This was our last night in Kunming before heading home after the 2026 Chinese New Year holiday, and the hotel exceeded our expectations. The room was incredibly spacious and clean, and the bed was huge and comfortable. It also had amenities like a fridge, a large TV, and smart voice control, which felt a step above typical hotels in the city. The suite with two separate bedrooms was perfect for multiple families staying together, ensuring a quiet night's sleep. It's especially ideal for a relaxing stopover before catching a flight.
Changshui Airport Shuttle Service: The suite included complimentary airport transfer services provided by the hotel. They offer drop-offs as early as 4:30 AM, and it only takes about 15 minutes to reach the airport under normal conditions, which is very convenient. The driver was excellent, even helping us load our luggage into the car. Highly recommend!
Service: The hotel reception and other services were also very attentive. Service staff member 333 left a strong impression with their warmth and thoughtfulness, even gifting us some flower cakes, which was a lovely touch. Many thanks (˶‾᷄ ⁻̫ ‾᷅˵)
My boyfriend and I chose this place right when we arrived in Lijiang. As soon as we got to the entrance, the staff helped us with our luggage upstairs and even upgraded our room! From the top floor, you can see Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Every afternoon, they have a Tibetan-style butter tea demonstration and tasting, plus a self-service afternoon tea with snow mountain views. The next day, we had an early start for our trip to the snow mountain, and the hotel even prepared a simple meal for us. The rooms aren't actually inside the Ancient Town, which means it's quieter, but it's still very close – about a 1km walk. There are also lots of great food options nearby! Highly recommend!

I haven't stayed at Atour many times, but I chose this Atour for my first night in Kunming, mainly because of its excellent location. It's very close to Kunming Station and near Kunming Old Street, so I could explore the night scenery there. The parking lot is on the fourth floor across the street. You have to carry your luggage down to the first floor, cross the street, take an elevator to the seventh floor, and then reach the Atour front desk, which was a bit inconvenient. The room wasn't very big, and both the bed and duvet felt a bit small. However, all the facilities and equipment were brand new. I'm particular about the comfort of shower facilities, and they proved to be excellent, even better than those at the InterContinental Kunming where I stayed later. The congee in the evening was thick and delicious, very refreshing. The gym, though small, was fully equipped, and they even placed a bottle of water on each piece of equipment, showing great attention to detail. While breakfast wasn't particularly lavish, the staff were exceptionally good. Even when they announced that they were about to close, they were still refilling depleted food items, which many hotels costing thousands wouldn't necessarily do. Overall, after this short stay, I'm very satisfied with Atour; I feel like I've become a fan.

This is an excellent spot for people who are visiting Lijiang. It is within Lijiang Old Town which has so much to do. There are tons of places to stay, but this place is right outside the north gate, about 200M. Very accessible and drivers/tour groups to Tiger Leaping Gorge/Jade Dragon Mountain can easily pick you up from here.
It is within Lijiang Old Town so cars cannot come in. Don’t make the mistake of not messaging ahead of time that you need a cart to take your luggage like I did. They will come pick you up free of charge. Add them on WeChat and they will respond quickly to any requests. The place has 2 entrances, one is a coffee shop. They have tea and snacks, plus a lovely garden for guests. There is plenty of space to put your bags and comes with a humidifier for the drier air. I highly recommend this to travellers who are coming from afar. The breakfast was great as well.

The Owner was very helpful in organising a day tour of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.
We also upgraded to a better room with a beautiful view of Lichiang for a reasonable additional fee.
We were able to wash our clothes in their washing machine & hang them put to dry in our Balcony with a clothes line specially installed for this purpose. Additional hangers were provided as well !
The location was right in the middle of Lichiang Ancient City..and we were easily able to explore this lovely City.
Overall it was an excellent experience & we highly recommend this Hotel.

This hotel boasts an excellent location, and because it's situated on a higher floor within the building, it's incredibly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the bustling city. Downstairs, you'll find everything you could want for dining, entertainment, and shopping. You can easily explore the pedestrian street or Kunming Old Street for various delicious local foods. The front desk staff was incredibly welcoming and even upgraded our room to the highest floor, the 28th. Despite being in the city center, the hotel also provides free parking, which is extremely convenient if you're driving. I would definitely choose this Four Points by Sheraton again on my next visit to Kunming.

I recently spent five nights (four days) at this wonderful property, and overall, it was an outstanding experience.
The Hospitality
The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the host. He was incredibly hospitable and always on hand to assist us at a moment's notice. Whether we needed extra amenities or a quick replacement for something in the room, he dealt with it immediately. Furthermore, his local knowledge was invaluable; he provided excellent recommendations for sightseeing and dining, and he went above and beyond to help resolve a few personal issues we encountered during our trip.
The Location
The location is perfect—smack-bang in the middle of everything. Because it is so centrally located, you have attractions to both the left and the right, meaning nothing is ever too far away. It serves as a brilliant base for exploring the area.
Points to Note
While I would still give this stay a full 10/10, there are a few things to be aware of:
Noise Levels: Due to the stunning views, the property is quite exposed to the sounds of the local traffic and passing cruises. There was also some ongoing construction noise nearby, which is understandable given the area's development, but it’s worth noting if you are a light sleeper.
Facilities: The laundry facilities are a bit limited, with only one small washing machine available. A couple more machines would definitely be a welcome addition for guests
.
Summary
Despite the minor noise issues, the place is absolutely awesome. The warmth of the host and the convenience of the location far outweigh any downsides. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it!

Overall, it was a good stay. The location is super convenient, within walking distance to Nanping Pedestrian Street, Nanqiang Street, and Old Street. The service was very thoughtful, offering amenities like laundry facilities and common medicines, plus a humidifier. The breakfast was also delicious.
On the downside, the building feels a bit old, and the soundproofing isn't great.
However, for this price point, it definitely deserves a five-star rating. I'd recommend staying here.
The hotel is located right within the Dongfengyun Scenic Area, and I honestly think it's the best hotel both inside and around the area! You can enter and exit the scenic area 24/7, allowing you to fully enjoy both the day and night views. During Chinese New Year, there were even light and dance shows, making the night scenery mysteriously stunning. The hotel itself is an Instagram-worthy spot with a fantastic design; every photo turns out great, so definitely set aside time to explore it slowly. There's a shuttle cart service from the hotel to the scenic area, and within the area, you can use the shuttle carts or rent a small electric scooter for a fee. I wouldn't recommend walking as it's sunny and vast, not very suitable for the elderly.
**Facilities**
We stayed in a suite with two rooms, and it was super spacious – easily accommodating our family of six. Snacks, drinks, and water were proactively refilled, which was a thoughtful touch. The only minor drawback was that the air conditioning wasn't cooling during Chinese New Year, so it was a bit warm during the day. We had to open the windows for ventilation to sleep. The hot spring area incurs an additional charge, so you can experience it if you wish.
**Cleanliness**
It was clean and tidy, with prompt housekeeping. There were no unpleasant odors, and both public areas and rooms were cleaned very promptly. Drinking water supply was unlimited and delivered to the room as needed.
**Dining**
The breakfast spread was rich, and the restaurant's location was superb, creating a fantastic ambiance for eating and taking photos. Lunch and dinner were on the pricier side and not very extensive, but the taste was decent. If you have time, I'd recommend heading into Mile city to try local delicacies instead.
**Surroundings**
It's a 10-minute drive from the high-speed rail station, but a bit far from the city center and the Mile Giant Buddha. For a day trip or two-day trip, I'd suggest booking a private car. The nearby wineries aren't particularly special, so you can skip them. The hotel itself is worth staying at for two or three days, perfect for a vacation.
**Summary**
High aesthetic appeal, excellent location, quiet, and comfortable. Highly recommended for family trips, couples' getaways, especially for those who love taking photos, travel photography, and exploring Dongfengyun in depth!

We stayed for three days in total. On the first day, since there were no rooms available, we stayed at Chenyao. The room itself was very small, which was clearly stated on the booking page, but the facilities weren't great. First, the faucet would splash water everywhere if turned on too much, and if turned on too little, it would leak from behind onto the floor, which was quite uncomfortable. Secondly, the heating wasn't very effective, and even after staff came to fix it, it didn't improve much. Plus, the room was right next to the public cafe, so it was very noisy during the day when people were around. For the next two days, we stayed in the Tanchun room type. The hotel upgraded us for free, and the room itself was quite good, with decent facilities and a nice view. However, the hotel staff's service attitude wasn't very good. Hotel breakfast was from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM. One day, we wanted to leave early and asked for breakfast at 8:00 AM, but they insisted we wait until 8:20 AM. The next day, we woke up later and by 10:10 AM, everything had already been cleared away. Couldn't they have offered us some non-perishable items like bread? Also, if you're not in good physical condition, you should think twice about staying here because while you can drive up to the hotel, getting down to the ancient town requires climbing many steep steps, which makes going back and forth quite inconvenient.

AAnonymous UserI recently stayed at this brand-new hotel (opened in 2024), and it was such a nice experience. If you want a place with lots of extras, this is it. They have two pool tables, a small rooftop pool, and two gyms—one for yoga and Pilates with all the equipment, and another with treadmills, bikes, free weights, and even a Smith machine. There’s also a laundry room with washers, which was really handy.
The breakfast was delicious with plenty of choices, but you’ll want to arrive early to get the best selection. The staff were all very friendly, but Fei Xiu (绯袖) on WeChat was especially helpful—she answered all my questions quickly and made everything easy.
The location isn’t right on the riverbank near the Starlight Market, but it’s not far from tourist spots either. It’s actually in a good spot if you want a quieter stay while still being close enough to everything.
If you’re looking for a modern, well-equipped hotel with great service, I’d definitely recommend this one!

UUlysess444The hotel's facilities and services are excellent, with many thoughtful details that really show they care about guests. The way to activate the power is unique; instead of inserting a card into a narrow slot, you place it on a tray with a groove at the bottom, which is much simpler, especially in dim lighting. There are plenty of hangers and various surfaces to place your belongings. The smart room control system is very user-friendly, allowing individual control of lights in different areas. The 'disposable' slippers are fantastic – clean, comfortable, and environmentally friendly. The room has a mix of wooden flooring and small area rugs, offering the comfort of a carpet while being easy to keep clean, which is much better than fully carpeted rooms. The toilet is the best I've encountered in a hotel; the heated seat is just the right temperature, not too hot, and the flush is quiet yet very effective. While the wide front of the seat and the automatic sensor for opening and closing the lid aren't groundbreaking features, they significantly enhance the user experience. The shower controls are a bit unique, with two separate switches for the handheld and overhead showerheads. This means you can't control water flow and temperature simultaneously, but you get used to it. If I had to pick a flaw, it would be the toilet paper – it lacks elasticity and tears easily.

GGuest UserSan Jin Xiao Bao is incredibly cute!!! The free merchandise included a San Jin fridge magnet, which was absolutely adorable!! The staff at the hotel were all very friendly. The room had a nice view too, and it was quite convenient to get around to attractions. The afternoon tea was delicious as well!! The only downside was that there were limited and not very tasty options for takeout that could be ordered to the hotel.
GGuest UserAlthough Xi Shuang Ban Na UrCove claims they are a smoke-free hotel, from what I have seen this is not really true. I suggest People who are allergic to cigarette smoke or have health issues related to cigarette smoke definitely go somewhere else. I saw guests as well as hotel employees openly smoking in the front lobby of this hotel. Front desk clerks and supervisor saw this but not only said nothing to the offenders but when I complained about this, the front desk clerk ignored me and glared at me for complaining.
Bedroom: very spacious and clean. beddings and sheets were very clean and comfortable.
Toilet: was a very new style and with a temperature toilet seat
Shower area: It was a disaster. The glass panel dividing the toilet and the shower area was poorly installed, so water from the shower area leaked everywhere. It was quite dangerous because the floor outside the shower was a smooth piece of floor tile. My wife almost slipped and fell down. We immediately told the front desk that night, and all they did was send someone to wipe up the water that's all. There was no follow-up after that.
Breakfast: This has got to be the worst hotel I have ever been to regarding breakfast. The majority of the breakfast items were Chinese food which I have no complaints about, although I do not eat Chinese breakfast. The biggest problem was, when we went for breakfast after 9:15 am there were lots of emptied food containers and plates which was used to hold breakfast food items. Breakfast was supposed to end at 10:00 am. 9:15 am NO croissant, Not even a simple slice of bread which I can make toast with. I also checked the Chinese food items and lots of containers were emptied as well. I then went to ask a staff where I could at least get a piece of bread. Her answer was, there isn't anymore sliced bread and what you see is what you get. There was hardly anything to eat?!?!?! I was furious and I demanded to have a couple of pieces of sliced bread. In the end, kitchen staff Mr. Wang came to my rescue and cooked me and my wife each two fried eggs. On top of it, Mr. Wang went out to get me sliced bread from outside the hotel so that my wife will at least have something to eat for breakfast. On the second day of breakfast, there was no coffee after 9:15 am as the coffee machine went into cleaning mode for at least half an hour. The chief of Chef did end up helping me to get a cup of coffee but from what I can see, this hotel is NOT ready to receive international guests.
Totally disappointed in the Urcove Xi Shuang Ban Na. Totally not the Hyatt standard at all. I really believe Hyatt management in Texas really should not take the risk of damaging their great brand by letting this hotel be branded with Hyatt's Name. The way this Xi Shuang Ban Na Urcove is operating, they are worse than locally managed/owned hotels.
OOlive GohWhen I started planning our itinerary for our 15 day Yunnan holiday, I plotted out our path to go all the way up to Shangri-la, back down to Kunming and then to Jiaozi Snow Mountain and Dongchuan Red Land. Then I chanced upon a video of Aini Garden and fell in love! The only reason we came to Pu'er was to get to Aini. This was the first place I booked, and I really took a chance because it has a no cancellation policy and I really had to stick to the date once it was made.
The initial pre-arrival experience was less than pleasant. I didn't know how we were going to get to the manor and my WeChat messages went unanswered. The hotel we stayed at in Pu'er finally got in touch with someone and got them to message me. I asked how we could get there and the answer was a curt ”take a taxi or charter a car”. No pleasantries of ”we look forward to seeing you” or offering to arrange a car.
When we arrived, no one was at reception and no one came out. Our driver was so perplexed he wondered if we were in the right place and if the place was open. Finally a young girl came out and registered us in. There was an air of aloofness from everyone else. However, once we were checked in, things warmed up quickly. We were offered coffee and freshly cut papaya and had a nice introduction chat with the lady staff.
The bedroom and bathroom is well appointed, spacious and comfortable. We would have enjoyed sitting on the balcony if the chairs were more comfortable. I love the floor to ceiling glass windows but the panel above the door should also be glass (it is just netting) so traffic sounds from the road actually comes through at night. I actually wanted to book the cottage in the hills but opted for the standard room in the main house because I was worried it would be cold. Big regret as it is actually magnificently located with stunning views. However take note that you will need to call for a buggy ride or make a 1km hike every time you want to eat or get to the main house. If you are self driving, no issues as you can park right next to the cottage. Anyway it's a small price to pay for an unlimited view of the milky way and seclusion.
This is as close to a Ryokan experience as you can get in China, minus the hot springs. 3 days 2 nights of blissful, carefree living is not quite enough. They make sure they feed you well, with the freshest produce available for hotpot dinner and home-cooked Yunnanese dishes for lunch. There are so many activities organised, from taking you up the mountain for a glimpse of sunrise (with mountain goats for company ❤️) to coffee plantation education tour to horseback riding along the mountain ridges (the view is spectacular!) to scavenging for wild vegetables and fruits to drinking, dancing and singing around the campfire! So much to do, so little time!
One area of improvement I personally would like to see is the coffee serving. They tend to be quite snobbish about how their coffee is taken. Neat, with nothing else. Asking for sugar or milk feels nearly scorned upon. Coffee is a versatile drink and can be savoured in a huge variety of ways. How else is Starbucks so successful? I felt kind of stifled and deprived because I love a good latte and had looked forward to enjoying an unlimited indulgence of coffee throughout our stay.
Anyhow, I love the ecotourism efforts here. It feels natural and unpretentious. I love the people and the camaraderie they cultivate. I especially enjoyed talking to their consultant 敬梅, a beautiful lady with extensive knowledge in Yunnan culture and ecological progress. Also thank you to 徐芳 for arranging transport back to town and giving helpful recommendations. We hope to return again.
GGuest UserAmbiance: Tranquil and secluded, a unique Chinese aesthetic. The entire room was filled with the scent of aromatherapy incense, which was incredibly refreshing. I loved the citronella essential oil and bought over 1000 yuan worth, getting a 30% discount – quite a good deal.
Facilities: The open-air heated massage private onsen was fantastic. The room directly faced the 'Golden Mountain in Sunlight' view.
Service: Our butler, Luna, provided excellent service. She helped us book a photography session in advance, arranged our room, including housekeeping, answered all our questions, booked our airport transfer, and took care of little things like the 'Little Turtle' welcome gift and bottled water. Highly recommend! The turndown service was particularly special: on the first night, we had a rose milk foot bath in a copper basin, and on the second night, it was a coarse salt foot bath in a copper basin. Breakfast was also good and came with a scenic view.
One-way airport transfer between the hotel and Lijiang Sanyi Airport: The airport drop-off service was good.
One complimentary ethnic costume photography session (requires booking at least 1 day in advance): I had already taken photos in ******* and Yi costumes a few days prior, so here I tried on Miao ethnic clothing, which was another great experience of local culture. I didn't add any extra photos beyond the included five.
Seasonal welcome fruit: We received small fruit baskets on both days. In the evening, there were fresh juices and small cakes – red pitaya juice and orange juice. There was also a large cake in the fridge!
GGuest UserThe smart toilet actually needs to be connected to the Bluetooth of your mobile phone to use it! I have to think about how to flush my ****! The most important thing is that your hotel swimming pool does not release water during the National Day! I ordered you for 1060. The next day, I decisively booked Atour 950, which is more than 200 meters away from you. The environment is better than yours and the rooftop swimming pool is also very big! The service, hardware and software facilities are better than yours!
__APC502968****This time, my boyfriend and I traveled together and stayed for 3 nights. Because the same room type was fully booked, we had to change to an upstairs room on the second day. The owner was incredibly enthusiastic and always offered to help us move our large suitcases, they were so kind! One night, my boyfriend suffered from altitude sickness in the early hours, and I messaged the owner. They replied instantly and brought us an oxygen tank, constantly checking in on us, which was truly touching! The breakfast every day was freshly cooked and fragrant rice noodles. The room was also very spacious and clean. In terms of location, it's very close to Sanyue Street, great for shopping, and also close to the ancient city. You can even rent an electric scooter from the owner! There's also a billiard table downstairs for entertainment! I have to say it again, the owner is really, really nice!! I didn't actually take any photos of the hotel, but the environment is really good!
__WeChat21847****They proactively upgraded our room for an early check-in. The room was clean, spacious, and bright, with a very pleasant sea view. It was thoughtful of them to label the switches and appliances. All the electrical appliances were new and very clean. The butler assigned to us was very responsive, replied promptly on WeChat, and even offered to arrange airport/train station pickup. The takeaway food they recommended was also delicious. I highly recommend staying here before ending your Dali trip, as it's very close to both the airport and the high-speed rail station. We decided to visit Weishan on our last free day, and it was a convenient day trip, putting a perfect end to our journey.
GGuest UserWe had the best time in Vento! The room was spacious, clean, and aesthetically pleasing and calming. The lake view and snow mountain view was spectacular. The hotel staff members were all so nice, and I mean everyone that we came across! They prepared afternoon tea and packed a special takeaway breakfast for our morning hike to Yulong Snow mountain, a sweet gesture we really appreciated. After visiting Kunming, Dali and Lijiang, this hotel by far exceeds all expectations. Highly recommended!!! Kudos to the amazing team who serve with hearts and passion 😊♥️
