Doi Suthep Mountain is a commanding elevation in Chiang Mai, 1676 meters above sea level. It is 16 kilometers northwest of the ancient city of Chiang Mai. It is a high mountain with many tourists and dense forests. The hillside is covered with roses of five colours, the top of the hill is covered with white clouds and the scenery is beautiful. There are two famous historical and cultural landscapes in Chiang Mai: Shuanglong Temple in Suteishan and Puping Palace. Shuanglong Temple is halfway up the hill, while Puping Palace is on the top of the hill.
