West Lake - Weekend Getaway

Hangzhou is known for its beautiful west lake and clean city. An hour away from Shanghai this is the perfect spot to get away from city life and enjoy a stroll next to the water and hike up through the tea fields. 🌳 Nature - The scenery is breathtaking. the area is enormous and there are many different walking options. there is a bus service to take to from place to place aswell 🏨 Accommodation - there are a number of boutique hotels and resorts in the west lake area. pick one close to the tea fields and the lake. that way one can hike up the tea fields, and walk around the lake where all the restaurants are. 🚕 Getting there - Get to Hangzhou by train or plane and take a taxi to the west lake. Didi are able to go in and the bus can be alittle crowded over the weekend. so plan ahead. 🍜 Food - Hangzhou Kitchen is mild and sweet. Brazed pork belly is a must and different sea food dishes are worth checking out.
