I loved staying at this hotel! Having the station so close was fantastic. The double room with a private bathroom was very spacious and comfortable. You can tell the bathrooms are a bit dated, but for a two-night stay, I have no complaints.

The hotel is very nice and modern. The staffs are helpful and friendly. The room is spacious and clean. The only problem is the location. It is not located in the touristy area. There is no easy public transportation to the grand place except by bus or taxi/uber. Walking to grand place takes around 30 mins passing through Brussels Park and Royal Palace. The positive point is that the area where the hotel is located is very quiet.

So close but not so far from the old town or maybe the attractions which is good, if you’re staying inside around the grand palace, it may get noisy so this place is really in a good place so location is very strategic 😘 From the train station (Midi Station), 2 stops away and you can walk to the hotel easily 🫶🏻 This hotel is kinda old so it gives off the old vibes but you got what you need and breakfast is good 😄 everybody is so welcoming ~ if you’re in a budget and still want a good hotel to stay, here is the place 👍🏻 thank you 🫰🏻

We checked in early and got a room right away, which was great because I wasn't feeling well and could rest immediately. The bed was very comfortable, and I slept really well. There's a large shopping mall across the street, and it's only a 15-minute walk along the shopping street to the Old Town, where you'll find attractions like Manneken Pis and the City Hall.

The hotel boasts a prime location, very close to the Brussels Grand Place, within walking distance. Numerous restaurants and shops are located downstairs. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations and upgrades. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, offering excellent value for money.

Across from Midi train station. It's a 15-minute walk to the city center. If you choose Flibco buses to get to Charleroi Airport, the stop is nearby. It's a quiet, clean hotel. However, the breakfast fee is very high at 25 Euros per person.

From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the modern setting and the artistic, welcoming atmosphere of the hotel. · Ideal location: Perfectly situated in the heart of Brussels, with direct access to Rogier metro station and just a 15-minute walk from the Grand-Place. · Spacious and stylish rooms: The rooms are among the largest in the city, very modern, spotless, and tastefully decorated. · Breathtaking view: The view of the city from the rooms and the rooftop is simply stunning. Our stay was pleasant, the hotel is very clean.

A wonderful hotel right next to the Botanical Gardens. Quiet rooms. Sadly, however, the doors are quite thin and have a gap at the bottom, so you can hear everything that is happening outside of your room and also can hear everything that’s happening inside the rooms when you are in the hallway. Besides, the bathroom door is incredibly thin and the bathrooms are very echoey, so travelling not solo might introduce some awkwardness if you are one of the people with shy bladders. Other than that, everything was great. Clean, friendly, top service.

This hotel is really old... Don't let the five-star rating fool you, it feels more like a three-star. The elevator is incredibly slow, from 1999! The furniture in the room is also very dated. The front desk sells bottled water in glass bottles for 8 euros a pop – ridiculous. As our Belgian client told us, the hotel's location is right between a safe area and an unsafe one. It's close to the light rail, but there's no elevator from the light rail station to the street level, which is quite annoying. Walking to the city center is fairly convenient though. For the price, it offers good value for money; other hotels in the same area are more expensive.

The Standard Hotel in Brussels is located in the Northern Quarter, an area characterized by government buildings, offices, and a large number of 60s and 70s office blocks, making it sparsely populated. The hotel cleverly utilizes this somewhat cold, stark modernist urban backdrop by injecting color, warmth, abundant greenery, and local Brussels creative culture. The interiors were designed by Belgian architect Bernard Dubois. He masterfully blends design languages from different periods of the 20th century: from Art Deco, American and Belgian modernism, to postmodernism and the 80s. Warm wood finishes, 1930s-style carpets, and circular and arched structures are interspersed throughout, creating a retro yet timelessly chic look. The hotel also showcases numerous works by local Belgian artists. The most prominent piece at the entrance is Jan Janssens' ceramic sculpture, 'The Dance.' Jan often explores the human position within urban systems through figures and giant city architecture. 🙋🏾♀️One pro: It's absolutely beautiful! 😌One con: It's in a business district, so there aren't many restaurants or supermarkets nearby, which can be a bit inconvenient at night.
