I really like the hotel, super comfortable, nice, clean. The only negative detail is that they ask you to bring a swimming cap to use the pool, I'm not saying it's bad, but who brings a swimming cap when travelling? Otherwise everything is very nice... Very attentive and friendly those who serve at reception
The room is okay, the town is relatively small, very close to the town center, walked to find a restaurant, and saw a Chinese-owned friendship mall. Prices are relatively low in Europe, and I feel safe.
Reasonable hotel, we found a very good price here on Trip.
Positive points: Smells good, welcome drink of Port wine at reception, some nice details, as you would expect in a 4-star hotel. Good cleaning and room service. Good rooms and breakfast. Underground parking.
Negative points:
We didn't like the service and the reception staff.
We didn't have SPA robes in the room. It was a challenge to obtain, we were only given 2 for 4 people, and we had to ask for another 2 the next day. Unforgiven.
The SPA area was very weak, the Turkish bath didn't work, the indoor pool was old and the decor was outdated.
It was a special date, we made that clear several times and there was not a single attention from the hotel to the birthday people, not even a birthday candle, absolutely nothing. We would have to pay €30 to have our room decorated with sparkling wine. Because without paying, the hotel will not come forward with anything. It's a small hotel, we expected more customer attention.
If you want to experience the life of a vampire, it is definitely worth coming. It fits this setting from all angles: a grand but decadent building, located in the mountains surrounded by dense forests, inconvenient transportation, a stunning lobby, super high windows, you can see the forest and fog, ancient furniture, not enough service staff so you have to wait for everything, old facilities, no food or drink, the roast suckling pig nearby is invincible but you have to take a taxi 5 kilometers down the mountain to eat.
Although the facilities and services are not worthy of this star, as a person with a Gothic sentiment, I didn't want to leave after living there for 3 days and getting used to this rhythm.
Fabulous. Impeccable service and staff, spa with very good heated pool. Sauna and jacuzzi included in the spa. The spa was free for guests to enter. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the chef deserves a Michelin star at the very least. It was simply divine. The breakfast was also very good. What an unforgettable experience, we felt as if we had enjoyed first class service in the 1920s. The whole atmosphere makes the guest feel like they are traveling back in time with all the luxury. The rooms are modern and comfortable. I've been to many guesthouses, but I've never been to a place like this that met all the requirements and gave that feeling of lost luxury. A jewel to (re)discover. The best historic hotel in Portugal. I will definitely be back very soon as there is no other palace hotel or guesthouse that comes close to this one.
The hotel was very clean. The staff very welcoming and willing to help with anything. The beakfast was great and the decoration wonderful! Iwill repeat the stay in that hotel if I have the opportunity.
If someone is looking for a non-commercial place, but at the same time warm, friendly and naturally composed, then this is a 100% sure choice: without the advantage of form over substance, excellent cuisine (I recommend buying the HB option, it's worth it!), very friendly staff, no crowds and full harmony with the surrounding nature. The location on the lagoon itself adds an additional touch of nature. Away from the hustle and bustle, without rushing. You may get the impression that time slows down here a bit, or maybe it flows differently?
Very satisfied, I had a good rest last night! In the morning, I walked out of the balcony to see the blue sky and the sea. I could almost see the other end of the sea on the American coast. There was also the first rainbow in 2024. I was full of hope and confidence in the future. !
We had an excellent experience at the facility. The view of and the proximity to the ocean topped our experience. We loved it! We will stay there again! But...it would be nicer if more attention is paid to the cleanliness of the outside environment of the facility. The entrance area was unkempt. Please look into that. Apart from that, we had a great time. And it was close to everything else: restaurant, shopping etc.

Very Good
BblancaVery good, there are many parking spaces near the hotel without parking in the hotel parking lot. From the hotel, you can walk to the city center along the river. In the evening, there are Fado singers singing in the front hall.

GGuest UserA wonderful room with a great bed and two sticky coats and I have a problem with the column, I have been sleeping very well. The toilet is small but there was no problem, the shower effect is huge and the Azzaro amenities formidable. The top roof at the end of the day with view to the channel and a drink is top. The breakfast is wonderful and nothing is missing, natural juice, fruit, tea, coffee, yoghurts, mexed eggs and bacon, various breads and croissants, different sweetness, that's what was served to me at the table and we fight the waste of buffets, At least in the small hotels where it is clearly unjustified. Congratulations to the collaborators who crossed with me, all professional and sympathetic. I recommend and will certainly come back. Thank you

BBrunaThe hotel is very pleasant, very clean and very well located. Breakfast is good
The only negative point is the jacuzzi in the room where the water is warm (it was 27 degrees)
