Summer Sporting events in French cities

Getting to France from the UK

If you are traveling from the UK, there are several ways to reach France. We cover all the most popular ways such as taking the Eurostar train, flight, driving, taking a coach, and taking the ferry. Flights are the most popular choice, with numerous airlines offering direct routes. Consider booking your flights in advance to secure the best deals. Alternatively, you can also opt for Eurostar trains , which provide a comfortable and scenic journey from London to Paris in just a few hours. Travelling by bus, or ferry are also possible. Research and choose the mode of transportation that suits your preferences and budget.

Take Eurostar trains from the UK to France

Traveling by train is a convenient option for reaching France from the UK. It takes as little as 2 hours and 15 mins to travel from London to Paris by the high-speed train and offers connection to other French cities. Unlike travel by flight, it saves significant time and money on airport transfers and you also don’t need to worry about the limits of luggages, which takes away some of the stress of travelling. It is recommended to book train tickets in advance to enjoy discounted fares. Look out for package deals that combine train tickets with the sporting event tickets for added convenience.

Take a flight to France

During the summer period, there will be a surge in demand for flights to France. You can take a flight to Paris from a wide range of destinations across the UK. Many UK cities such as London,Manchester,Birmingham and Edinburgh offer direct flight to Paris. When it comes to booking tickets to Paris, it’s worth noting that the city is served by three airports; Charles de Gaulle, Orly and Beauvais, all of which are just a bus, train or taxi ride from the city centre. With plenty of cheap flights to Paris available, there's never been a better time to visit. To secure affordable tickets, it is advisable to book early or consider flexible travel dates. Compare prices from different airlines and utilize flight comparison websites to find the best deals. Hotel’s hardware is good and new, while the service is mediocre where their air conditioning system is switching itself off every 15mins which made me unable to sleep at all and forced to swap room at 5am. While their hotline is not working at all during the first night where i had to go to the lobby myself at 5 am. The rest of the stay is fine while they apologized for the air con mishap. The street outside the hotel is under construction currently and is very dark at night, might made people feel a bit dodgy at night while i can see people smoking **** at the park nearby per photo. This is kind of expected given the convenient location of the hotel.

It was s great experience in Ibis Hotel in Cambrionne. The location and service were fabulous. The only thing missing in the amenities is gym 🙂 I would like to commend the guy(forgot to ask his name) who’s on duty every evening and midnight time. He was so helpful and friendly, when I complain about the room being hot, he immediately responded and helped us. The only 2 things we can complain is that the room was hot (we were on a good suit room with nice view as Per request) and the wifi was sometimes slow. The rest is okay and wonderful. Thank you and will be back soon. Merci 💕

We chose this hotel for its excellent location and spacious rooms, and we were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel offers great connectivity for attending trade shows, and interesting neighborhoods like Marais and Canal Saint Martin are just a 15-minute walk away. The uniquely decorated room had a cozy atmosphere, though the open bathroom layout might be inconvenient for those seeking privacy. I requested a kettle for boiling water and slippers, which were provided promptly. A charming feature is the collection of humorous messages designed as a mini book to hang when leaving your room. The breakfast was excellent, and the hotel also has the renowned restaurant Neni, which we loved from our time in Vienna. We initially faced an issue with being charged double for taxes, but after communicating with the manager, we received a refund. The hotel has a good feedback system, allowing you to reach out to the GM if you're not satisfied. While the prices are slightly above average, the positive aspects of our stay made it enjoyable overall.

Location: if you need a hotel not far from Gare du NOrd but do not want to be located there, gare de l'est is the second best option (only 10 minutes walk). For business travel, it does the tricks perfectly. Also, what a view from this room (see pictures of the Eiffel Tower and Sacré Coeur). Cleanliness: while the hotel rooms are getting a bit old and you can see it, cleanliness was perfect. Service: good, nothing much to share. Smiling greeting, quick check out. Facilities: bit minimalistic, but the desk to work on was perfect and provided really a lot of space. Again, for business travel it is a game changer.

Stayed here in May 2025. The hotel is just a 3-minute walk from Gare du Nord, which made it super convenient for train travel. The room was small but clean and well-equipped—with a comfy bed, kettle, tea, water, and a safe. Bathroom was modern, with good water pressure and a strong hairdryer. Our room faced the inner courtyard, so it was very quiet. Staff were friendly and spoke good English. Check-in was fast and smooth. We didn’t try the breakfast but the dining area looked nice. Lots of shops and food options nearby, and metro access is excellent for getting around Paris. Overall, a great value stay if you want somewhere clean, quiet, and convenient.

The Hotel is positioning as a 4 Star hotel. Unfortunately it needs a lot of renovation inside. As you can see at the pictures there is necessary to renovate the room doors and paint it again. Upon arriving at evening 20.10.24 I was told the hotel doesn’t see my reservation at all and they have no booked room for me. After 30 minutes negotiations, check the data, connection to provider I obtained the room only. As the receptionist told me there was a crackdown of the hotel booking system recently. Thank you for the reception officer to provide me 2 rooms apartment for the first night. The breakfasts were tasty with a good varieties of fresh fruits, quarks and good coffee. Location is perfect for the shoppers absolutely and it is not far away from the Metro stations.

The hotel is conveniently located, walking distance to the Arch of Triumph and the Eiffel Tower, there's many coffee shops around, unfortunately like all Europe, they close to early. The rooms are small but charming, really clean and the breakfast is basic but delicious. The halls need a bit more of lightning, but overall is a nice place to stay.

What is the experience of a five-star hotel without heating on a day of 10 degrees to 8 degrees? It really happened to me, and it was a Sofitel. Anyway, I caught a cold directly on the second day after staying, and the windows were closed tightly. The equipment Everything else is nonsense. I complained to the front desk the next day. Anyway, the attitude was very sincere, but the problem had occurred and the facilities were very backward.
