Top rated hotels in Nong Khai Province

Asawann Hotel

Whenever I have something to do in Nong Khai I always stay at this hotel for one or two nights. The location of the Hotel is very good next to large Supermarkets, and just a step away from the Hotel there are the characteristic ”Tuk-Tuk” ready to take you anywhere quickly. The staff is very kind and very professional and the rooms are clean. A good breakfast is included in the room price.
Panlaan Boutique Resort

One of the finest resort in Thailand! Beats the Failed Marriott Surawongse hands down in terms of Welcoming, Services from the Heart and Accommodating to guests needs! The breakfast is delicious and impressive. The owners are modest, friendly and great people! I stayed in the stand alone bungalow and exclusivity is fantastic! This is the true 5 stars hotel NOT the Marriott Surawongse!
Park & Pool Resort

PARK and POOL, If your going to stay at Nongkhai.....Then this resort is the place to stay, the pool and gardens are just beautiful, a tropical paradise. Walking distance to the lao boarder, hire a scooter from the hotel, short ride down the back street past local shops, cafes, massage shops down to walking street, the markets....to the mighty Mekong for the view & dinner etc....but OMG did mention the tropical paradise back at the resort. We had the best poolside villa...was what made it for us, staff always there for customers
Punruk Resort

Always a great place to stay, the staff are amazing, helping with ironing and washing my clothes, paid a little extra to stay late in the room (late check out) everything is good. A little bit out of town but still have deliveries, the cafe is also nice.
Vana Wellness Resort

We spent one night in a corner room (107) the room was fairly large with direct access to the pool. We are a family of two adults and three children and asked for an extra bed to be put in the room, on arrival we found a 2-inch thick mattress with a sheet laid on the floor beside one of the beds when we complained about it as we had been charged an extra 400 Baht for the extra bed a lady brought a bed base and put the mattress on it. The room we stayed in a couple of years before was 1,800 Baht before but now we were charged 3,500 Baht which I thought was a totally unreasonable price increase. When we stayed here before the pool had some tiles missing from it and I thought it was a hazard then, I assumed a couple of years later the problem would have been resolved but I was surprised to see It was actually worse, there were many tiles missing from the sides as well as the floor of the pool creating a substantial hazard to people using the pool. I, unfortunately, cut my toe on my left foot on the edge of a tile!! The breakfast is ok but missing western foods, and milk for coffee, they have only dried cream powder. Luckily I had some fresh milk in my room . All in all, I would say it is expensive and not really safe for kids to swim and I probably will not return until these problems have been resolved
Hop Inn Nong Khai

Nongkhai City Center
Comfy bed, nice air conditioning, sparkling clean, nice staff. Otherwise no breakfast and not many extras. It is a bit difficult to get to the station (my TukTuk drove a hard bargain for 100BHT, probably justifiably given the distance) but for a night or so it is great value. If you plan to stay here for longer make sure you get the Grab app or similar in order to get around, if you do not have a car. Decent hot water....a rarity in a budget hotel (this is part of a chain of budget hotels and given the standards here I will be looking for this chain elsewhere).

Location/ about a 10–15-minute walk into town along a promenade on the banks of the Mekong or there is generally a tuk-tuk waiting outside the front of the hotel Room/ was comfortable enough with a fridge, safe and bathroom with walk-in shower but lacked finishing touches and attention to detail. Safe wasn’t working initially but soon rectified, only one chair on balcony for 2 people, bathroom door difficult to close, one key card for 2 people, house keeping not great, screws sticking out of walls etc etc Breakfast/ the best thing at this hotel is the food. Excellent buffet breakfast with really friendly service, served 6.30am to 10am, always plenty of it enjoyed either in the very nice breakfast room or outside on a terrace. Egg station cooking eggs to order 4 different ways. General/ lots of secure off-road parking down the side of the hotel and behind. The rooms are in 2 separate blocks adjacent to each other with pool containing fish and seating area between them. Check out the Sky bar on top of one of the 2 blocks. Opens at 3pm and serves good selection of food at reasonable prices with great views over the town, the Mekong and into Laos beyond, great for sunsets. Would I stay here again? Yes, due to location, breakfast and Sky bar
Bualinn Resort Nongkhai

Go with your children and play in the pool. There are breakfast facilities provided. Soft bed, cool air conditioner The shower has good water flow. But the problem is that the electricity is fast and slow. The mattress has some stains. There are only disadvantages to this, but if you compare the cost of accommodation, it's worth it.

For the price point, an excellent hotel. Friendly helpful staff. The day manager, she went out of her way to make it an enjoyable stay for us, excellent English. The free hotel bikes were a bonus, made getting about so much easier. Don't bother with the bedside charge sockets, I think they feed power back into the grid :) Good breakfast with enough choice for a western meal, one was photo worthy.
Royal Mekong Riverside Hotel

I was a little surprised after booking the hotel and checking in. The lobby decoration is very local and very beautiful. The room is spacious, the bed is 1.8 in one large and 1.4 in small. It is fully equipped (refrigerator, wardrobe, coffee table, TV cabinet, etc.), there is an outdoor swimming pool, and there is a backyard. It’s the Mekong River and the road along the river. In particular, the hotel owner was very nice. Seeing us riding to the hotel very late, he took the initiative to drive us to the shopping mall to exchange currency, and took us to a local night market to eat. Thank you very much to the hotel owner and his Chinese friend for their hospitality and courtesy. We felt very comfortable and highly recommended.
