We loved our stay especially for the price. This place is what we call a hostelle. It has all the hostel vibes but is immaculate like a hotel. Room was clean and fresh towels every day. Free water throughout, good wifi, great shower and toiletries. Movies on the tv in English, social atmosphere and a great location. And an added bonus free access to laundry and dryer! Lots of local food just outside and a metro 5 min walk. Only down side for us was the mattress was to hard but that is personal preference.

I'm so glad I started my Xi'an trip here. It really hit all the right spots, to the point where I seriously considered extending my stay for another day… but in the end, I decided to experience other hotels as well.
[Location] It's right by Yongning Gate, next to the city wall, perfectly avoiding the city's traffic jams, which is super convenient for those who rely on taxis for getting around. There's also a subway station nearby. Plus, there are tons of delivery options and amazing places to eat, from breakfast to dinner, snacks, bubble tea, BBQ, and late-night eats – you could literally spend all day just eating! It's also a pleasant walk to the Bell Tower.
[View] Pull back the curtains and there's the city wall. Whether it's the grandeur of the day or the dazzling lights at night, I could never get enough of it.
[Service] The service was absolutely fantastic! It's been a long time since I've experienced such heartwarming service. Every staff member was so enthusiastic and friendly, from the front desk ladies to the aunties in the restaurant. Everyone served with a smile and went out of their way to provide help within their means.
[Environment] (1) The decor, design, and murals really resonated with everyone; there are so many photo opportunities within the hotel itself. (2) Even if you don't have a city wall view room, the outdoor bar offers a spectacular view of the city wall. Sitting there watching the sunset, scrolling on your phone, and enjoying afternoon tea – it's incredibly cozy. (3) The small table in the triple room was perfect for ordering takeout with friends, happily eating and chatting, with Xi'an's city wall right outside the window. After a full meal, you can just lean back and feel completely content without even stepping out. However, if you're a workaholic and need to work overtime, the restaurant might be a more convenient spot. (4) The beds, pillows, and bath products were all very well-received.
[Facilities] The pillows, bedding, and toiletries were all highly praised.
[Activities] They offer airport pick-up and drop-off, a rubbings activity, free Hanfu rental, and there are many foreign guests as well.
[Heads-up] For city wall view rooms facing the road, because they primarily feature glass curtain walls and windows, you might hear the sound of motorcycles with loud exhausts. However, since it's not continuous, it didn't affect our sleep. But it could be a concern for those who are sensitive to noise or are very light sleepers. BUT! The front desk thoughtfully provides earplugs!
[Other] When I checked in, it felt like there weren't many guests. Perhaps it's because the price is relatively higher? Or maybe there are too many hotels in the vicinity, leading to intense competition and diverting some guests. However, with the amazing view + cultural experience + airport transfer + excellent service + great location + wonderful ambiance, I feel like it's hard to beat.

The hotel's location is super convenient, and it's spotlessly clean. The staff are really enthusiastic, and housekeeping does a great job. The hotel's travel consultant was also incredibly helpful. We actually switched rooms a few times just to stay at this hotel, but it was definitely worth it!

This hotel is perfectly located! Just a 10-minute walk downstairs to the Muslim Quarter and the Bell Tower, so it's super close to all the attractions. What really stood out was how spacious the room was and the excellent facilities. The gym and laundry room were also very convenient and useful. For the price, this place is incredible value for money. I highly recommend staying here!

My stay at the麗怡酒店 (Regal Hotel) in Xi'an was absolutely fantastic! The hotel's location is superb, right next to the subway station, and just a few minutes' walk to popular attractions like the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and Datang Everbright City, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing. The bathroom, with its wet and dry separation and high-end toiletries, really highlighted the attention to quality details. The biggest surprise was breakfast – the authentic Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger) paired with Hutang (spicy soup) instantly awakened my taste buds, giving me a true taste of Xi'an. The hotel's service was also incredibly thoughtful and attentive, seamlessly blending historical charm with modern comfort. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this place is an ideal choice. Highly recommended!

A little bit dated hotel with very good location. Some steps from Muslim quarter. Good breakfast with good options for europeans travelers. Free afternoon tee with good selection of fruits, cookies and snacks. Reasonable prices of room service food for dinner.. Clean room, specious and comfortable, but not smart amenities. We had some troubles with the tour guide they recommended to transfer us to The Terra-cotta army museum. They tried to lied us but finally the hotel resolved the problem.

The front desk staff at this hotel were incredibly helpful and friendly. When I checked in for the first time, I was worried about finding my room, but they kindly escorted me directly to my door. At checkout, they even gave me a small gift. The hotel's cleanliness was also excellent, with a tidy room. Its location is fantastic, right by Yongningmen (South Gate) and just a two or three-minute walk from the Yongningmen metro station, making it super convenient to get anywhere. They also allow food delivery straight to your room. This hotel offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Xi'an.
A truly perfect stay! The hotel was clean and tidy, with comfortable, spacious, and odor-free rooms. The smart lighting control was excellent, offering four settings from 0% to 100%. The toiletries were high quality. I'll definitely be back!

Choosing this hotel for our Xi'an trip was an absolute stroke of genius!
The location is fantastic, right near Xi'an Station. You can walk there from the station, which is a huge bonus for anyone traveling with luggage. It's also super convenient for getting to the City Wall and the Bell and Drum Towers, so transportation was completely stress-free.
The room was much more spacious than I expected. The overall style is a calm, traditional Chinese aesthetic, and the wooden floors and plush bed immediately made me feel relaxed. The bedding was clean and comfortable – perfect for unwinding after a long journey. The room had everything we needed: a desk, a sofa, and even a small minibar. The view from the window was great too, offering glimpses of the old city architecture, which really added to the atmosphere!
The attention to detail was also a big plus. Complimentary bottled water, a tea set, and an electric kettle were all provided. The cleanliness was impeccable, making our stay very reassuring. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Xi'an, and I highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip there!

My overall experience at Yuan Tuo Hotel was quite good. The hotel is conveniently located, making it easy to find places to eat and get around. The room design is simple and comfortable, and it was kept very clean. The bed was really comfortable, and the soundproofing was better than I expected, allowing me to get a good night's sleep.
The staff were friendly, and both check-in and check-out went smoothly. The hotel itself feels new and clean, and the common areas are well-maintained.
If I had to mention a minor drawback, some facilities could use a bit of improvement, but overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for tourists or short stays. I'd consider staying here again if I have the chance.

GGuest UserI'm only getting around to writing this review now, after a trip before Chinese New Year, because the experience was truly memorable and worth savoring. The hotel's location is excellent; it's not far from attractions like the Bell Tower, Drum Tower, and Forest of Steles. On a good day, you can walk to them, or if you're feeling lazy, a taxi ride is quick. Getting to the Grand Tang Everbright City and Furong Garden is also smooth, whether by metro or taxi. The hotel's surroundings are very quiet, and once you enter the grounds, it feels like a private garden. Even in winter, you can see greenery all around, so I can only imagine how beautiful it must be during the other three seasons. What left the deepest impression was a young man from the hotel's concierge team. After my child and I finished our meal, we wanted to stroll around the courtyard. He proactively approached us, asking if we had eaten and where we planned to go. We told him we weren't going far, just exploring the courtyard. He enthusiastically informed us that there was an olive tree in the backyard personally planted by Premier Zhou, suggesting we look for it. We were pleasantly surprised and immediately decided to seek out this piece of history. Early on February 11th, we had booked a trip to the Terracotta Warriors. Since it was quite a distance, we rushed to the restaurant for breakfast right when it opened. As the elevator doors opened downstairs, it was the same familiar young man, greeting us with a cheerful 'Good morning!'... Throughout our stay, we encountered this diligent and hospitable staff member many times as we came and went. Even my child would proactively say hello to him, as if he were a familiar family member! The feeling of being welcomed like family truly slowly permeates and influences those around you. It's a shame he wasn't on duty the day we checked out, so we couldn't say goodbye in person. I have a small suggestion for the hotel's guest rooms: it would be best to provide plastic non-slip mats in the shower. The lack of non-slip slippers, with only cotton bathmats available, isn't enough to prevent slips in the shower. Moreover, showering barefoot isn't comfortable for most Chinese people, especially women and children. Sometimes, a non-slip item is much more practical than just a warning!
DDixichuanyiI booked this hotel because it was ranked number one, and having stayed in many star-rated hotels before, I can objectively say that for its price point, the overall experience was excellent. They offer free airport shuttle service, and the breakfast variety is quite good for a hotel in this price range. Most importantly, they provide complimentary laundry service daily, which is incredibly convenient for tourists staying multiple nights. The room was spacious and very quiet; I barely heard any noise from the hallway or neighboring rooms. Plus, there's free cocktails and coffee. I felt all my fatigue melt away as soon as I arrived, ready to dive into my trip. There was a small hiccup during checkout, but it was handled very promptly and efficiently. Overall, it's definitely worth it.
AAnonymous UserThe location is super convenient! It's an easy walk to the Bell Tower and Xi'an Museum. For places like Datang Everbright City, Shaanxi History Museum, and Sajinqiao, a taxi ride is quick and simple. There are also plenty of shopping areas nearby, plus famous local eateries like Weijia Liangpi and Chahualong. We had a great time! The room itself was generally good, though the bathroom was a bit small. We stayed in two rooms for four nights but didn't get complimentary breakfast, which was a bit of a shame. The family room faced the street, so it was a little noisy. The Qin Sheng Zhai downstairs had some delicious food.
SSino NgA perfect experience beyond comparison! MEILIE Ling B&B (Bell Tower & Muslim Quarter Branch) was the biggest surprise of my trip to Xi’an, and it made me fall head over heels for this city. My housekeepers Cindy and Kevin responded promptly and efficiently. The entire team delivered warm, thoughtful service and took great care of us throughout our stay, delivering an outstanding experience. The property boasts luxurious and elegant decor with impeccable design taste; every detail of the furnishings and facilities is exquisitely crafted. The bed linens offer exceptional comfort for a great night’s sleep. The bathroom is equipped with premium Le Labo toiletries, a Dyson hair dryer, and a classic Marshall speaker — a full lineup of high-end branded amenities that speak for themselves in quality. The daily breakfast and late-night snacks are made with quality ingredients and taste fantastic, warming both body and heart. I rarely eat meals provided by accommodation venues normally, yet I ended up enjoying full portions every single day here. The staff went all out to fulfill every request efficiently, with sincere and reliable service. We also received a lovely souvenir gift upon check-out, bringing one delightful surprise after another. This stay far exceeded all my expectations, hitting the ceiling in both value for money and overall experience. I highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Xi’an!
TTinaMThis is a lovely hotel with kind, welcoming staff. I read some reviews saying the rooms are very old etc, but I don't see how that makes this hotel any less great - the rooms are still clean and well maintained. I arrived in Xi'an after 48 hours of hectic traveling due to a missed train, and the staff at Meihao Hotel were very welcoming, were happy to use translation apps to communicate with me. The room was large, with a view of the neighbourhood outside (mostly just traffic jams haha, but that's Xi'an). The location may not be super ideal for some as it isn't in the city centre, but honestly it was no inconvenience at all, as the nearest subway station is a brisk walk away -- about 5-7 minutes. If you're arriving by train and carrying a lot of heavy luggage, then yes, coming via subway might be a bit of a challenge (but not impossible!)
The housekeeping staff especially were very warm and kind. Thank you for always brightening my day when I walked by you all.
A few hours after I checked in, a lovely staff member knocked on my door and offered me a small bowl of soup. I was very confused as I hadn't ordered anything, but upon seeing other guests were receiving this too, I gladly accepted. It was such an unexpected, kind gesture -- this hotel truly knows how to make one feel welcome.
I fell ill on the second day of my stay, and thankfully the room was so comfortable, I could recuperate well. My only complaint is that the bedsheets, comforter, pillowcases etc -- all the bedding essentially smells of cigarette smoke. I could also smell cigarette smoke from beyond my room's door at night. This was despite there being a clear sign in the room saying smoking was not allowed inside. Though this is certainly not something you can fault hotel staff for (if guests are adamant to smoke inside, what can housekeeping possibly do?), I just thought I would mention this for any other guests who might be very sensitive to the smell, perhaps you could request staff to rewash the bedding until the smoke smell is entirely gone.
After checking out, I also noticed there were some freebies that were part of my booking that I unfortunately missed out on :( There was meant to be welcome fruit, afternoon tea for two and a midnight snack, which I would have loved to try. There was no welcome fruit offered, but I did receive some refreshing juice when I arrived to check in -- it was a hot day and I was grateful for the welcome drink. For the other stuff, as I didn't realise it was part of the booking perks, I never asked, and consequently seem to have missed out.
I also want to say that aside from the rooms, the lobby area is quite lovely -- very tastefully decorated, peaceful, and I even saw they had some free coffee out for guests! I only noticed this when I was checking out though, and my taxi was already on the way to pick me up, so I could not indulge. Maybe it would be helpful if the reception staff could share all this info with guests when they check in, especially with the foreign guests who are already a bit confused and trying to get their bearings ^-^ Just a suggestion! Thank you for a nice stay. I will definitely be back again soon.
GGuest UserOur group had a wonderful six-night stay at the Huaqing Imperial Hot Spring Hotel, and we were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience. Before checking in, we inquired about various hotel services, and the reservation staff were incredibly patient and helpful. Throughout our stay, every staff member we encountered, no matter their role, was exceptionally warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. As hotel guests, we enjoyed complimentary access to the Huaqing Palace scenic area and the hot springs. We booked a room with a private hot tub, which was disinfected daily by staff and refilled with fresh water every evening – it was so relaxing to soak in after a day of sightseeing! The hotel also helped us purchase tickets for the 'Song of Everlasting Sorrow' performance, and our seats were excellent. A dedicated staff member guided us to our seats before the show and picked us up afterward. The outdoor hot spring experience was also fantastic; perhaps because it wasn't peak season, it wasn't crowded. Like the private tubs, there were complimentary drinks and fruits. The hotel breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. If you're visiting Huaqing Palace and the Terracotta Army, I highly recommend staying at this hotel!

GGuest UserThe room was clean and tidy, and the breakfast selection was quite good with fresh ingredients. The front desk staff were all very welcoming, and the security guard always held the elevator door for us when we entered the building, which made us feel right at home.
GGuest UserMy stay was absolutely fantastic! The room had plenty of natural light and was spotlessly clean. All the facilities were great too. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the hotel's location was super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. The soundproofing in the room was excellent, so I had a really peaceful night's sleep. Overall, it offered great value for money.
MM548724****The hotel facilities are good and it's clean. The bed is really soft and comfortable. The cleanliness is quite satisfactory; there are no stains on the bedding, and the floors are clean. The hotel is conveniently located near Keji Road subway station, making transportation quite easy. They also offer complimentary afternoon tea with black tea and parking vouchers.

What an amazing stay here at the Intercontinental, stayed here for 4 nights in the Deluxe King room.
Arrived and checked in late at 12AM, the staff were pleasant and respectful, quick and got me settled in.
The staff were very attentive and service just impeccable - consistent in greetings at each turn and always double even triple checking if you require and help.
Room: 8/10
The rooms are clean, and cleaned on a daily. The cleaning lady was incredibly attentive, on the first night I asked for more water as the room only came with two, consistently day after day they left 4 bottles for me which was really appreciated on my part - it’s a minor thing but it really elevates the experience.
Room is quiet, can’t hear a thing from the opposite rooms. Occasionally there are some sounds from the door but it’s really unnoticeable.
Shower; the only reason why i didn’t give it full marks. Maybe it’s personal preference but the water does not seem to get hot enough, the water pressure on the shower head seems a bit lacking. Nevertheless though, don’t let that deter you from booking as it’s still an overall great stay.
Tub; no complaints, water runs hot, what better way to relax and kick back after a day of being a tourist and walking 20k.
Location: 10/10
I think this one is completely subjective to personal preference. The location is in the midst of white collar working towers so there is quite a bit of traffic. There is a subway station close by as well -though I never used it as I took a Didi 100% of the time.
A mall is nearby within walking distance but again didn’t go. Most commutes by didi take 20-30 minutes due to the traffic but honestly looking at the Westin or other hotels in prime tourist locations (ex. Pagoda , bell tower etc) there is sooo much traffic and noise as they have so many different activities happening there. For me this location have me back some silence after a long day out.
Atmosphere: 10/10
The hotel is beautifully decorated, cleaned throughout. Jo Malone fragrances in every elevator. It was such a relaxing atmosphere to be in.
Breakfast: 10/10
If you can, give the breakfast a try. There’s a huge variety of Xi’an delectables you can try, from the roujiamo, liangpi etc that are available plus a mixture of western food. The staff I must commend once more are incredibly attentive and always try to make your experience better.
Final thoughts - highly recommend the intercontinental Xi’an for your next stay. I truly enjoyed it and would recommend it for those coming for a 5 star experience!
