Arantza Hotela- Adults Only

This hotel is set in a rural peaceful setting, but offers a wide range of amenities in contemporary accommodation. The Attic Room was fantastic offering views across the valley. The hotel has a small gym, spa and wine tasting room. You can eat in your room, but our experience was that you were able to learn about the area its food and culture from the staff, who couldn't have been kinder and more attentive. Its isolated location was not a problem for us, however a car would give more flexibility to explore the region.

It was our wedding anniversary. The room were superb, the private spa and real treat. The food was very tasty and the staff were attentive. There was a few things that were disappointing though. First, in the spa area there was a nespresso machine but only plastic tumblers to drink it for. Secondly, the coffee capsules in the room were not original. Thirdly, the package mentioned a welcoming gift but we didn't get anything. When I asked about it, the staff member said it was a glass of wine on the bar between 7pm and 7.30pm. We were never told this and I asked at 8pm after coming back from a walk. The same staff member had advised us on the walk so it's a shame he didn't tell us about the welcoming gift. Then, there were odd items in the room's mini bar, like two bottles of juice but only one bottle of sparkling water. Finally, the hotel should be adults only but when we were going for a walk we saw a couple going to the spa, with children clearly over 10 years old..... Other than that, it was a wonderful opportunity to detox. I'd like to pass my compliments to the lady that carried lut our massages.

We had the best experience at Arantza. The location, facilities, and surrounding area were all beautiful. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The food was great too. I highly recommend visiting Arantza if you're visiting Basque country and are craving a relaxing experience.

A feast for all of our senses. Check them off: sight (beautiful natural setting, tasteful and relaxing decor), touch (spa, massage, bedding), taste (flawless dinner and breakfast), smell (elegant toiletries) and sound (silence, except for the soft tinkling of sheep bells). We have never been so pampered, and cannot wait to return for a longer visit.

Our stay here was exceptional from start to finish. Alberto & Johannes were so welcoming. We were upgraded on our honeymoon and had a very tranquil stay. The food was fantastic, gorgeous views in the valley and lovely nearby cycles and hikes. We enjoyed the spa and the rooms are lovely. We cannot fault this place and would highly recommend a visit! Thank you for our wonderful stay!
