Hotels in Omonia, Athens

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. The staff were friendly and provided excellent service throughout my visit. The room was clean and comfortable and the location was convenient. Every sightseeing and location was around the corner.The only small downside was that the shower area was a bit narrow. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would happily recommend this hotel.

Overall, the hotel was very nice, clean, and new. Just be careful not to use the back streets when coming back at night, as they can be dark and people sleeping on the roadside might make you feel uneasy. I would definitely choose this hotel again because I've figured out the best routes now 😇. Also, it would be perfect if there were hotel slippers/disposable slippers in the room. By the way, transportation to and from the airport is very convenient, with the metro just 300-400 meters away.

Near train station of Central Athens, for 15 minutes walk (btw the announce from train only saying ”Athina”, some mess). Connect easily to metro Larissa Station. You can walk to the central of Athens, including attractions like Ancient Agora and Roman Agora. If you walk further south into the area, the famous Acropolis and the museum can be reached. Although some comments mentioned the locating area of hotel is a little bit not safe, this is just basic living area of locals (though some root level). Just keep yourself alerts, and they are not willing to border you. Once you reach the door of hotel, you will find feeling of good safety, there are always securities in front of door of hotel. Staffs are nice, greeting with you; breakfast provided, same types of choices everyday (I stayed 4 nights), good enough of Western Greek styles. Rooms are slightly old but tidy, anyway just remember basic facilities are provided e.g. no bottled water, toothbrush, slippers. In conclude, just a good 3-stars standard hotel, near city center, for budget! Lastly, just no worry on foods, some 24hr restaurants, maybe that Bread Factory hah

I stayed for several nights and it was pretty good. The lobby is great for working, the environment is very clean, and you can store your luggage. I'll definitely go back next time. There are plenty of rooms too. It was alright.

Lovely smaller style hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Room and bathroom immaculately clean. I booked a delux double room. Pleasant roof top bar with Acropolis view, perfect for sunset cocktails. Omonia Station about 300m walk, Monastiraki and Plaka about 1km walk both great for shopping and flea markets. Train from Omonia goes to Acropolis and Monastiraki. Quiet neighbourhood, bit rough around the edges but nothing too sketchy. Would stay again.

Decent hotel and 2 mins walk from Omonia station. Area is rough with homeless and people on ***** but was told that it is safe to walk to Omnia station and back before 9pm as people wont disturb you. No issues in my 3 nights stay and i was back in the hotel before dark. Keys have to be deposited with the staff before leave the hotel and collected when you are back. They will verify the room number against your name.

I stayed in a single room on floor 4. The room was clean and had a window. The windows opened. There was a new fridge in the room that was fantastic and I was able to have ice cold drinks. The bathroom was small but had everything I needed. The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and linens provided. The cleaner was very nice. There was enough room for all my bags, it was snug but very good for the price. I ate breakfast every morning. It was a really nice breakfast room. The breakfast is basic but everything is very fresh and nicely presented. Floor 1 had a strong scent of tobacco and I assumed it was the smoking floor. Floor 4 where I stayed was very quiet and I didn’t smell smoke at all. As a non smoking so traveller I have to have theses needs met! The reception staff were very friendly and polite. The hotel is central it’s only a 20 min walk to all the Athens highlights. It’s a great walk too! Lots of interesting shops! The Archeological museum is only a short walk from the hotel so well placed. The train station main line is only 15 min walk too. There’s a great place to have a full dinner just round the corner for around 12 euros which is great value. I loved the shopping in the area. A very comfy stay I would definitely come back. As a solo female traveller I felt quite safe at the hotel. It is a basic clean hotel and at a budget price. The images attached are of the things mentioned including pictures of the room.

The hotel is in a great location, very close to the subway station, and there are many restaurants and bars around, but it is just quiet in the bustling city. The room is very clean, with everything you need, and good soundproofing. The breakfast is rich, and all kinds of pies are my favorite. The service staff are very warm and friendly. A very satisfying accommodation experience!

Great location & good service. Unfortunately, individual room temperature adjustment isn't possible, which made the room far too warm. Even with constant ventilation, it couldn't cool down (outside temperature approx. 13-24 degrees Celsius). A kind cleaning staff member provided us with a fan, but its noise didn't contribute to better sleep quality. The 'air conditioning' (a central system, adjustable only by a dial, not by temperature) unfortunately only heats until May and couldn't be turned off. The TV only has satellite and isn't internet-enabled (no HDMI ports could be found either). The breakfast was very delicious and varied, offering everything from vegetables, salad, fish, and meat to pancakes, muesli, yogurt, and fruits. Coffee could be obtained from a machine during breakfast. However, for those who enjoy good coffee, this machine is not recommended. Additionally, the hotel has a gym & a sauna. The latter, contrary to our assumption, is not included in the hotel costs and must be paid for separately (€15 for 30 minutes). On the hotel's rooftop terrace, there are a total of 4 'Hot Tubs,' three of which were functional. These can be used free of charge and without booking (approx. 37.5-40 °C). The gym features a pull-up bar, two cable towers, dumbbells (6-30kg), a treadmill, and an elliptical trainer. There was also a stationary bike, but it was broken. Overall, the hotel offers a great location, but due to the temperature issue, the nights were unfortunately not at all restful. A shame.

We had a pleasant stay. The staff was very friendly and the room was adequate to our needs and clean.
