Having stayed here previously and love this hotel I booked a Balcony room for a special occasion. The welcome from reception was quite cold, was informed at 3pm the room still wasn’t ready and on expressing disappointment it suddenly was and was informed they were short staffed. The tv didn’t work and had to ask for assistance which involved staff member having to come into the room and climb on the desk to try and get it on which thankfully she eventually managed to do. The ash tray on the balcony was full of cigarette ends and hadn’t been emptied from previous guests. The tea and coffee making facilities were very limited for a £200 pound a night room. The Bistro was closed which we weren’t aware of, may have missed the notification but the stay made me feel like I was an inconvenience rather than a welcome guest. Will probably think twice before returning.
