Hotels With Bars in West Coast, New Zealand

This hotel is located midway between Fox Glacier and Lake Wanaka, with not much around it, though there's a bar and restaurant nearby that serves good local food. As for the hotel itself, it's a bit smaller and older compared to other New Zealand hotels, but it's well-maintained. Having a parking spot right outside the entrance was a huge plus, especially since it was raining that day, which made it super convenient.

Given 1 for amenities as the bed was too soft and the shower was very weak and the temperature gauge was very tricky. Needed to be a plumber to set the optimum temperature. The fridge did not work. the temperature gauge button was broken

The hotel's location was fantastic, right next to the glacier. The grounds are beautiful and well-maintained, but the hotel itself, including its furnishings, is quite dated. This is why I deducted points for the furnishings, especially since they weren't very clean (dirty kettle, broken refrigerator, iron covered in limescale). The room and bathroom, however, were clean. The service team was friendly but not very well-coordinated. The portion sizes were good, and the food tasted good. The restaurant could have been cleaner; there were still crumbs from breakfast on the windowsills in the evening. It's okay for a short stop, but it no longer meets modern standards.

The hotel is small but very clean and comfortable. The location is very convenient, with Super Liquor, New World, and several restaurants just across the road. It was easy to get everything we needed during our stay.

Clean and cozy. Parking just in front of room. However, during checkout in the morning, there was no one at the reception area. Waiting for 15mins. Looks like it is understaff with a single staff running the kitchen and the reception area. Need improvement in this area.

We had a great stay. Very clean and comfy room nice wine and excellent food and service. Would highly recommend.

I was very satisfied with my stay in this hotel. It feels like it was recently renovated. The bed is very comfortable Also very clean. The service quality is also quite high. We arrived at the hotel late that night, and the waiter helped us check in and park our car in the parking area. Help with luggage. kind

Very quaint historic hotel in the middle of Kumara, not far from Greymouth. The room was clean and updated, as was the bathroom, with a great shower. Only one disappointing feature was that we could hear the rain on the adjacent roof, but if it hadn’t rained, then it would be perfect. Lovely meal in the restaurant too!

A very good hotel. The concierge will provide free valet parking. The front desk staff are also friendly and enthusiastic. They will answer and satisfy all questions. The dinner is 5 courses and the service is also very good. I am very satisfied. I will stay here next time when I go to the west coast. Will choose.
