I had an incredible experience in Iceland, and staying at this hostel made it even better! The atmosphere was peaceful, and the large pantry/kitchen was a highlight, offering plenty of space to cook and enjoy the beautiful views. Everything was clean and well-maintained, making it a comfortable place to relax. However, one downside was that my food was thrown away by the staff before I had fully checked out, despite labeling it with my check-out date. That was a bit disappointing, but overall, the positives far outweighed this minor issue. I would still highly recommend this hostel for anyone visiting Iceland!

The location is very good, it’s very close to the city center, sightseeings and the bus station (flybus to the airport). Good fully equipped kitchen, you really can cook everything here. Nice living room zone with big dining table. My shared room was a bit too small for 6 people, not enough place to open the big travel bag. The bed was too small, there is no individual lamp and socket next to the bed. The price was good, during the high season it was really big luck to book this place for such a small price. I can recommend this place!

A recommendable place for sure to stay :). Close walking from bus stops, in front of places where to eat fast food and also the sea. The dorm was fine and good beds, without curtains. The kitchen was prepared with many useful cooking tools. Nice decoration, nice staff helpful and able to speak good English, they are prepared to receive tourism with maps. This is not in hands of the hostel but would be nice if they can do something: there are couple of guest so stinky, one close to my bed was sooo smelly, I was capable to recognize when he was not covered with the blanket, so disgusting, also the house keeping is nice to clean, but there is to many guest, the trash cans are so full and people do not wash their dishes.

Always nice and clean! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Not so many travelers during my stay, so no waiting for the shower rooms. Perfect for the price.

The staff of the Hostel are very responsible to solve problems for the guests. There are washing machines and dryers, and the charges are reasonable. ISK2000 is cheaper than some hostels, but the location is a bit far away from the city, and it may be inconvenient for those without a car. There is a very comfortable common area. There is also a hairdryer in the common area, so you don't have to worry about making noise to other guests at night.

Check-in was pretty smooth. I was allocated the room just above the main entrance as such, it can be quite noisy whenever people get in or out of the hostel with the door slamming and some vibration felt! The bathroom and wc are fairly clean and tidy. Very cosy common area to mingle and make new friends. Kitchen has all the basic necessity. I especially like the small area right outside my room where i can have a light meal and nice view of the surroundings. Bought the unlimited bus rides ticket via the Klappid app for travel within the Reykjavik capital city and bus svc 12 is just few steps away. If time permits, you can even walk to the coastal area for sight-seeing. Overall, i am very satisfied with my 8 nights stay at Laekur hostel!

The service is very good. The location of the hotel is very convenient. You can take the bus from the airport to the terminal and walk directly there. No problem. We are a very good hotel in summer. Don't press on the flowers and plants. Just a reminder. When you see a pedestrian road, cross the highway. Go directly. Don't go on the overpass. If you keep walking across it, you can see the youth hostel. It is right next to the University of Iceland sign. Handsome guy serves. The staff was great and they let us check in in advance. The female manager was also very nice. There is a very beautiful lobby and a large kitchen and restaurant in the building where we live. We were very happy living there and often cooked our own meals. Friends from all over the world are very good. Except for a young ********* couple, I remind all Chinese people to be smart when going out. Prices in Iceland are very expensive, but when you go to other people’s restaurants, you must not order a drink for only a few people. , or a meal, if you think it’s too expensive or just want to check in, just send one person in. Don’t let the Chinese face fall in when you go out. Many ********* Internet celebrities let people bring rice and doll noodles. In fact, the Icelandic pig Supermarkets have everything and are not too expensive. Iceland is a region with a shortage of supplies. Due to geographical reasons, they don’t have much time to do business, so everyone takes up other people’s resources in the summer, but only a few people can consume one meal. It’s a bit Excessive. I also participated in a one-day tour and felt that the tour guide was very professional. Please also tip the driver and tour guide, about 10 US dollars. It is not a matter of money, it is an affirmation of their professionalism. Others will be very happy, but this time When I tipped the tour guide in Iceland, he was very surprised. He said he had never seen a Chinese tip him. I said no, we Hong Kong people always tip when we see good service. Maybe young Chinese nowadays, I no longer have the heart to appreciate others' services. The tour guides in Iceland are very professional. Some of them are university teachers. They promote Iceland in the summer, so they come out to lead tours. But as he said, except for some Westerners and us, there was no one in the car. A few mainland girls paid extra tips, and the tour guide stopped at the small church where they checked in and took special care of them along the way. So if you go to other countries, you feel that the people there don't look good on you. Examine yourself, just like us Hong Kongers and ********* people who laugh at mainland tourists who go to Hong Kong and Taiwan to bring their own instant noodles instead of buying them. The situation is the same. In Hong Kong and Taiwan, consumption is expensive, and mainland tourists think it is not worth it. If you laugh at others, go to Iceland and bring your own instant noodles. Rice noodles instant noodles, then you have no right to laugh at the mainland customers
