many exposed areas on the mountain, so be sure to take sun protection measures if you come on a sunny day. There are also quite a few mosquitoes in the forest. · Going down the mountain is harder on your knees, so take it slow and don't rush down. Don't come here expecting stunning photo ops everywhere. Just come with the mindset of escaping to the mountains for the weekend to get some fresh air, look at the rocks and lakes, and simply relax. You'll have a much better time that way.

Day 3: Visit the local old market, stock up on pastries and snacks, and enjoy some local specialties before heading home. 🍜 Must-try food: Chaotianguo (soup/stew), Qingzhou suguo (braised vegetables), Longsheng pastries 💰 3-day, 2-night budget per person: 700–900 RMB 💡 Tips: No need to rush—sleeping in and starting your day whenever you wake up is the best way to experience this small city. 💛 Final thoughts: You don't have to hit a bunch of tourist spots during your National Day trip. Finding a small city you like, staying for a few days, eating local food, and experiencing the daily life is the best kind of vacation.

During my visit to Ningdu County, Jiangxi Province, I had the pleasure of exploring the famous Danxia mountain and cultural landmark, Cuiwei Peak Scenic Area. This is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a provincial-level scenic spot. Known for its perilous peaks, strange rocks, secluded valleys, and beautiful springs, it is a famous mountain that integrates Taoist, Confucian, hermit, and revolutionary history. The highest peak in the scenic area, Cuiwei Peak, stands at an elevation of over 468 meters. Climbing to the top offers a panoramic view of Ningdu County and the famous Twelve Peaks of Jinjing. The peaks are steep and rugged, with endless imagery—some resemble fierce and majestic lions, others look like galloping horses with manes flying, and some appear as ships riding the wind and waves. Jinjing Cave, nestled between two mountains, is also known as a "grotto heaven" because it is said that Zhang Liying, a woman from the Western Han Dynasty, practiced Taoism and attained immortality there. Notably, the Battle of Cuiwei Peak, which took place here from August to September 1949, was the largest mountain siege battle south of the Yangtze River during the War of Liberation. The mountain retains numerous battle sites, including bunkers, fortress walls, and trenches, which serve as constant reminders not to forget the heroes who performed meritorious service for the people, and especially not to forget the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the liberation of New China. Take a walk through Cuiwei Peak, and you will surely be impressed by this Danxia mountain, with its breathtaking natural scenery and profound cultural heritage.

Weekend itineraries for a fun National Day getaway without taking leave 01 Hohhot | Inner Mongolia Leave Friday after work, return Sunday night—the timing is perfect. The Laoniuwan Yellow River Grand Canyon Tourist Area is best visited early Saturday morning; it's about a 2-hour drive from the city center. ⏰ Arrive before 10:00 AM for the best light on the water. It's windy by the canyon, so don't skip the jacket. The Chilechuan Grassland Cultural Tourism Area is close to the city, perfect for Sunday afternoon. 📍 The area around Huheta East Street has wide-open grasslands; rent a bike and cruise around. 🍜 Back in the city, have some shaomai with brick tea—one liang is enough to fill you up. ⚠️ Some observation decks at Laoniuwan have steep steps, so wear non-slip shoes. Prices at horse ranches on the grassland vary wildly; ask about the duration before paying. 02 Nanjing | Jiangsu Nanjing is a top choice for a quick weekend trip, but don't overdo it. Visit the Presidential Palace and Xuanwu Lake on the same day; they're connected by Metro Line 2. ⏰ Get to the Presidential Palace right when it opens at 8:30 AM; it gets crowded with tour groups after 10:00 AM. ⚠️ It's closed on Mondays, so don't waste a trip. Save the Confucius Temple-Qinhuai Scenic Area for the evening. 📍 Walk from Pingjiangfu Road to Dongguantou—the moment the lights come on is worth the wait. 🍜 Look for small shops in the alleys for duck blood vermicelli soup; the ones on the main tourist street are expensive and mediocre. Dedicate half a day to the Niushoushan Cultural Tourism Area; the underground palace of the Usnisa Pagoda is stunning. If it's your first time, follow the "West Gate entrance—Underground Palace—Usnisa Pagoda" route; don't do it in reverse. Stay in the Xinjiekou or Confucius Temple area for easy night tours and transfers. 03 Baoji | Shaanxi This Baoji route is perfect for those who want to hike or just relax. Choose between Taibai Mountain and Guanshan Grassland, depending on your energy levels. ⏰ Enter Taibai Mountain at 7:00 AM and head back down before 3:00 PM—don't linger. Half a day is enough for the Famen Temple Cultural Scenic Area; the Namaste Dagoba is the highlight. 📍 Located in Famen Town, Fufeng County; it's actually closer from Xi'an than from downtown Baoji. 🍜 Back in the city, have some ganmianpi (dried noodle skin)—it's sour and spicy—with a meat burger (roujiamo). Guanshan Grassland is great for seniors and kids; the meadows are gentle. Negotiating horse riding down to about 80 yuan is reasonable. "Frozen Mountain Wind" (Dongshanfeng) sounds cold, but it's actually a great spot for sunset. ⚠️ It cools down quickly in the evening, so bring a fleece jacket. 04 Ganzhou | Jiangxi Shicheng and Sanbai Mountain—one for the villages, one for the water. Shicheng is great for Saturday; the Danxia landforms of Tongtianzhai paired with the morning mist are beautiful. ⏰ Arrive at the observation deck by 6:30 AM, or the mist will clear. 📍 The villages around Qinjiang Town, Shicheng County, have the most vibrant "autumn drying" (shaqiu) scenes in October. Visit Sanbai Mountain on Sunday; the water at the source of the Dongjiang River is incredibly clear. ⚠️ The shuttle bus inside the scenic area costs extra; buy a joint ticket in advance to save time. 🍜 Ganzhou stir-fried fish and Ningdu three-cup chicken are well-made in city restaurants. Stay in Zhanggong District to explore Zao'er Lane and the Ancient Floating Bridge at night. For your first visit, follow the "Shicheng—Stay in Ganzhou—Sanbai Mountain" route to avoid backtracking. 05 Anshun | Guizhou The Huangguoshu Waterfall and Dragon Palace are the twin highlights of Anshun. ⏰ Enter the Huangguoshu scenic area at 7:00 AM, head straight for the Great Waterfall, and visit Doupotang before noon. ⚠️ You'll get wet in the Water Curtain Cave; buy a raincoat on-site for 5 yuan—don't bring an umbrella. Take a boat into the cave at Dragon Palace; the reflections of the stalactites look like a fake photo. 📍 Located in Longgong Town, Xixiu District; it's about a 40-minute taxi ride from the city. 🍜 Anshun wrapped rolls (guojuan) and crispy buns (posubao) are concentrated around Gufu Street. Staying in downtown Anshun is more cost-effective than staying at the scenic area entrance, and you can have hot pot (laoguo) at night. If traveling with seniors, skip the second half of Tianxingqiao—there are too many steps. Check official announcements for ticket prices and opening hours on the day of your visit. 06 Enshi | Hubei The Enshi Grand Canyon and Shennongxi Stream Tracker Cultural Tourism Area—one is tough on the legs, the other is a feast for the eyes. ⏰ Enter the Grand Canyon at 7:30 AM; walk the Yunlong Ground Fissure first, then head up to Qixingzhai. ⚠️ There are steps throughout the entire route; think twice if you have bad knees. At Shennongxi, you can take a boat to see the trackers; it's mostly a performance now, so don't set your expectations too high. 📍 Located in Yanduhe Town, Badong County; it's a long drive from Enshi, so set aside a full day. Visit the Enshi Tusi City and the Enshi Qingjiang River on the same day; Tusi City takes two hours, and you can take a boat on the Qingjiang River to see the scenery on both banks. 🍜 Look for Zhangguan Hezha and Tujia oil tea soup around Hangkong Road in the city. Stay in the Wuyangba area for convenient dining and transfers. 07 Shuozhou | Shanxi Shahu Pass is the most worthwhile trip in Shuozhou. ⏰ Arrive after 4:00 PM; the sunset hitting the rammed-earth city walls creates the richest colors. 📍 Shahu Pass Village, Youyu County; driving yourself is the most convenient way, as public transport is a hassle. It's so windy here it can blow your hat off, so ⚠️ bring a windbreaker in spring and autumn. Tickets aren't expensive, but there are few dining options nearby, so bring your own water and snacks. Suitable for those who like a desolate vibe; not really suitable for children. Back in downtown Shuozhou, have a bowl of sheep offal soup (yangzaguo) to warm your stomach. For your first visit, navigate to "Shahu Pass Scenic Area" to avoid ending up at the old village. 08 Shizuishan | Ningxia Shahu is the star attraction of Shizuishan, where the desert and water meet for a striking contrast. ⏰ Enter the park before 9:00 AM; take a boat to Bird Island first, then explore the desert area. 📍 Shahu Tourist Area, Pingluo County; it's about an hour from Yinchuan. 🍜 Food inside the scenic area is expensive and mediocre; we recommend heading back to Dawukou District for cold noodles (liangpi) and hand-grabbed mutton. ⚠️ The UV rays in the desert area are strong, so don't be lazy with sunscreen. If traveling with kids, try sand sliding and camel riding; couples should take a boat ride at sunset to see the reeds. It's crowded during the National Day holiday, so buy boat tickets online in advance. Stay in Dawukou District for an easy return trip the next day. These eight routes are perfect for a weekend. Pick one close to you and head out after work on Friday.
A weekend hike with your best friend or a few other friends is definitely worthwhile, especially after a long week of work when you feel exhausted or stressed. A hike can help you relax, de-stress, breathe in some fresh air, and have a good chat with your closest friends.
吉祥三宝,健康快乐的生活The performance was impressive, but I didn't understand it. It was outdoors, and even though I bought a VIP ticket and sat in the front row, the performance area was quite far and high up; the view wasn't as clear as from a regular ticket. It got a bit chilly at night. The Tengwang Pavilion is very large, and the night view is beautiful. You should allow plenty of time to explore; it's a great place for taking photos.
Anonymous userExcellent value for money! Only have to pay for the buses and bamboo raft. We spent 2 days and covered most the park. Lovely!

我幸福f g sTeacher Xiaoyu's explanation was excellent. She really wanted to tell us about the treasures of the Jiangxi Provincial Museum in a short time. You could feel her passion for her work. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to hear her explanation.
Anonymous userThe experience of visiting Wugong Mountain was quite good. The hiking route was of moderate difficulty and not strenuous. The view from the summit was expansive, overlooking vast meadows. The breeze was pleasant and refreshing. There were also ample supply points along the way, so I didn't need to bring too much with me. It was a very relaxing trip.
夜空星城Wugong Mountain truly lives up to its reputation and is definitely worth a visit. I followed the tourist route, not pushing myself too hard; the food and accommodation weren't luxurious, but there weren't any major problems either. The staff at every scenic area were very dedicated.
