We stayed at The Langlands for my birthday and had a fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and the rooms are modern, stylish, and incredibly comfortable. It felt like a true celebration.
The only downside was the external car parking. We had to wait 30 minutes for our car to be brought around at check-out, which was a bit of a letdown for such a high-end stay. Aside from the parking delay, it was a wonderful experience!

Guest UserThe hotel is right by Lake Te Anau, just across the road, offering stunning lake views as soon as you step out. Parking is convenient, and the room size is medium, perfectly adequate and clean for a tourist stay. There's no elevator, so carrying heavy luggage upstairs was a bit strenuous. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of food, and the restaurant is nice. The hotel is about 700-800 meters from the Chinese restaurants in town, which is reasonably convenient.

The main reason to go to Invercargill is to check in at the world's southernmost Starbucks. Etc. The hotel parking lot is in the public parking lot diagonally opposite. You need to register your license plate at the front desk before you can park, but it is free. There is a shopping mall in Invercargill and the world's southernmost Starbucks near the hotel. There is also a Queen's Park to visit. The town is not big and not crowded and very quiet.

Was priced very cheap - room clean but very dated , camp kitchen needed a good scrubbing, broken amenities and no washing machine working - BUT hospitality was great and restaurant attached gave us one of the nicest and cheapest meals we had - took some famous sausages to cook away with us.
We were in hostel so was cheapest accommodation they had - 4 people room was only $100

The family room's beds, I believe both are two 0.9m beds pushed together, which made them quite large. Parking right outside the room was very convenient. The bathroom was spacious, but a bit empty; it would be better with some hooks. The shower gel and shampoo were in individual bottles, and should have been placed on a caddy in the shower, rather than under the sink. My child didn't even notice them and just rinsed with hot water. It would be even more convenient if there was an additional sink at the mini-bar counter. It's only a ten-minute walk to the Firefly Cave jetty, and about eight minutes to nearby restaurants, which is very handy. VILLAGE INN also has its own restaurant, but we arrived late at 7 PM on New Year's Eve, and they couldn't accommodate us. We were also rushing to catch the 8:15 PM Firefly Cave boat, so we didn't get to eat there.

The very intimate couple runs this homestay. Since the two rooms need to share a bathroom, they generally rent a room. If a family or two good friends and couples are willing to share a bathroom, they will rent two rooms. In addition to the bedroom, they also provide a living room for guests to use. Knowing that we were going to Bluff to taste the oysters, they recommended us the address to buy them. The breakfast was also very delicious and the hostess Diana was very talkative

I originally booked a lake-view apartment, but they upgraded me to a villa suite for free because of renovations. The hotel felt like it was nestled in a garden; although many flowers weren't in bloom this season, you could still see signs of careful landscaping. There were even benches outside overlooking the garden.

This hotel has slippers, it is relatively clean, and valet parking is very convenient. The breakfast is really average, maybe because there are fewer people living, and there is a charge for frying an omelette.
