Since December 2023, France has enjoyed a unilateral visa exemption, which has now been extended until 31 December 2026.

- Coverage: throughout China, with no geographical restrictions;
- Required documents: a valid passport only (no onward ticket required);

Option 2: 240-hour transit exemption (for long layovers)
For travellers on international connections, China offers a 10-day transit exemption.

- Departing within the next 240 hours;
- Have your arrival/departure card filled in;
