Rahul Kamal RajIt was a nice hotel to stay and we had a lovely balcony room which we cherished. The room has no daily room services so the room cleanliness is up to you. They have the required tools to keep it clean but after back to back days of 14/15 hours outside trying to make the most of your days in Japan you will most likely not think about cleaning your hotel room!
Staff are friendly and try their best to help.
They said there was no iron but then the next day I saw an iron set with the staff on the reception so not sure if there was a miscommunication with my request preciously, which was annoying but not the end of the world.
They do have free to use washing machines for your laundry just make sure you fully understand the instructions on the machine before using as I managed to make a normal wash into 9 hours of wash and dry and worrying about my clothes 😂😂 Oops!
If you are a first time tourist to Kyoto the location will make it very difficult for you to make the most of your day as you will be rushing back to make the last bus as the train lines are not amazing in this location. But if your looking for more chilled out peaceful local life there are lots of great local restaurants to attend and I would highly recommend take a look at 2254 hotel & lounge for a very aesthetically pleasing coffee and relax cafe work vibe. There are no bar or drink services in Dash Living Gojo but you have very close by a 7/11 and Lawsons.
Overall enjoyed the room and the atmosphere of the location but it’s probably not ideal if you are planning a very intense tourist heavy itinerary for Kyoto.

I don’t usually give bad reviews for hotel, you can check my Google reviews, mostly are 4-5 stars. This hotel’s location a bit away from man Kyoto centre at 7th bridge. Bus station just walking distance but if you come with heavy luggage, still need to take uber/DiDi from Kyoto station if you arrive Kyoto city by train . I actually booked a two full bed quadruple room for 5 nights but upon arrival was given a family room with one double bed. Since we are family with 4 adults and the hotel confirmation letter clearly stated two full beds so I tried to talk to the receptionist called Amar Singh. He just not interested to help and said the booking by trip.com via Rakuten is just family room. I contacted trip.com customer service and try to ask the price difference between the quadruple room and family room. He just refused to even let me know the price difference and keep saying that the quadruple room is not available, even I willing to change room in between, he said that cleaning fees will be applied if I keep changing the room. When I ask about the cleaning fees again he refused to respond. First time I encountered such bad hotel receptionist in my years of travel. Is a shame to Resi Stay’s name. Please note also there is no daily house keeping in this hotel even you stay 5 nights, is this hotel so under staffed??

With our family of five down the mountain near the hotel price is too expensive, we accidentally found this room type, room is large, the price is close to the people, suitable for us. To reach the front desk and room, you need to climb the stairs (may be a remodeled old building, but very Japanese style).
Since we drive by ourselves, we need to walk for3-5 minutes from the free parking space, but the luggage is large (next to Hankyu Busan Station), the handsome and beautiful staff are very dedicated to helping with the luggage to the room, and the Lobby puts a lot of Busan tourism information, (just happened to be summer festival, there are also Japanese nostalgic traditional gadgets for passengers.
Overall, the hotel is close to the residential house but the room is very large and you can see the mountain. The environment is very comfortable and quiet. The handsome and beautiful staff wrote the thank you card before leaving the store, which made us feel sweet.

Guest UserThe hotel receptionist is very welcoming and they are all good at English. The room is quite spacious and there is a kitchen in the room if you fancy cooking yourself. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable to sleep on. It's about 20 minutes walk from the main Kyoto station so if you have luggage, then I would recommend taking a taxi which costs around 1400 yen which is very affordable. Kyoto is a very cultural city and I would love to come back again and stay at Sakura.

Guest UserIt’s a 15-20 minute walk from Kyoto station in a pretty dark alley. The place was very clean when we arrived. There nobody at the counter and we checked in late around 8pm. The staff were kind enough to email us the pass code to our rooms and allow us to check in pass the usual operating hours. We were in Kyoto for 4 nights. The location is convenient and it was clean when we checked in however the room wasn’t cleaned on a daily basis, probably only cleaned once before check in. It’s not ok if you’re someone who expects the room to be cleaned everyday or every couple of days, otherwise it’s fine
The reception is located around 20-30 min walking distance from the inn(near Kyoto station). we wanted to leave our luggage at the reception for awhile after we check out, so we had to travel down to the reception with our luggage after checking out.
We had our luggage transferred from Narita airport to the the inn. We had to email the staff for assistance as the reception is not located at inn.
We overall had a good experience but do take note of the cons if your schedule/requirements are not as flexible. Staff replied to my emails very quickly and were very friendly and flexible.

We stayed at Connect Inn Gion and overall felt the price and location were excellent. The area is very convenient and easy to walk around.
Do note that the building and room PIN codes are only sent after 3pm. For my booking (through Trip.com), I only received the PIN after I asked for it. They will also check what time you are arriving to collect the hotel tax.
The room is not squeaky clean, but for the price it is still acceptable. I did notice the bath tub water looked slightly cloudy compared to the water from the basin, which I noticed when using my own transparent cup.
Amenities like toothbrush and cotton pads are provided. There is also a small kitchenette with cups, plates, and basic utensils. The room I stayed in (302) had 3 beds and 1 futon, and the beds have rollers so you can combine them.
On the second day, my door did not auto-lock, but I called the property through the Trip.com app and it was resolved. There is also a free washing machine and dryer on the first floor, shared by all guests. It’s a bit old, but still usable.
Overall, the place is slightly run-down, but the great price and perfect location make up for it. We still enjoyed our stay.

Stayed at this accommodation during December, just before New Year for 4D3N and the price was worth it. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the place and the apartment felt very new. The accommodation has a washing machine but do note that the dryer function is in the bath itself. Loved the fact that the room provided a folder of instructions on how to use the different amenities in the room (like washing machine, dryer in the bath, etc.) and how to go about visiting different attractions in Kyoto.
Do take note that the check-in counter is located near Kyoto station while the accommodation is located somewhere else. The accommodation is a 10mins walk from the nearest train station or 7mins walk from the nearest bus stop. Hence, do account for this when checking-out with luggage. But when checking-in, they do provide the service to send your luggage from the check-in counter to your accommodation and also a ride for you from the check-in counter to the accommodation.
Highly recommend this accommodation for its cleanliness and newly furnished place, if you do not mind walking to the apartment from the nearest public transportation station/stop.

The service from Manager Liu and Xiao Liu was very thoughtful. Being Chinese, communication was very easy. They provided complimentary clear umbrellas and trash bags, which was a nice touch.
The room was quite spacious; we could open two suitcases. The cleanliness could be improved, though. The provided cutlery, cookware, and cutting board weren't clean; there were oily residues from previous cooking. There were also hairs on the bathroom wall. I'd suggest they replace the hairdryer with one that has a stronger airflow.
The bathroom's heater/dryer unit had a drying function with a hanging rod, which was excellent – clothes dried overnight. The kitchen's range hood was very powerful; there was no smoky smell when we grilled.
The location is great. It's just one subway stop to Shijo, which is more convenient than my previous stay in Karasuma. There's also a Life supermarket two bus stops away, and plenty of dining options downstairs.

Guest UserOur group needed a kitchen since Japanese food isn't always to everyone's taste, and we stumbled upon this place. From the moment we walked in, everyone was so impressed – it was even better than we expected! I got a lot of compliments for choosing such a great place, haha. The facilities are genuinely amazing!!! I'd definitely want to stay here again. Every time I've been to Japan before, even with the subway, my accommodations were always a bit of a distance, but this time it was only a 5-minute walk!!!! ❤️ And the convenience store was close by too!!

This time I chose an apartment-style hotel, which is about a 1-minute walk from Exit 3 of Marutamachi Station on the Karasuma Line and a 2-3-minute walk from the Kinkakuji/Kiyomizu-dera bus stop. It is very convenient to reach various attractions. There are FamilyMart, 7-11, McDonald's, and supermarkets nearby. The room is spacious 👍, with kitchen utensils, oven, microwave, washer and dryer, electronic scale...all available. There is a large table in the room, which is a place where our family of five can go home every day to have late night snacks without being crowded. The teenagers enjoyed their stay very much and will choose this place again next time they visit Kyoto👍.
