Fujian Guild Hall in Hui'an Ancient City was founded by Fujian ancestors who came to Hui'an to settle down hundreds of years ago to continue the family history of southern Fujian. It is very similar to the ancestral temples and temples in Fujian and Guangzhou areas in China, and full of strong characteristics of southern Fujian.
Fujian Guild Hall, also known as Jinshan Temple, is the most important Chinese Guild Hall in Hui'an. It was built by Fujian businessmen in 1697 and is an important gathering place for overseas Chinese in Hui'an. Mazu is offered in the chamber, with thousands of miles of eyes and ears on both sides. There is also a classic wooden model of an ancient sailing boat. It is said that there is also a similar model in the Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Singapore. The hall attracts great attention because of its rich decoration and well-preserved gods. Among them, a carp in a porcelain-inlaid pool symbolizes the Yue Long Men, accompanied by Chinese auspicious symbols such as dragon, unicorn and phoenix.
Fujian Guild Hall is a very representative scenic spot in Hui'an and one of the best preserved ancient buildings in Hui'an. It can still be used normally at present. The hall is mostly in red and yellow colors. It is very bright. It worships Mazu, a favorite of Fujian people, and six Fujian people who first came to Hui'an. They laid a solid foundation in Vietnam.
The ancient city of Hui'an, the layout of streets and the style of buildings not only show the simplicity and elegance of Chinese architecture, but also integrate the natural aesthetics and life interest of local people. And there are many guildhalls here, all with the shadow of Chinese culture.
Fujian Guild Hall is the largest one, and it is also the preferred Chinese Guild Hall for many tourists. Inside the hall, the goddess worshipped Tianhou. It is said that it can protect the fishermen who sailed from disasters. It is the God of protection for the early Chinese people who traveled far away. In Fujian Guild Hall, there are also some animal-based design elements, such as dragon, turtle, Phoenix and so on.
I didn't buy tickets, so I didn't go in. In fact, the arrival time is evening, even if you buy tickets, you can't get in. ^^ From the outside, in fact, that is to say, every scenic spot in the ancient town is very similar. It feels like walking around the old town.
The entrance archway of Fujian Guild Hall is not big. There is a long passageway behind the door leading to a patio, in which bonsai and flowers are in full bloom. There are exquisite murals and statues. There are also ancient models of sailing boats in the hall. They are several meters long and the wood is red.
