Thailand's 8 most beautiful islands, each worth visiting again and again!

-
🏝️Koh Samui
Compared to Phuket, Koh Samui has more of a tropical island feel because it is densely covered with coconut groves and islands, the distance between the islands is very close, and the commercial life and entertainment facilities are also very rich.
Honeymoon Island, there are many high-end hotels (Six Senses, Banyan Tree, Ritz Carlton, etc.)
-
🏝️Koh Samet
Koh Samet is about 3~4 hours away from Bangkok, near Pattaya, it is a lesser-known white sand beach, not so commercialized.
-

Krabi is more like a hidden island town in the mountains, with a slow pace of life, not only has a pure blue coastline, but also a unique karst landscape.
-
🏝️Phi Phi Island
Phi Phi Island is an offshore island of Krabi, the towering mountains on the sea paired with the blue sea water is breathtaking, the natural rock caves formed between the mountains are even more surprising

-
🏝️Koh Chang
Koh Chang is also a small island with a well-protected ecological environment, there are many undeveloped islands around, many beaches and primitive forests have not been developed, full of natural quiet atmosphere!
-
🏝️Koh Lipe
Koh Lipe is located on the southernmost coast, bordering Malaysia, away from the hustle and bustle, not overly developed, the ecological environment is very good, known as the small Maldives of Thailand, is a diving paradise in Thailand.
The water quality is very good, clearly layered, from the crystal clear jelly green, gradually to sky blue, and finally to the deep blue gem color, each layer makes people feel incredibly stunning!
Adventures on Elephant Island
Koh Chang in Thailand was the perfect island. we could rest at the Tropical Beach resort and got to do some exploring. There is an old abandoned resort and cruise ship on the island. Our room was right next to it, so we got go exploring. Unfortunately we couldn't get onto the ship but it's still awe inspiring. Can't wait to get to Koh Chang again.

Summer trip in Koh Chang island, Thailand
August and September is low season in Thailand and I was lucky enough to get cheap flight tickets and hotel in Thailand. I took 6 hours bus from Bangkok airport and arrived to this beautiful island.
It supposed to be raining season, but all my 5 days holiday, rain was only during the night time.
Price for hotels and restaurants cheaper then in Pattaya and Bangkok. But not much entertainment.

Why do people prefer to go to Thailand instead of Vietnam?
As both Southeast Asian tourist destinations, why do people prefer to go to Thailand and rarely visit Vietnam? From personal experience, the tourism experiences in these two countries are really different.
No input provided.
Natural scenery: Thailand has extremely rich natural scenery, many of which can be remembered by everyone, such as Phuket Island, Pattaya, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, Zheng Wang Temple, etc. In addition to these, small and niche tourist attractions such as Chiang Khan and Elephant Island are also very worth visiting. The tourism methods are diversified and can meet the needs of different people. Compared to that, there are relatively few well-known tourist attractions in Vietnam.
Tourism environment: Vietnam started and developed its tourism industry later than Thailand, and the overall industry is not as well-developed as Thailand's, so both the infrastructure and tourism environment, including shopping places, are not as abundant as Thailand's.
I have been to Thailand 6 times and Vietnam twice. Overall, Thailand's city streets are cleaner and the cultural environment is better. Thai people are also more friendly and hospitable. My most memorable experience was riding a motorcycle in Thailand alongside cars, even during rush hour, everything was orderly and there was no honking, which I found quite impressive.
Consumer level: The cost of living in Thailand is lower than in Vietnam, and it is also safer. Basically, a person can spend only a few thousand yuan to travel to Thailand for a week. However, there are too many things to buy, such as local jewelry and bags, which cost only tens of yuan. I haven't seen any sky-high prices for souvenirs. Especially, many floating markets are a shopping paradise for women. Speaking of shopping paradise for women, Vietnam is even rarer.
Language environment: There are many people who speak Chinese in Thailand, and learning Chinese is very common in Thailand. Relatively speaking, Chinese people will have fewer language communication barriers when they go there. But if you travel freely in Vietnam, language communication will be very difficult.
Movie promotion: People love Thailand not only because of their personal experiences, but also because of the recent movie promotions that reflect the country's good environment. There are more movies that showcase this in Thailand, especially some public service advertisements that are very touching. However, Vietnam has done very little in this regard.
The above are the reasons why people like to go to Thailand but not Vietnam. What do you think?

Coming to the lonely beach is a long-lost sea. The crystal waves are flocking to the shore again and again. The sand is soft and delicate. There are many small hills in the distance, and the nearby shore is lush green plants.
There are not many people on the beach. Although in Thailand, there are few Asian faces here. Most of the guests and tourists are Europeans and Americans. Lonely beach is not the most popular place in Koh Chang, but the beaches that are not inferior and the relatively low prices have also attracted a group of tourists.
The distance from the pier and the most famous white sand beach is quite long. The traffic is really not convenient.
Walking slowly along the coastline, letting the sea beat on the feet, the sea seems to have such magic, so that you are not afraid of the sun, close to it, get close to it.
The sea here is different from the deep blue of the Indian Ocean, but the fresher blue-green, the surging waves are like a piece of white jade, the sea is clear, I chase after the waves.
Lonely beach is far away, but the price/performance ratio here is really very high, it is very suitable for people who value the price and like quiet~
Lonely beach- Koh Chang
#dreamdestination Koh Chang is one of the largest Thai islands in the Gulf of Thailand. It is great for Snorkelling, diving, camping, and jungle hiking. Lonely beach is one of nice beaches but nowadays it is not lonely anymore. If you are a true party loving, backpacker. Lonely Beach has long been regarded as the best beach to visit.
Lonely Beach discovered
This is one of the kind trip to the remote destination called Lonely Beach. You have to take a ferry first from the mainland and then go there by your own transport or take a local taxi. Even better, rent the motorbike and you got your own wheels to explore the hidden paths that lie beyond the beach. The road is quite hilly towards the end, but still pretty manageable.

Koh Mak, Trat - Thailand: This is not a famous island located in the east part of Thailand. It takes almost an hour ride by speedboat from Trat province. There are some resorts with many styles for your selection on the islands.
The secret island | The paradise floating on the sea, let the time slow down
came to live here for three days, suddenly remembered the words of Tao Yuanming: "A long time in the cage, the return to nature" describes the leisure .
Watching the sunset in the evening, smelling the grass to eat a Thai hot pot, and riding a small motorcycle in the afternoon of the sun to stop and go.
Here is the island of Koha (koh mak) in Thailand with an area of about 20 square kilometers. The tourists are dry and very clean.
External traffic:
-: There are direct speedboats from January to April, and May-October is off-season, not directly from Koh Chang to Ma Island.
Bangkok-Ma Island: You need to go to trat first, then take a boat to Ma Island.
Carpool or chartered car, car and ship transport is very convenient.
Internal traffic:
Motorcycle: Rent a motorcycle for 250 baht a day, the fuel fee will be paid separately, about 50 baht. The road to
Kama is very flat and is ideal for motorcycling.
Double car: There are also fewer cars on the island, but you can basically get to the dock where you can get off the boat and talk to the hotel directly.
h
Mashima There are no special attractions, usually riding a motorcycle around the island, playing with it, the beach is very delicate, and spending an afternoon on the beach is also an excellent choice.
can also take a boat to go around the island.

Samui Island Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Stunning Samui Island in Bangkok 😍
#cherryblossom2024 🌸
The "lying flat" vacation paradise on Samui Island is only about an hour away from Bukit Samui Island in Bangkok.
This beautiful paradise is home to a vast number of people and beautiful scenery. I stayed at Chaven Beach Garden Resort for the first two days, and then at Kimpton for the second two days. When I left the hotel in a bustling area, I could go shopping, stroll in the night market, and eat delicious food. However, the surrounding area was too noisy at night, and I couldn't sleep well.
However, the hotel's swimming pool, beach, and breakfast services were all very good. In the evening, I ordered a glass at the hotel's bar, blew the sea breeze, had a small vine, or went to the bustling market outside to eat, stroll, and jump. It's not bad to meet more people from Europe and America. In the next two days, Kingston is the opposite of this hotel, very quiet and even fewer people. It feels like a pool and beach are included, but it feels like it's for Chinese people. Most of them are Chinese people, and the environment inside is not to mention "playing with the hotel". Sleep until you wake up naturally, have breakfast, and then you can "lie flat" on the lounge chair next to his pool Ordering the same cup of drink, eating ice cream, and then going for a swim to enjoy the tranquility is simply not too enjoyable.
You can also play kayaking for free for half an hour, but you can do horse racing and chicken killing before 5 pm, but you need to make an appointment in advance. The staff will also be off work at 5 pm, and there is one hour of free Happy Hour from 5 pm to 6 pm. You can drink his vines and snacks.
However, the location is relatively remote, and the hotel is not as bustling. There is nothing to go around, so you can only take a taxi to Coco Tams. Speaking of Coco Tams, it is not as good as I imagined. In fact, after watching the Spark Show at the beach, you can go to the night market.
💡Before going, you can watch other people's guides. You can rent a motorcycle, but the two of us... One is that I feel unsafe, two is that I heard I have to hide from the police, and three is that I need to mortgage my passport. If I don't want to, I won't rent it. All I have to do is take a taxi to various places.

Awa Resort Koh Chang Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Not Again AWA
AWA Resort Koh Chang has a lovely façade. Entrance facing the main street so no need to walk through side streets. another side facing the sea which is great to watch the sunset. it got a great pool though water is a bit cool in January. breakfast is plentiful and starts from 7am to 1030am. Room service is quick on delivery, takes no more than 20 minutes.
however, I asked for a quiet room on top floor. they gave me a room on the ground floor and can hear residents upstairs talking (in loud Cantonese), dragging chairs here and there and walking from one side of the room to another. Maybe the definition of “QUIET” and “TOP FLOOR” bear different meaning to AWA.
Also, their wifi is so weak that it is practically not available. I asked the front desk and after waiting for an hour for a technician to come to my room to check it out, front desk told me the technician will check outside my room. but there is no difference after checking.
overall, I think there are many resorts in Koh Chang. AWA is much over-rated. I will return to Koh Chang again but not to AWA
