Tigh Na Leigh

Had two night Dinner, Bed and breakfast stay in November2023. Graham and Karen were excellent hosts. Graham coming up with a good suggestion to have a trip up Glen Esk at Edzell (weather was a bit frosty but Glen was well worth viewing). Room was clean, spacious and bed was very comfortable. Dinner each evening was excellent and breakfast had a good choice of food. Eggs were fresh as they have their own hens. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

The most stylish and comfortable guest house we've ever stayed in. All the rooms are fabulous! Colours/artwork/furnishing are all amazing and the breakfast was excellent, wish we could have sampled the evening meals! We would love to stay again and would go for one of the more expensive rooms, well worth the money. Karen and Graham were charming and extremely helpful, they have created a unique place to stay. The garden and surroundings enhance the whole experience, and needless to say, it was spotlessly clean and fresh throughout.

Everything about this guest house is perfect. The quality of the building, furnishings, fitments and decor is exceptional with obviously a great attention to detail. All the public rooms and my bedroom (I obviously can’t speak for the others) were immaculate with well chosen artwork on the walls. It is spotlessly clean and the hosts very friendly and welcoming. And the breakfast was faultless, with good quality ingredients served in a lovely room overlooking the garden. It was exceptional value for money given the quality of the place. I travelled solo for only one night but some time hope to return for longer.

Fabulous short break in a gorgeous area. Excellent hosts matched with super food and comfy rooms made for a lovely few days. Highly recommend and enjoy dinner if you get the chance. Will be back!

This six bedroom guest house is located in the small farming community of Alyth near Blairgowrie in Perthshire. We were warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive owners, Graham & Karen Smith, and given a tour of the premises and gardens – a former doctor’s home and surgery beautifully and sensitively decorated and extended to provide a luxury feel and spacious comfortable rooms. We had a large double room with its own lounge, smart TV, and free wi-fi. The bedroom and ensuite shower was spacious with a super king sized double bed – more than enough room for us both to have a restful night’s sleep after a busy day and a relaxing drink in one of the two hotel lounges. Unfortunately, on a freezing night (-3c degrees outside) the hotel’s heating system wasn’t able to keep us warm enough. Breakfast was served in the extension which gave wonderful views of the gardens while we enjoyed the many delights of a full Scottish menu. Tigh Na Leigh is an excellent example of the high-quality hospitality on offer in Scotland – and at very competitive rates.

This place was incredible down to the last detail. We were traveling through Scotland, and we were lucky that there was a last minute opening the night of our stay. Karen & Graham greeted us as soon as we arrived and showed us around. I wish we had stayed here a few more days. The beds are comfortable, the place is clean and very well decorated, the hospitality is just outstanding. They have a bar setup in one of the rooms with music, which was a perfect way for us to wind down after a crazy travel day. The breakfast in the morning was one of the best meals we had in Scotland. The price of the stay was extremely reasonable for the 5 star experience we received. Thank you Karen & Graham for such a wonderful experience.

Had a lovely two night stay at Tigh Na Leigh. Wonderful old building full of comfort and character and amazing breakfasts and dinners. Graham and Karen were super helpful hosts and clearly took great pride in making our stay as good as possible.

This bed and breakfast has to be the most beautiful house I’ve stayed in and also seen! The decor is so unusual, a total work of art! I can’t recommend this place enough. So much thought and care has been put into make your stay out the ordinary. Great location, huge clean room and a totally luxurious home. I really want to say thank you again for opening your home for travellers to enjoy.

Though we had to cut our stay short the owners were very accommodating. Their establishment was breathtaking, by far the best place we stayed at while on our vacation. Everything was beyond what you would expect at a B and B. The breakfast was phenomenal. Who serves eggs Benedict for breakfast? And cloth napkins! Karen recommended a restaurant for us to eat at which also was a gem in Alyth.
