This is an older, riverside hotel with great value for money. The rooms are spacious and clean, and the river view is lovely. The bathroom is a bit dated, and the bathtub is quite old with low water pressure. However, it boasts a large swimming pool and a grand lobby. On the first day, we received a welcome drink, and the breakfast was abundant. Every hour, a hotel boat departs for the Central Pier. From the Central Pier, you can take a paid boat to ICONSIAM or a free boat to Asiatique, where you can see the giant Ferris wheel, all within a ten-minute walk back to the hotel. Talk about a 'Lost in Thailand' real-life scenario! My flight was delayed, so I didn't get to the hotel until after 1 AM. All I wanted was to shower and sleep, but first, my key card wouldn't work, and I couldn't get the elevator to go up. A staff member used her master key to take me to the room. Once we got there, it was pitch black. She hadn't brought a key card to activate the power. I tried to explain in English, but she must not have understood. So, she went back down to get a key card, leaving my child and me in a dark, hot, and exhausting room. Finally, with the power on, I thought I could shower and sleep. But then I noticed the 'disposable' slippers looked like they'd been used for a month – they were pilled and even had hair inside. On top of that, the lighting was strange; the room's decor was very dark. The bed was incredibly hard, and the curtains didn't close properly, letting light in. The bed faced east, which felt odd. The air conditioning was deafeningly loud, like the outdoor unit was inside the room. Even on the lowest setting, it was booming. I didn't sleep a wink. It was too noisy with the AC on and too hot with it off, so I ended up turning it on and off six or seven times throughout the night. The next day, I switched rooms, and it was much better, though the AC was still quite loud. Luckily, it wasn't too hot with it off, so I just left it off. The hotel's location is good; it's a ten-minute walk to Central Department Store, which is great for shopping and dining. There's also a big mall five minutes away, and several 7-Elevens right across from the hotel. The pool is small and didn't look very clean, probably because it's older. The service, however, was quite good. The staff always had smiles, and the bellhops proactively helped with luggage, with a dedicated staff member opening doors. Overall, the first night was a bad experience, but after changing rooms, I was quite satisfied. The hotel even did turn-down service and changed towels on the second night, which was a nice touch. I really hope they provide new disposable slippers for every guest; otherwise, I'm worried about hygiene, especially with foot infections. The room's ceiling was a bit low, and the interior was quite basic. The bedding wasn't very comfortable (old linens, soft pillows), and there were signs of wear and tear. Ventilation was poor, making clothes prone to smelling after washing.
Breakfast was discounted for guests, and the price was the same for adults and children, offering good overall value for money.
The pool was quite large, but the service and facilities were rudimentary. In the changing rooms, two sets of staff came in to change towels and empty bins while I was showering, completely disregarding guests wrapped in towels and trying to hide in a corner as they came and went multiple times.
The hotel's most outstanding feature is the lobby, with its modern minimalist style and Japanese garden water feature, surpassing the public areas of most Pullmans. It's about a 10-minute walk to the BTS stations in front and behind. There's a food court on the upper floor of the duty-free shop next door, and if you walk through King Power to the back street, you'll find coffee shops and 7-Eleven. I had previously visited this hotel on an excursion from Pattaya. Now, traveling with my daughter to Koh Samet via Bangkok, we didn't hesitate to book this hotel again. I wanted to show my daughter the revolving observation deck on the 84th floor, the museum, and the large, diverse dinner buffet. We stayed on the 28th floor. The staff was welcoming, and the hotel's floor layout is well-planned. The reception is on the 18th floor. We were greeted immediately upon arrival, our luggage was taken care of, and we were escorted to reception. We were checked in a bit early, at 1 PM, and led to our room. The door opened and… I was surprised. The exterior impression didn't match the interior. The room was spacious, but had low ceilings, old and worn-out furniture. It was a corner room and very dark, with only one small, narrow window (very dirty) and unwashed curtains, overlooking a neighboring hotel wall. You could barely catch a glimpse of the city (we had booked a non-corner room with a city view). The large room had only two small lights, perhaps to hide the room's surprises. The entire room had carpet (which also seemed ancient). The bed linen and towels were clean but visibly old and worn from countless washes; the duvet cover even had pilling, and the towels were far from white – they really should have been replaced. The carpet also extended throughout the hotel corridors, which I believe contributed to the musty smell in both the room and corridors, a smell even the air fresheners (sprayers located everywhere – in corridors and lifts) couldn't mask. During housekeeping, the maid constantly turned on the air conditioning in our room. Initially, we didn't understand why. We went to reception to return a misplaced card (thinking the maid had left it during cleaning), and they told us to leave it on so the air conditioner would run. Then the picture became clear: if you turned off the air conditioning, an unpleasant smell filled the room, and even the sewage smell from the toilet carried through the ventilation. Strangely, there's no ventilation in the toilet, so we had to leave the door open when we left the room and keep the air conditioning on 16°C. This hotel is in dire need of renovation! The room's price doesn't reflect its condition. The hotel has a sports area with mini-golf and a small swimming pool (also from the same outdated facilities). There's also a floor with a spa and fitness center. On the 18th floor, there's a small shop and a few cafes. The food at the hotel, both breakfast and dinner, was excellent. You can dine on the balcony (with glass railings) on the 81st floor – the view is superb. This is the only thing that makes up for the hotel's aging facilities. There's a free transfer to the airport metro line – which is great! I recommend staying on the upper floors for a magnificent view! I only recommend this hotel for short stays.FromSAR 197

Came here for our anniversary trip, and at this price, it was truly a steal. The service is five-star, but the facilities are four-star at best.
First, the pros:
1) Excellent service. They upgraded our room knowing it was our anniversary and even sent us dessert.
2) Housekeeping was very prompt, even cleaning twice. The first time was for general tidiness, and the second was for detailed touches (like laying out absorbent mats, etc.). My cosmetics were also neatly organized.
3) The room was very spacious, with comfortable bedding and a sofa.
4) They provided aromatherapy candles and other amenities, and someone even knocked on our door every evening to deliver facial mist.
5) High floor with great views.
Now, the cons:
1) Currently undergoing extensive renovation, so the public areas are very small. The hotel lobby entrance requires going through a narrow, cardboard-partitioned corridor, which looks undignified.
2) Due to the renovation, check-in was on the 19th floor, and the waiting time was extremely long. It was the longest I've ever waited to check in. Every time we returned to our room, we had to go to the 19th floor to switch elevators to the guest room area.
3) A bit far from the subway station. Although there's a shuttle service, it's hourly and requires advance booking, so we didn't end up using it.
4) The in-room facilities are indeed old. The showerhead was difficult to use, with low water pressure and couldn't be fixed in place.
5) The TV placement was puzzling, but we didn't watch it anyway.

Amari Pattaya boasts an excellent location, conveniently close to Terminal 21 shopping mall. The facilities are comprehensive and clean. The swimming pool is thoughtfully divided into a kids' area, a splash zone, and an adult section, catering to all ages. Next to the pool, there's also a kids' playroom with staff on duty to supervise children for extended periods.
Since our stay was during peak season, there were many guests, so we had to queue for breakfast during busy times. Even with the wait, the staff managed the arrangements very efficiently, and the waiting time wasn't too long.
Additionally, the hotel features Prego, an Italian restaurant specializing in pasta, where children can sign up for a fun pizza-making activity.

This is a repeated stayed and I stayed for 8 nights. The room price is good value that why I chose here. Staffs are polite n helpful. Room is spacious and clean. Car parking service is available if you drive. The hotel provide shuttle service from 8am to 8pm at every 30 minutes to bts station or you can walk 7 minutes to station if your miss it. Nearby has a famous mango sticky rice shop you should try it at sukhumvit soi 53. There is another one called Ning’s Mango stand @Food Street Soi 38 which is opp the famous mango shop. The beds in the room felt smaller than 1.3 meters, more like 1.1 meters. But that's just my feeling as a woman, which might not be accurate. When we booked, we requested two standard rooms with 1.3-meter beds, but upon arrival, we only got one king room and one standard room. This meant I had to sleep in the king room with my two children, which was very uncomfortable. Luckily, they switched us to a standard room the next day. The breakfast was decent, and the location is great. There's Chulalongkorn Night Market nearby for browsing, and plenty of massage parlors. This area is always hustle and traffic jam. So if you like to book grab, it's difficult and wait long time.

This is my fourth time staying at Avani Sukhumvit Bangkok Hotel. It happened to be my birthday, and the hotel surprised me with decorations and a birthday cake, which was a lovely touch. The location is undeniably excellent, with direct access to the shopping mall and BTS, making it incredibly convenient. Prior to check-in, I requested a quiet room, but I was given a room facing the BTS and the main road. The constant noise from cars and the subway made it difficult to sleep every night, which was very unpleasant. Furthermore, the facilities are showing their age. The holder for the fixed shower gel kept falling off repeatedly, and the hairdryer was cracked and had been poorly repaired with super glue. The room is big, price is reasonable, staffs are friendly! However, the room has only few sockets available (one socket near the pantry got fire flame when plug), and when original iphone adaptor plug in socket at the table, the socket beside is unable to use cuz iphone adaptor is too wide. Besdes, even with two room cards, the electricity in the room will shut off as if you leave a card there and went out, the door will have ‘didididi’ alert sound until you pull out the other card. I ended up putting my power banks and portable fan at lobby front desk for charging when I’m out of the room. The staffs was friendly! Location is perfect for girls who are here to buy clothes and ear from pratunam market. However, if you’re trip is mainly for shopping malls, big C, cosmetic, there is around 10-15 mins walk and you may ended up carrying heavy bags brought from those shopping malls. When we took grab to the airport, the staff who helped us with the luggage also helped us with communicating with the driver. Overall, this hotel is awesome to me!

Our family stayed at Terminal 21 Hotel Bangkok and had a pleasant experience. Connected directly to the shopping mall, the hotel is close to BTS Asok and MRT stations, offering excellent transport links to all tourist spots. The rooms are tidy and spacious enough for a family.
One downside is the lack of self-service laundry facilities. We had lots of travel clothes and paid laundry service is pricey. It would be perfect if coin-operated laundry rooms were available. We would love to come back if this improvement is made.FromSAR 496
