We booked this hotel due to its proximity to the theatre we were going to. It wasn’t the best time due to the thousands of protestors and the FA Cup Final but from inside the hotel you wouldn’t know anything was going on outside. The protestors were literally walking straight past as we arrived. The staff were all happily getting on with their work making us as comfortable as possible. We upgraded our room and it was already ready. We were very happy with all the complimentary tea/coffee and biscuits. Everything we needed was there including hairdryer, ironing board and iron. Inside the room and all around the hotel was impeccably clean and all the staff were extremely helpful and smiley! Our friend has a mobility scooter and again the hotel was very accommodating especially in the restaurant. You would be very surprised how many hotels are not equipped nor have suitable awareness of someone’s needs in this situation. Will definitely return to The Strand Palace

The hotel is conveniently located near Tower Bridge and Tower Hill tube station. This was my second stay, and the transportation is excellent. The dining area is spacious, and breakfast is quite good. Rooms on the mid-to-high floors offer views of the Gherkin.

Traveling in the UK, I found this hotel near the British Museum. It's about a 10-minute walk from the museum, and there are plenty of convenience stores and supermarkets nearby. There's also a metro station with a direct line to the airport. The hotel was reasonably clean, and the facilities and service were good. The front desk offers 24-hour luggage storage.

First off, the location is excellent, and the hotel itself is massive! The view room exceeded my expectations. However, the facilities are quite old, though the room was still clean and not cramped. Check-in was self-service via a machine. On the day I checked in, the hotel Wi-Fi was down, and there was absolutely no signal in the room, but it was fixed a few hours later. The pictures show the room's view during the day and night – truly exceeded what I expected!

The hotel is located near Kensington High Street, about 300 meters from the tube station. The location and surrounding area are quite good. The 18-square-meter king-size room is also a decent size, though the facilities are basic. The fabric sofas in the lobby are so worn they're shiny and clearly haven't been replaced in ages. The sink is incredibly tiny, and water splashes onto the floor every time you wash your hands. The English breakfast, however, was excellent and definitely a highlight. Despite these flaws, overall, it offers good value for money.

Close to the underground and the Heathrow express 15 minutes and you are at terminal 2 so picked for these reasons. The room was good and clean. Service was ok, we asked for more water and we had to go down and get it after 45 minutes as we did not need any room service while there for the 3 days just some more water. Would have to say the person we dealt with we learning and guessing he forgot. But close to the city and easy to train or walk to a lot of places. Hyde park is down the road and a nice wee stroll.

Stayed in a capsule for three nights. Overall, it was a great experience and very good value for money. Pros: • the capsules are very comfortable - I was able to sleep just as well as in a hotel • very cheap for the comfort, cleanliness and location • they are also very fun and different so enjoyed the new experience • the corridors are mostly silent apart from the occasional noise of people moving around • no noise from outside the building • corridors and capsules both have good air conditioning • capsules have hooks, dimible lights, a mirror and a plug socket and USB-A and C charging ports • bathrooms are cleaned regularly • the check in and out is an easy self service on an iPad but there are also staff who can assist with this and anything else if needed (for example I got a free toothbrush as I had forgotten to bring one) - I was very impressed with the customer service overall • the lobby area has vending machines for some toiletries, snacks and drinks • there is 24/7 security at the door • the location is incredibly central and just 30 seconds from the underground - but so much of Central London is within walking distance • especially good value for solo travellers Cons: • towels are not included so you need to bring your own or pay • luggage storage is the same • the capsules have a lock on the inside but you need a padlock for the outside which is not provided (you can buy one from the vending machines in the lobby) • there is only one vertical bar per capsule to hang up a towel - you might struggle to dry wet clothes if it was rainy • there is a big room of toilet and shower cubicles - the shower cubicles have a small bench and area for changing, which gets wet when you use the shower - making changing a bit uncomfortable (perhaps installing floor-length shower curtains between the sections could help) • the local area is very touristy so you miss out on the slightly quieter London neighbourhood feel of somewhere people actually live • the area can be a bit rowdy at night • not great facilities for shaving However no hostel or hotel is going to be perfect at this price, especially in such a central part of London. I was quite skeptical of staying in this kind of accomodation, but overall I loved my stay and it was brilliant value. I will definitely be staying here again many times in the future when I am in London and I would highly recommend it. Tips for staying here: • bring your own padlock and towel • bring flip flops, sliders or sandals for the toilet and showers • women who would prefer not to share facilities with men can book women's only capsules • pack light - there isn't a lot of space for bags and large bags aren't allowed in the capsule

The hotel's location is excellent, very close to the metro station, about a 3-minute walk; it's also not far from the British Museum, around an 8-10 minute walk. There are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby, which is very convenient. The room size is quite spacious for London standards. The soundproofing could be better, and the hotel rooms don't have air conditioning, which was the only thing that was really difficult to accept – it was very uncomfortable without AC in 30-degree weather. Check-in isn't until after 2 PM, which feels a bit inflexible, but they do offer free luggage storage.

The hotel is lovely, clean and cosy. It came with free bottles of water. It’s quiet so you can enjoy your peaceful sleep. The front desk people were lovely and helpful right as I got to the front desk and assisted with the number of cab company as my flight was very early in the morning. I don’t know if they have bell boys though (I didn’t ask, so had to struggle with getting my luggage from my room to the reception during check out). I’ll definitely recommend this hotel.
