The reception desk was super welcoming. There were two girls on the desk, and I stood at the desk for at least like 10 seconds before they before I was standing there even though I said ”Ni Hao”. They look so miserable and couldn't even smile. The hotel must treat them so terribly. The room wall was full black scratch marks every where. The hotel looks only 50% like the photo. The cleaner did the bare minimum, my sink was dirty and didn't even clean it. Don't believe about the gym or amenities. The only thing I like about the hotel is the location and the neighborhood. It feel very authentic and cozy neighborhood with lively students and nice fast local eateries. There is a cozy Cafe near by.

We had a fantastic stay at the Crowne Plaza Baoji. The room was spacious and offered a stunning view of the city and the river . The hotel's location is excellent for both sightseeing and business . A special thank you to Jessica, the manager, who was incredibly helpful and spoke excellent English, making us feel very welcome. In fact, all the staff were remarkably attentive and professional throughout our stay . The facilities, including the indoor pool and the sky bar on the 40th floor, were top-notch . A truly wonderful experience and probably the best hotel in the city!

Hotel is literally next to the entrance of the subway/train station and bell tower. If u need a night snack, there are many stalls and restaurants around the hotel, like the chang an da pai dang. Do note that this is a busy location, so you can hear just abit of traffic noise if you are sensitive to it.. for us, no issue and slept soundly. Special thanks for the staff, they are so helpful. Rooms were clean and spacious, and all amenities were working. Highly recommended. Thanks to all the staff!!

We booked for 2nights in April and it came with breakfast, first run of minibar, Single Tang Dynasty themed travel photography & Imperial Hot Spring Twelve Hours Experience. As our room has its own hot bath that fills up every night at 7.30pm to 12.30am, we did not go to the Imperial hot spring which is at located in another building. Hotel: It is located in the Hua Qing Palace scenic area and for hotel guests, you can enter and exit the scenic area freely. In the scenic area, there are other eateries like KFC and coffee joints but they operate only during scenic area opening hours. The Hua Qing Palace consists of many cultural sites like Tang Dynasty Imperial Hot Spring Relics Museum, Xi’an Incident site, Five Rooms Hall, Jiulonghu Lake and Furonghu Lake scenic spot, Tang Dynasty Pear Garden Relics Museum and many landmark buildings, such as Feishuang Hall Wanshou Hall, Longevity Hall, Huan Garden and Emperor Yu Palace. Service: The staff in the hotel are helpful to assist and answers all my questions in a clear manner. They came with buggy as soon as I dial for them and also assisted us to purchase the tickets for the show. Photography: I enjoyed the Tang Dynasty themed travel photography and I find that both make-up artist (Ms Dian Dian) and photographer (Mr Wang Jie) are very professional and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. This photography is conducted by a third-party vendor that is stationed in the hotel. We went to the Hua Qing Palace for the photography. It is a convenient location to take photo with beautiful backgrounds. A day after the photo taking, we went online to choose the photos that I wanted to keep. Customer Service Ms Liang Yanping conducted a live session via a link in wechat, somewhat similar to zoom meeting to showcase all the photos that were taken. The complimentary digital photos given by the hotel are for 3 high quality digital photos and if one wants more than 3 pictures, there will be an extra charge for the purchase. Food: The restaurant is located in another building which is about 8minute walk away. Alternatively, we can call the buggy to send us there and back. The food is really yummy and I must say the Chang-an Roasted Whole Chicken is a must try. Also.... the desserts are so good too. With a love for sweet food, I tried the almond lotus paste and also the lychee and redberry cold dessert. They are both gooooood... Show: At night, there is a large-scale live-action historical dance drama “The Song of Everlasting Sorrow” that is created by Shaanxi Tourism Group Company. The theme of this dance drama is the love story between Emperor Xuanzong and Consort Yang. This is a must see as the performance is top notch. Separate tickets must be purchased for the show. Summary: For those who want to be in a historical site that offers a hot spa right in your bedroom, this is an ideal place to stay. We really enjoyed our stay here and will not hesitate to recommend it to anyone who are visiting Xi-an and to use this as a last stop in Xi-an before heading to your next destination.

Extremely convenient for catching a flight, and incredible value for money. The room was spacious and clean, the mattress and pillows were super comfortable, and the breakfast was also quite good, though the food pickup and seating areas were a bit far apart. A big thank you to the lovely lady who gave us a free room upgrade! And the coffee was delicious.

This hotel is the pinnacle of luxury for a trip to Xi'an! The Scenic Terrace Room at the Yongning Gate雅致酒店 (Yazhi Hotel) was absolutely amazing. The location is simply divine, right next to the Yongning Gate city wall, and within walking distance of the Bell and Drum Towers and the Muslim Quarter. The subway station is just a few minutes away, making it incredibly convenient for exploring and dining. The Scenic Terrace Room we booked was an exceptional experience. The room was spacious and airy, with a light luxury Tang Dynasty-inspired design that created a wonderful atmosphere. The private terrace offered a direct view of the Yongning Gate archery tower – imagine soaking in the ancient charm of the city wall by day, and enjoying the dazzling illuminated Chang'an nightscape by night. Every photo we took looked like a stunning historical drama scene. The entire room featured smart voice control, and the Mousse mattress was incredibly soft and comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The bathroom was clean and tidy with a separate wet and dry area, truly showcasing attention to detail and quality. Anna at the front desk provided exceptional and thoughtful service. We received a delightful afternoon tea upon check-in, and even free late-night snacks. The staff were all enthusiastic and professional, making us feel completely at home.

Staying at a hotel near the Bell Tower in Xi'an was incredibly convenient for getting around. I could easily walk to the Muslim Quarter and the City Wall. The room was clean and comfortable, and I had an amazing view of the Bell Tower at night, which was absolutely stunning. The front desk staff were really friendly and even gave great recommendations for local food. Breakfast included Roujiamo and Hurat汤 (Spicy Soup), which were authentic and filling. Although parking was a bit of a hassle, the overall value for money was excellent. It’s definitely an ideal base to experience the charm of this ancient capital.

Had a fantastic stay here! I was traveling solo and booked a more affordable windowless double room. However, the ventilation system was always on, so it never felt stuffy at all. For a traveler who's out exploring all day and just needs to crash at night, it was incredibly good value for money. The room itself was very spacious, about 20-30 square meters. Every area was clean and tidy, and the hairdryer and water heater worked perfectly. What's more, I noticed the hotel provides two types of pillows – a soft cotton one and another slightly firmer one with something like buckwheat inside. You can really tell the hotel puts thought into their guests' comfort. Also, the front desk staff were incredibly responsible and attentive. They made sure to note down every guest request. When I went out, I told them my luggage was on the sofa and asked them not to move it when cleaning the room. They actually wrote it down in their notebook – truly an excellent hotel. The location is also great. It's just a few hundred meters from the subway station, and Zhang Xueliang's Residence is a mere five-minute walk away. So, I was basically neighbors with the Young Marshal for a couple of days, haha!

The location is excellent, with a view of Yongning Gate right outside the window, making it very convenient to access the city wall. Transportation is also very convenient; it's near a Line 2 subway station, just one stop from the Bell Tower, and it's easy to take the subway to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and Furong Garden. The hygiene was clean and tidy, and the stay was quite pleasant! The auntie (staff member) was also very thoughtful, and the service was very satisfying. I originally booked for 2 nights but extended my stay for another day.

LLandaorenI hadn't stayed at Sofitel Legend before, but I had twice stayed at the Sofitel and Mercure hotels next door (Mercure has since closed down). However, I've always had an irresistible attraction to hotels with a rich history, especially those converted from former high-level government guesthouses (let's call them 'old money hotels'). While planning where to go for the 2026 Chinese New Year, a short video platform surprisingly pushed this hotel that had always intrigued me. I checked the prices, and compared to other five-star hotels in Xi'an, it was significantly cheaper, so I booked a New Year's Eve stay. Upon arrival, the doorman promptly opened the car door and helped with our luggage, which goes without saying (though, to be fair, many five-star hotel doormen nowadays lack such proactiveness). The front desk staff efficiently and smoothly handled the check-in process, offering a choice of champagne, coffee, or black tea as a welcome drink. While resting in the lounge area, I happened to see a few young women taking photos in the hotel's coffee corner, adding a lively touch to the atmosphere. The attendant escorted us to our room, briefly introducing the hotel's history. Built in the 1950s, it served as a provincial guesthouse, combining Soviet, French, and traditional Chinese architectural styles. The complimentary bottled water was also in Tetra Pak packaging, reflecting the hotel's commitment to green practices. During our stay, the restaurant's host remembered our preferences by the second day. The 'shui盆牛肉' (beef soup) with 'baiji mo' (flatbread) was incredibly fragrant and chewy; I almost wanted to pack some to take home. The butler service was also impeccable, with turn-down service promptly at 7 PM every evening. The local specialty drink, 'Bingfeng' soda, was a delightful taste sensation. On the morning of the first day of Chinese New Year, the hotel arranged a lion dance performance – I never expected to see a Southern Lion dance team in Xi'an. Although the hotel only has 71 guest rooms, excluding the few business presidential suites that are rarely occupied by ordinary guests, there are about 60 rooms. Based on my observations during our 4-day, 3-night stay over Chinese New Year, there were probably only 8-9 other occupied rooms, so the overall occupancy rate wasn't high. Perhaps most people don't choose this place, as its exterior appears very understated and discreet. However, I highly recommend it, especially when traveling with elderly family members. The location is super convenient for getting around, just a 10-minute walk from Wulukou Station on Metro Line 1 (right next to Minleyuan and Wanda Plaza). I'd love to stay here again next time I visit Xi'an, haha! 😄

GGuest UserStaying at this hotel again after half a year, the overall experience was significantly better than last time! It's clear the hotel truly takes guest feedback to heart. This stay completely exceeded my expectations, and I genuinely recommend it! The in-room supplies were replenished promptly; besides the daily drinking water, tea bags and disposables were proactively restocked every day. The attention to detail is excellent. The late-night desserts were still a thoughtful touch and varied daily. Even if we occasionally forgot to book in advance, the front desk would try their best to arrange it, showing great flexibility in their service. Breakfast maintained its high standard, with delicious food and rotating menu items daily. I even got to enjoy the savory 'saap zi mian' noodles I'd been craving! The other dish options were also quite diverse. What satisfied me most was the service and arrangements this time. Communication was smooth and responses were quick throughout our stay. Since we were traveling with friends who booked their rooms separately, the hotel proactively placed our rooms on the same floor, making it incredibly convenient for us to come and go and look after each other, saving us a lot of back-and-forth hassle. The minor issues I'd mentioned previously were completely gone this time. Anything we needed was delivered precisely to the correct room without needing repeated communication. The staff were warm and attentive, always thinking on behalf of the guests, which made us feel very at ease. The hotel's location is also very convenient, and their airport transfer service makes things incredibly easy and stress-free. The environment is quiet, not noisy, and the bedding is very comfortable. Although there aren't many large shopping centers nearby, the hotel's own facilities are sufficient. The overall comfort, convenience, and service are all top-notch, fully deserving of its star rating. Next time I'm in Xi'an, this will still be my first choice. The overall experience was perfect, and I genuinely recommend it to friends who value convenience, comfort, and excellent service!

GGuest UserThis was my first stay at an Ibis hotel, and what impressed me most was how clean and tidy everything was. Although the bathroom was a bit small, it was spotless. The room didn't have a shower cap, but you could pick one up at the front desk. The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and I slept really well. Hot water came quickly. The shower head and breakfast weren't particularly great, but the overall cleanliness and tidiness more than made up for these minor shortcomings. The front desk staff were also very enthusiastic and friendly, even giving out small gifts.

NNata-Just a wonderful place — one of those moments when the online description perfectly matches reality. ✨ For work and otherwise, I’ve often stayed in various hotels across China, so I have something to compare it to. What matters to me: a comfortable mattress — neither too firm nor too soft — an orthopedic pillow, cleanliness, an openable window, a quiet room, a mosquito net, and a laundry room in the hotel. The rest are nice bonuses: a deep bathtub, the ability to brew tea right in the room, and drinks and snacks included. Afternoon tea, an evening snack, and breakfast in the room — very pleasant service. 🙌🏻 The interior is elegant, reminiscent of a good spa — blackout curtains, tall doors, minimalism… calm and cozy. The location is in the city center, about a 15‑minute walk from the Muslim Quarter, the Drum Tower, and the Bell Tower. The hotel manager, Ms. Wang Fang, was especially kind — she is very knowledgeable about history and culture and a delightful conversationalist. Now is a great time of year to visit Xi’an. By the way, in central China, only Chinese‑style sockets are often available, so keep that in mind.

GGuest UserBecause I booked for my friend, I booked three standard rooms, and then I went to their hotel in advance to inquire whether there was a deposit or something like that, and then the front desk staff was very enthusiastic, left me a WeChat, and the service was very good. The hotel is very conveniently located, very close to Ganjiazhai and Keji Road subway entrances, the environment is very good, and the sanitation is also very clean. The main thing about their hotel is that the location is very good, the service is very good, the facilities and equipment are very good, including afternoon tea, which can be used at the entrance of the lobby on the first floor, which is also very convenient and has plenty of time. It is also convenient to have breakfast and supper in the restaurant, and there are many tourist attractions nearby. The location is also good, and there is free parking at the door,

JJ4ckyService: 10/10 What an amazing stay here at the Intercontinental, stayed here for 4 nights in the Deluxe King room. Arrived and checked in late at 12AM, the staff were pleasant and respectful, quick and got me settled in. The staff were very attentive and service just impeccable - consistent in greetings at each turn and always double even triple checking if you require and help. Room: 8/10 The rooms are clean, and cleaned on a daily. The cleaning lady was incredibly attentive, on the first night I asked for more water as the room only came with two, consistently day after day they left 4 bottles for me which was really appreciated on my part - it’s a minor thing but it really elevates the experience. Room is quiet, can’t hear a thing from the opposite rooms. Occasionally there are some sounds from the door but it’s really unnoticeable. Shower; the only reason why i didn’t give it full marks. Maybe it’s personal preference but the water does not seem to get hot enough, the water pressure on the shower head seems a bit lacking. Nevertheless though, don’t let that deter you from booking as it’s still an overall great stay. Tub; no complaints, water runs hot, what better way to relax and kick back after a day of being a tourist and walking 20k. Location: 10/10 I think this one is completely subjective to personal preference. The location is in the midst of white collar working towers so there is quite a bit of traffic. There is a subway station close by as well -though I never used it as I took a Didi 100% of the time. A mall is nearby within walking distance but again didn’t go. Most commutes by didi take 20-30 minutes due to the traffic but honestly looking at the Westin or other hotels in prime tourist locations (ex. Pagoda , bell tower etc) there is sooo much traffic and noise as they have so many different activities happening there. For me this location have me back some silence after a long day out. Atmosphere: 10/10 The hotel is beautifully decorated, cleaned throughout. Jo Malone fragrances in every elevator. It was such a relaxing atmosphere to be in. Breakfast: 10/10 If you can, give the breakfast a try. There’s a huge variety of Xi’an delectables you can try, from the roujiamo, liangpi etc that are available plus a mixture of western food. The staff I must commend once more are incredibly attentive and always try to make your experience better. Final thoughts - highly recommend the intercontinental Xi’an for your next stay. I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it for those coming for a 5 star experience!
