Hotels in Syntagma, Athens

The location is a bit far, about 5 subway stops from Acropolis station, so you'll need to take the subway to reach most tourist attractions. Walking isn't really an option. The subway station is about a 5-minute walk away. There's a police station nearby, so safety wasn't a concern, but I was initially shocked because Athens, Greece, as a whole felt like a slum. I was disappointed that I booked accommodation in such a place, but apparently, by Korean standards, all of Athens looks like a slum. This place was relatively safe and decent. When we visited, there were American and Greek high school students on a field trip, which also made it feel safe. In terms of cleanliness, breakfast, and facilities, it offers excellent value for money. Especially the 7th-floor rooftop, which is open from 12 PM to 10 PM. You can see the Acropolis Parthenon, and the view of the temple illuminated at night and the sunset from the rooftop is simply amazing.

The boss is a young man, very talkative. I was very tired after a night flight. The check-in time was originally scheduled for the afternoon, but I arrived early in the morning. I contacted Ctrip, and the customer helped me contact the boss, who quickly cleaned the room for me to check in and rest. Thank you very much! This kind of timely help is really needed when you are abroad!

The location was a really tricky one, it’s located so close to the Metro and main train station which was great for getting about the city. However, at night time it was very sketchy, maybe okay if you are travelling as a couple or a group of friends but as a single female on my own I did not feel safe. The staff were great and all really helpful with everything that I needed. Again the hotel for me served its purpose, although the bed was low down it was reasonably comfortable. The shower is so small that it was hard to wash but water pressure was good! It needs updating and so was hard to know whether it was unclean or just old. My next door neighbour had the telly on all night, and it was on when I popped back in the daytime too. Not a problem if the walls weren’t so thin that I may as well have been watching it in my own room. If you want a place to crash for the night and friendly staff then this ticks the boxes, otherwise I’d probably try somewhere else next time.

Near subway station, near supermarket. The place is clean, the bedding is ideal, the towels can be. Breakfast is ideal, good. Staff service is acceptable, mostly traditional Greek personality, point to stop. The overall is a good shop.

Great location for us, next to station which services airport. Clean, friendly staff, and we were able to check in early rather than just drop our bags off! Rooftop restaurant/bar had an amazing view, with lovely staff and decent menu. Buffet breakfast was served up on the rooftop, and early morning view was spectacular, breakfast was standard, and well executed. Great for a 1-2 night stay in Athens before flying out!

Place was in quite a bad part of Athens according to Uber drivers. Not much amenities around but for the price paid. I think it is still good. All staffs were super friendly and helpful. Only think that I did not really understand was why drinking water were only given on the 1st day and not for subsequent stay. Uber will most of the time pick you up from Novotel which is opposite the hotel.

Everything was just wonderful. We were met at the entrance to the apartments and everyone was told in detail about the apartments 👍🏻 The room was very clean and with a comfortable balcony on which we had breakfast. The towels change every day. The apartments have everything necessary for comfortable accommodation. The location is good. The metro station and grocery stores are not far away. To this place 10 out of 10 🌟

The hotel started to navigate a little bit twists and turns in the past. After moving in, I felt that the room was spacious and bright, the service was in place, and the food was good. I will stay here next time, like it!
