Homestays in Zhejiang, China

Very nice experience, they upgraded our room when check in, the room is spacious and clean. We get to book early breakfast for the next morning (when check in). Definitely get this if you’re staying Wuzhen for only one night.

Positives - The room assigned to me on the 2nd floor is big with a double bed that could be a little hard but that is normal for beds in China. There is a huge bath tub and toilet which looks like the Japanese toilet but the bidet function is not working and the flushing function is working. There are the usual amenities such as disposable towels in plastic and slippers. There is a balcony overlooking the river with a table and 4 chairs for guests to seat together. It is a very good location facing the famed covered tiled roof street and many eateries around. I checked that the prices sold are reasonable when compared to same items sold in Shanghai. Area for improvement. The location of the inn is quite difficult for me to find as there is no map to indicate where it is and there is no English signage to show the direction. I have to ask around and I managed to figure out the street name in English. I wish there is a drop-off location mentioned for the taxi drivers to follow. The owners cannot speak English at all and I rely on Google translate to converse with them.

Lovely accomodation. The overall service was warm and friendly. The eggplant parmesan was my favorite dish as well as fresh juice. The room looked just like the pictures. They do seem to need a bit more staff to cook and serve when the dining area gets busy. Pre-ordering meals doesn't necessarily mean that all food will be ready at once. Our friends had about 40 minutes wait between dishes. Also, the first morning, breakfast was served beuatifully. The second morning, we had to inquire about different parts of our breakfast since it was not all served at once. Overall, very kind service with a smile. The welcome fruit was a nice touch.

The hotel is in a great location. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the hometown of the Sage of Calligraphy and the surrounding former residences, and it takes more than ten minutes to get to Cangqiao Zhijie Street! The room space is compact, and my room has a spacious washroom. The service is very good! Before checking in, we will confirm whether we need a parking space, and we can also ask if we can check in early. The feeling is very detailed and warm. The hotel is in a residential area, surrounded by old neighborhoods, and it is very quiet at night. Not far away is Joy City and other businesses, and it is very convenient to eat and take out. Finally, I experienced the breakfast here, each person has a local specialty, rich in variety, light and refreshing! One serving is enough to fill you up haha

The room is generally good and clean. It is also a new decoration on the old building. You can see that the store owner is very attentive. The store owner will take the initiative to contact you before you go. You can get discounts when buying tickets. You must buy tickets to enter this scenic spot, so it is better to ask the B&B owner to help you save trouble. The floor of the room I stayed in was a little subsided, but it did not affect my view of the balcony. You can go out if you want during different time periods in the scenic area. Maybe the cost performance is not very high to some extent, but if you have fun out, you can't buy it no matter how much money you spend, so you can make choices according to your needs. The store's other riverside rooms are also good, and the price is cheaper. Just choose according to your needs.

Due to the hotel our trip was amazing!!! The room is clean and cosy, there are hairdryer, air conditioner, disposable towels, shampoos and toothbrushes – everything needed. Moreover, owners of the guest house suggested breakfast and tea in the evening🥹 They also helped us to rent a bike for a whole day, so we traveled around with much more comfort than expected. The terrace is beyond beautiful, in the night it’s great to sit there. All in all, thanks for the service, atmosphere, support and kindness! It was a great stay at the homestay. The staff in the hotel is very helpful and recommended food which I can try in the WuZhen town. Besides, the breakfast and was great.

Advantages: The service attitude of the store is really good, and I must give it a thumbs up. The interior of the house is warm. Their beds are moderately soft and hard, which is OK. The location is good, not far from the subway, there are food downstairs, and it is close to the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. The room I stayed in is outside the green belt along the river, and the environment is quiet. Improvements: The map is not clearly marked, but fortunately the store solved it by phone, saying that it was a bug of the platform. The room is a little smaller than expected, because it is a loft, so each floor is a little shorter, which seems cramped, and this crampedness is particularly obvious in the shower room. When I first entered the room, there was a peculiar smell, and I could only rely on the exhaust fan for ventilation. After turning on the exhaust fan, the problem improved. There were footsteps upstairs, which is a sound insulation problem of the building itself.

The owner is very nice and friendly. There’s no lift in the building, but the owner helped us to carry our luggage to the room. He also recommended us hanfu and photo shooting studio which provides a superb service. The room comes with 2 beds, hence, it’s a bit pack with our luggage open up. The room type a bit old (traditional feel) but overall we had good experience here. The owner also very helpful, he helped us to arrange transport from wuzhen to Suzhou with a low rate. He also give us souvenirs before we left.

We were a family of four foreigners staying in Hangzhou for 5 days. The landlady was extremely nice and helpful, giving us advice on places to go in the area. In addition, the place was comfortable and well located next to Xihu. I definitely would recommend it to anyone looking for a enjoyable stay in Hangzhou!
