There are more than 6,000 dead here, mostly in their twenties and thirties, and the oldest in their forties. Today's environment is quiet and beautiful, but more than half a century ago, this is hell on earth. Scanning through several rows of gravestones, many people died between July and September 1943. They dare not imagine that terrible time.
