As the noodles tumbled in the boiling water, he casually sprinkled on scallions and cilantro, the green and white colors particularly enticing. The minced meat at the bottom of the bowl, seasoned with soy sauce, released a fragrant aroma when hot broth was poured over it, making one's mouth water. Someone added a spoonful of the stall's homemade chili sauce; the glistening red oil floated on the surface, making one sweat from the spiciness but unable to stop eating. A customer next to him handed him a clove of garlic, saying it was essential for the flavor. Biting into it, the spicy juice exploded in his mouth, perfectly balancing the softness of the noodles.
