Front Entry to hotel was up a steep flight of stairs, no one was there to help carry luggage and my suitcase was heavy. Not a happy customer to start! Very tiny reception area at top of stairs.pleasant staff but only one room was ready at check in time. We managed to survive until 5pm by checking out the variety of restaurants in the area. This is a good central location. Breakfast was good, self service buffet & hot food, service varied. Very pleasant staff. Bedroom was oddly shaped, shower looked good but was difficult to work. Adequate wardrobe space ; I just wish modern hotels provided more drawers. Not the best Indigo hotel I’ve stayed in but generally a reliable chain of hotels.

Had a short stay in Manchester and needed a place that I could also work from while enjoying the city. The studio room was clean, well furnished and had everything I needed for a short stay. The staff was friendly, and there was a ”grab and go” breakfast offered which wasn't particularly appealing but better than nothing. Location was good and had plenty to do nearby- bit difficult to get to from the airport, needed an Uber.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel during an event at AO Arena. The location was incredibly convenient, making it a breeze to access the arena. The room provided was spacious, offering ample space to relax and unwind. One of the standout features was the reasonable price, which made the overall experience even more satisfying. Additionally, the self-checkout mini store in the reception area stocked with a variety of snacks was a delightful touch. I found it convenient to grab a quick bite or indulge in some treats without having to venture far. Front desk were super friendly and quick, made the check-in and check out easy. With such positive experiences, I can confidently say that I will choose to revisit this hotel whenever I have another event at AO Arena.

Situated across from the Manchester Cathedral in a pedestrian area ..so taxis can only get up the back lane to the hotel . The bell ringers were going for two hours 7 to 9 .. ! Very close to the Arndale centre ie loads of shops .. Clean , small room ..I booked a single ensuite . No lift ..I was on the second floor , but the staff helped with my big suitcase . The labyrinth of rooms got a bit confusing ! ...Breakfast was excellent ..a great range of foods .. buffet style ..and they take orders for cooked breakfast ...Very reasonably priced ..good value for money .. There's a bar serving food .. and I think some entertainment on certain nights .

We arrived at night. The driver followed the navigation and went around twice but couldn't find the entrance to the building. Later, he asked people and found out that the entrance to the building could not be parked either. He could only park about 100 meters away from the building. He pushed 4 large suitcases and 3 small suitcases across the cobblestone road to the entrance of the building, and had to carry the heavy suitcases up several steps. There was no waiter to help with the luggage. There was only one waiter at the front desk to check in. The room was large and the kitchen was clean, but there was no bottled water, not even a hair dryer and a mouthwash cup, no toothpaste or toothbrush, but disposable slippers. Breakfast is in another building and needs to be booked in advance, otherwise you will have to wait for a long time. Breakfast is not a buffet, but you have to sit down and order. The waiter was indifferent, probably because he was too busy. Downstairs was very lively at night, with several restaurants and people coming and going. If you only stay for one night, it is not recommended, it is too much trouble. Young people or family travel should like it here. (Picture shows the steps and breakfast at the entrance)

My recent stay at the Maldon Hotel in Manchester was just okay. **Room & Amenities:** Clean room with basic amenities like a TV and free Wi-Fi, but the decor was dated, and there were no extra features like a safe or coffee maker. **Service:** Friendly staff, but inconsistent housekeeping. Some days, the room was cleaned well; other days, towels and toiletries were not replenished. **Food & Dining:** The restaurant offered limited, average-quality options. The breakfast was particularly underwhelming, and service was slow. **Facilities:** Functional but unimpressive. The fitness center had some out-of-order equipment, and the pool area was small with limited seating. **Location:** Conveniently located near attractions and public transportation, with several restaurants and shops within walking distance. **Overall:** An adequate stay with room for improvement. The hotel needs to update its amenities and provide more consistent service.

I recently stayed at this hotel, which boasts the best location for travelers arriving by coach, as it is conveniently near Shudehill Bus Station. The room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. However, I was disappointed by the lack of response to my email inquiry. Additionally, one of the receptionists was rather unapproachable and cool towards us.

It was awesome. Awesome location, close to Victoria station, Manchester Arena, National Football Museum etc. And their breakfast was so yummy with good restaurant customer service . The woman at the restaurant was very good and kind. I enjoyed my stay and will always come there next time, God willing, Amen 🙏 Most of the pictures are in my other phone.

Good location - approx 10mins walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. However didn’t feel safe wandering the area in evening on my own. Greeted by receptionist who walked me through self check in machine. Room was well appointed and looked clean. Liked that hotel provided crisps, chocolate, soft drinks and water for free in addition to the tea/coffee and biscuits. Bed was comfy. Breakfast options were good with free from alternatives. Checkout was easy via email link which I did while eating my breakfast then simply handed card key upon leaving,

During my stay, one of the restaurant staff was rude and made my family and me feel uneasy. The person didn't have good customer service skills, and it felt like we were being treated badly, which was upsetting. On the positive side, the receptionist was welcoming, lovely breakfast and the location is convenient.

Loved my stay at this Hotel. It was my third time staying at this hotel. The aesthetics of the Hotel are really nice. The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome. Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in. The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added??? But it was still good nevertheless. The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points. Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well. Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

Positives; close to didsbury and all travel links. Good to use the facilities in the morning such as the pool and spa area. Negatives; was ridiculously expensive for a 10m2 room with no breakfast 😳. Bed was barely a queen. I paid £140 for one night. Staff were pleasant enough and everything was clean and fresh.

Hotel as expected. Clean and convenient. Room had everything we needed. We visited the wellness gym but our card didn’t work so not sure if this is an extra? Only downside was breakfast was very busy, had to wait for a table and they had run out of food items. I ordered a poached egg and waited so long I went for my breakfast and finished it before my egg arrived! Good selection of food if everything had been topped up! Not enough staff on though to cater for numbers waiting for breakfast….however this wouldn’t stop me staying again! Overall a pleasant stay :)

The room itself was nice and clean. Reception basically can not see people, wifi password can not find people to ask. I heard loud noises from next door from 8:00 to 8:00 in the morning. The whole hotel is very abnormal, giving people a very unsafe feeling. Downstairs is the flagship store of gay bar street.

First, the good: the breakfast was lovely and the staff were attentive and friendly. Now the bad ... (1) even though the hotel is very close to the station and terminals, you don't know precisely where it is. Certainly not when your flight lands at 9pm and you've no idea where you're going so you end up dragging your suitcase across the dual carriageway. Sure, it's an easy walk next day in daylight and refreshed, but it's a bit late then. (2) The room was hot, so surprisingly for March I turned on the air conditioning. It didn't work. Nor did opening a window. Consequently, i was absolutely cooked through the night. Heaven help anyone staying there in August. (3) The plumbing on the fifth floor was distinctly dodgy. The shower was good but the toilet often wouldn't flush, then took ages to re-fill the cistern. It had a problem with solids, shall we say. (4) Cleanliness: outwardly, all was shining and clean; next morning when I did my customary look under the beds for lost stuff etc ... let's just say a hoover hadn't been there in decades.

A very very worrying check in interaction with the manager of the hotel he seemed like he was high on some sort of ***** and his eyes were like biscuits. He also took later about 15mins later on to try and charge me for items I wanted to purchase from the front desk, even the security checked on him to make sure he was alright. Over the last 5 years I have stayed here many times for leisure and work. Always has been great hotel and staff, hotel was as usual was perfect I think they just need to address this staffing issue

Amazing hotel! The man who greeted me at reception for check in was very nice and professional. Rooms were very clean with complementary still/sparkling water in the fridge. Kettle and Teabags were also available if needed. The room did only have 1 chair at the desk which was a bit annoying, however not a major critique. Shower was very nice, towels and hand soaps / shower gels were provided. However the bathroom door did not have a lock on it as it was a sliding door. It was fine for us since we went as a couple, but is something to take note of. All in all, Great stay!!

The hotel is beautifully decorated, and the service is impeccable. The deposit was refunded very quickly, which was a pleasant surprise. I drank two bottles of water, but there was no deduction from the deposit—an unexpected bonus. However, there are a few areas for improvement in the hotel facilities. The blue bed runner is of poor quality; it sheds lint that ends up on the sheets. More attention should be given to the details of room amenities such as bedding and towels. Additionally, some beverages in the fridge require a bottle opener, but I couldn’t find one among the room tools. Wishing the hotel continued success in its operations.

Best location for a night out in SpinningFields. 1 minute walk from everywhere we went. 12pm checkout which is better than most places we’ve stayed. Another Bonus is that you get a code to get 50% off your carpark. £15 for 24hrs was worth it as only 5-6 minute walk from hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, we even got a welcome drink on arrival. 100% recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Midland Manchester – everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and couldn’t do enough for us. Every member of the team made us feel genuinely looked after, and the service throughout was faultless. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The bed was like sleeping on a cloud – we had some of the best nights’ sleep we’ve had in ages! The room service was prompt, professional, and the food was delicious – a real treat after a long day exploring the city. Speaking of relaxing – the spa was absolutely divine. Clean, calming, and wonderfully designed, it was the perfect escape. The massage was one of the best I’ve ever had – incredibly soothing and tailored to perfection. If you’re in need of some proper pampering, this is the place to be. Location-wise, you couldn’t ask for better. Right in the heart of Manchester, everything is within walking distance, yet the hotel still manages to feel like a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle. All in all, The Midland is a true gem. Comfortable, elegant, and run by an outstanding team. We’ll absolutely be back!

My second time staying in this hotel. The last time was 2 years ago.  A little disappointed this time.  Though was able to do an early check in, the room assigned was a room meant for special need people with hand bars in toilet. Whenever someone bathes.. the floor would be all wet and slippery.  Carpet and beddings were dated. The room has a stale smell and lightings in room were weak. The air con leaked with dripping sound all night and we were unable to sleep well for the 2 nights. Carpet around the air con which is also the main door area were wet in the mornings due to the leakage. The sofa bed wasn’t comfortable, spring in the middle sunk and hence the person sleeping on it has a backache ! Don’t think we would be back . Will be putting up in IBIS in Salford Quay and Pollard street for another 10 nights in July , hope situation would be better..
