Looking for a quiet place away from the crowds and noise while in Manila? Look no further. This place is just 2 hrs from Manila and it offers the best views and experiences at very affordable prices. This paradise is none other than Tanay Highlands in Rizal province. I took in the beautiful landscape filled with lush greenery all while experiencing a kawa bath or having lunch at a cozy restaurant in the highlands. There are less people there even during peak tourist seasons. It's truly one of those places you shouldn't miss while in Manila 😍

Dreaming of an epic unplugged adventure? 🌙 Tanay’s TO THE MOON CAMPSITE is where it’s at! Escape city stress and wake up to wild beauty, sunrise seas of clouds, and endless forest vibes 🌲✨ The coolest highlight: seeing mountains flush with low-hanging clouds at dawn—a must for nature-obsessed souls. Must-See Spot: TO THE MOON CAMPSITE Address: Barangay Sittio Ibucao, Tanay, Rizal, Philippines This place is pure rustic—think rope net fences, wooden cabins, and no tech distractions. Early birds, bring your camera for jaw-dropping sunrise shots: clouds cover the peaks, with surreal forests and mist all around. Expect to totally reset your brain and feel that deep calm only nature gives. Pro Tips: Don’t expect luxury—pack your own food, extra drinking water, and maybe a portable charger since power is limited. 🍃 Forget WiFi, but bring a jacket (temps drop before dawn) and hiking shoes for exploring. It’s best for groups loving simple campfire dinners and quiet under the stars. Getting here is an adventure: take a private car or motorbike for max flexibility, as public transport is rare and cell service can be spotty. How To Get Around: Private rides rule here, but try to team up and carpool to save on gas and help the planet. No need for cash except small local stores, so stash pesos for basics. Food Tip: Cook your own: classic grilled meats or veggie skewers are perfect for campsite meals. There’s usually fresh produce at roadside stalls on the way. Key Destination Tips: Check the weather before you go—rain makes roads tricky! Book ahead with trip.com to secure a slot, since walk-ins might not be accepted. Visa not needed for most tourists. #TanayAdventure #NatureVision #PhilippinesCamping #ToTheMoonCampsite #OutdoorLife

Manila is straight-up buzzing — this city never sleeps! It’s where old-school charm meets that ultra-modern vibe, and honestly, it’s got 💯 energy. Start your adventure in Intramuros (Address: General Luna St, Manila, Metro Manila, Philippines), the walled city where Spanish colonial feels are still alive. Trust me, getting lost here is half the fun! Hop on a wild, rainbow jeepney — Manila’s iconic ride — and zip through neighborhoods packed with life. When sunset hits, make your way to Manila Bay (Location: Roxas Boulevard, Manila). The golden hour views are straight-up legendary 🌅. Snack on street eats like isaw or balut from vendors around the bayfront — so tasty, soooo local! (Vegan restaurants available too) Now, if you’re itching for chill vibes, hit pause on the city and escape to Treasure Mountain (Address: Sitio Maysawa, Barangay Cuyambay, Tanay, Rizal; Open daily 6am–5pm). It’s a quick 2-hour trip from Manila, either by van or bus (routes via Antipolo or Cogeo). Last bit’s pretty steep, so pack light and lace up those comfiest kicks! Out here, you’ll camp out, breathe that cool, clean air, and wake up to major cloud goals — the “sea of clouds” view is seriously next-level and totally Insta-worthy 🌄. Pro tips: Bring a jacket for misty mornings, set that alarm EARLY to snag the sunrise, and don’t sleep on booking Treasure Mountain via trip.com to lock in your spot with zero hassle! Tanay Highlands is more than a restaurant—it’s a front-row seat to the Sierra Madre’s sweeping mountain scenery. Perched high above the rolling hills, the deck opens to a breathtaking panorama where clouds drift below you and the horizon stretches endlessly. I stopped by for an early brunch and was greeted by cool mountain air and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee. Their café is cozy and modern, with big windows so you never lose sight of the view. I tried their signature barako latte alongside a plate of crispy tapa and garlic rice—rich flavors that paired perfectly with the crisp breeze. What makes this spot memorable isn’t just the food (which is hearty and well-priced) but the unhurried atmosphere. I spent a long while simply sipping coffee while watching the light shift across the mountains. It’s the kind of place where you forget about time and just let the scenery soak in. Whether you’re on a road trip through Rizal or coming specifically for the view, Tanay Highlands is a must-stop for coffee lovers and anyone chasing that “above the clouds” feeling. #travel#couplestrip#staycation#naturalwonders#thingstodo#seascapes#familytravel#museums#myitinerary#citydaytours#afternoonteatime#localfood#buffets

I didn’t plan to visit Tanay, Rizal but my itchy feet took me there. My original plan was to travel to Romblon but since I was not able to catch the last ferry, I decided to go to the nearest natural area from Manila. I’m lucky to catch the last Van going to Tanay and found a place to stay at Ellen’s Balcony. The next morning I took a tricycle going to Calinawan Cave and I was the only person who’s about to explore the place that time. Or maybe people now are not interested in caving adventures? I don’t see a lot of posts about Calinawan cave and i think it’s underrated. I was amazed by its history and the tour became even more fun because of my awesome tour guide Jhepoy Matalino. The cave was really enchanting! It’s one of Tanay’s hidden gems! 💎 My caving adventure won’t be memorable without him. Have you been to this cave before? Share your experience!🦇 #localescapes #Nature #Cavingadventure #trip #instatravel #caves #CalinawanCave #TanayRizal #Tanay #philippines #luzon #adventure #travel
