|0.66km from city centreThe hotel is located in the city center. Everyone knows that the rooms in British hotels are not very big, but this one is okay. The only thing is that there is only one piece of glass in the shower room, so it is easy to splash out when taking a shower. Secondly, British hotels do not have toiletries and slippers. We stayed for two nights first, but no one came to clean up in the morning when we went out the next day. At noon, the waiter knocked on the door and we took a nap and asked us to come back to clean up in two hours. We went out in the afternoon and came back at night, but there was no cleaning. The drinking water and paper towels in the room were not replenished. The breakfast was relatively exquisite, but it is impossible to have such diversity in China. So on the third day, I went to another hotel and stayed for one night, and then I decided to stay in this hotel for the remaining three days. Although the price has increased again, the room may be smaller because there is only a deluxe twin room left. The location in the city center is OK. The alley across the road is China Street, and it is also very close to the Bank of China. It takes about ten minutes to walk to the pedestrian street. Even in the city center, I can't find a home appliance store.

The person didn't have good customer service skills, and it felt like we were being treated badly, which was upsetting. On the positive side, the receptionist was welcoming, lovely breakfast and the location is convenient.

The bed was very comfortable, and we appreciated the thoughtful touch of complimentary snacks and drinks provided at check-in. The breakfast spread was excellent and delicious. The location is very convenient for Terminal 2. However, there aren’t any nearby restaurants, and since we were using Terminal 1, it took about 15 minutes to walk there. Overall, it’s a great choice, highly recommended.

The spaces in the hotel are modern with a touch of luxury. The front desk ladies that I met during my stay were welcoming, friendly and had good vibes.Nothing beats a warm welcome.
Check in was quick and easy and very professional. I forgot the name of the lady that checked us in but she was fabulous. We checked in on September 4th 2024 between 12:20-12:50 so the lady that was sat on the right side of the main desk at that time did really well n checking us in.
The breakfast was okay , but it kinda left me wanting more in terms of selection. Maybe beef sausages or even chicken sausages could be added???
But it was still good nevertheless.
The location of the hotel is also pretty good as you are able to go to access many restaurants… and shopping points.
Distance from the Machester Piccadilly Train station from this hotel is super convenient as well.
Would totally recommend this hotel😊😊😊

Negatives; was ridiculously expensive for a 10m2 room with no breakfast 😳. Bed was barely a queen. I paid £140 for one night.

|1.73km from city centre1. We normally check out 11am? But the cleaner man knocked the door at 1030am. He is polite but it's really feeling bad as it seems push us to leave asap. I think it need to be improved.
2. The room is clean, but the blanket and the pillow very dirty.
3. It's very silent room and close to the train station. You can walk to the station and take the free bus travel around the center.
4. The price is very good price to stay in Manchester. I will choose to stay here again if I visited Manchester again.
5. The hotel is also a bit close to the bars. But the roads not dangerous. It's seems safe.

Firstly the was a poo stain on the toilet lid when I checked in and then later when I took a bath it was that hot that I burnt the bottom layer of my foot from the water. There is no way it should be running that hot. Then once I managed to cool my foot down and the bath. I burnt 2 of my toes just from touch the side of the taps. A very different experience from my first night stay and you can see from my review

The bed shelves are carved up and down, left and right, and the characters on the side of the bed. There is also a large mirror on the side of the bed. The left and right sides of the hotel are all bars and restaurants. It will not stop before 3am, especially the sound of drumming, although the sound is not loud, but the rhythm is similar to the heartbeat, which seriously affects the rest. I drank two bottles of water, but there was no deduction from the deposit—an unexpected bonus. However, there are a few areas for improvement in the hotel facilities. The blue bed runner is of poor quality; it sheds lint that ends up on the sheets. More attention should be given to the details of room amenities such as bedding and towels. Additionally, some beverages in the fridge require a bottle opener, but I couldn’t find one among the room tools. Wishing the hotel continued success in its operations.

Both nights we stayed at the Midland there were wedding parties being hosted there, unfortunately this led to not having the best sleep as there was regularly noise coming from other rooms, but when we called reception they did their best to help.
In the morning the staff were extremely apologetic and went above and beyond to make it up to us and said they usually are able to keep the bigger parties staying in the same area so this does not happen.

The staff are excellent and really pull the stops out to make your stay here extra special. The complimentary drink to meet other hotel patrons between 5-6pm is a welcomed touch. The food in the Refuge restaurant is of a high standard and I can honestly say that their Sunday Roasts are one of the best I have ever had. Breakfast was also of excellent quality. Sunday evening live jazz in the bar creates a great vibe. What I truly like about this 5* hotel is the atmosphere. Unlike most hotels, this hotel does not have that lifeless clinical feel that the majority of hotels who are catering to business clients. There restaurant and bars are of a quality where you would want to go even if you are not lucky enough to stay in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stay here.

It's next to a 24-hour McDonalds, which is even better. The decor is really old though; the TV and hairdryer didn't work. If you're just looking for a place to shower and sleep, it's fine. The Hotel is welcoming and fresh and staff were friendly and very obliging. We had breakfast which was ok - it was around 9am and the area was busy and there was only 2 staff on and I experienced a few of the stations (preserves / cheese) were needing topped up and I felt the staff were busy enough so didn't approach.
