Here's why we gave the experience 3 stars;
First of all, when we booked the hotel, neither Trip.com nor The Aster, Los Angeles, mentioned anything about the rooftop being closed on the dates we booked. On May 13 and May 14, we stayed in room 3 0 6. The hotel pictures showed and bragged about having a rooftop and plenty of pics of people there, and nowhere was revealed anywhere on their website or Trip.com that would not be available on those dates. When we reached out to Trip.com, they pretty much said that the rooftop amenities weren't listed as part of our package. Really Trip.com? You have to list the rooftop as the amenity... Got it. That was so lame a response. Everyone knows people book due to the pictures, and this was a seriously lame response from the Trip.com customer support personnel. We decided to save our opinion for this review.
The Aster had nice people, but it's hard to believe the availability missing on their website is a detail they would miss. Their hotel has impeccable detail and design. One can only surmise they conveniently left out the information because people would obviously not book there and go somewhere else. I told the front receptionist this as we were checking in. She mentioned, well, it said it on *******. But we didn't book through *******, we booked through Trip.com. And those specific details were not evident. After July 1st the Government is getting stricter on transparency with hotels having to mention things so we missed this window, but we're happy to hold hotels like The Aster accountable:-)
Also, on Wednesday, we checked out, and they had a fire alarm drill test that lasted about 10 minutes. They forgot to mention another minor ”inconvenience” when we booked on their website. It was at 10 am. It wasn't so bad, but to state the obvious, they left out the ability for customers to decide by not making that information transparent during the booking process. It's not like the fire department or tech people didn't schedule that in advance.
1. If you book through Trip.com, please make sure you specify, call their customer support, and get it in writing. The clickbait and pictures seem shady and sketchy and reflect a lack of credibility in the process.
2. Trip.com asked which room we wanted to be in. When we picked the room, we picked the city-view balcony. But we got put in the poolside view instead. It wasn't bad, but that was missing in the booking details that Trip.com sent to The Aster. My fiance ended up being okay with the poolside view, but it should have been in the booking details via Trip.com. So please, please make sure you watch this if you book through them and call the hotel in advance.
Lastly, the decor, valet, and, in general, the service people were very nice and thoughtful. We would give them 5 stars.

The location is okay, but it's actually quite a walk from 3rd Street and also the beach. The room was pretty small for US standards, and the decor was a bit rococo. Plus, there were unmentioned extra charges (on top of taxes, occupancy fees + ridiculously expensive parking) and they couldn't even provide me with an accurate invoice... Honestly, you can probably find something better for this price in Santa Monica.

Guest User✨ This time, I had a layover in Los Angeles and chose this Fairfield Inn by Marriott. My experience truly exceeded expectations! The hotel's free airport shuttle was fantastic, getting me directly to LAX in just a few minutes – a real lifesaver for early morning flights. The king room was spacious, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was excellent, allowing me to sleep soundly after adjusting to the time difference. The room was clean and tidy, equipped with a desk and free Wi-Fi, so I could handle work without any issues. The front desk service was warm and efficient, making check-in and check-out very quick. The complimentary breakfast offered a wide variety, with hot food and coffee readily available, helping me start my day energized. There are also supermarkets and restaurants nearby, making it convenient for supplies and meals. I'll definitely prioritize staying here again for my next layover in Los Angeles!

Fanfeier28The Westin at the airport is incredibly convenient for travel. The lobby is grand and spotless, and the rooms offer spacious work areas with excellent soundproofing. The 24-hour shuttle is a lifesaver, the gym facilities are top-notch, and the staff are warm and attentive. It's an excellent choice for business travelers.

Disappointing stay - great staff, but the room was a letdown.
While the lobby and valet staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the rest of the experience was far from satisfactory. Throughout my stay, the main elevators were rarely functional, forcing us to use a smelly service elevator on multiple days.
The room itself was poorly designed and maintained. The bed and pillows were very uncomfortable, and the layout made it impossible to watch TV from the bed. Lighting was dim, and the lack of a vanity - combined with a bathroom mirror that had poor lighting - made getting ready very difficult. To make matters worse, the bathroom was not properly cleaned, as we found hair from previous guests around the tub. Additionally, the tub lacked a handrail, making it difficult to get in and out safely.
Lastly, despite booking a breakfast-inclusive rate, we were still charged an 18% tax. Honestly, we would have been better off going to McDonald’s. Despite the great service from the staff, the facility issues mean I wouldn’t stay here again, even for free.

JC HUOAll are good, valet parking is more expensive than 73 knives overnight, and it costs more than➕ miscellaneous fees. It stopped for 3 nights and a total of more than 500 knives... In fact, it stopped for 4 nights. I didn't charge me one night. I theoretically gave me a day's money.
There is also a weekend night that is too busy, and many people come to drink, after all, it is West Hollywood!

This hotel was everything I expected! It's on par with the star-rated Hyatt hotels in China. Many brand-name hotels in the US have mediocre facilities and service, but in China, they're transformed into luxurious five-star hotels with unparalleled splendor. When I first arrived in the US, I had high expectations for hotels of the same brand, so it's inevitable that there's a slight disappointment. However, the Hyatt is first-rate!
At check-in, we were greeted with a welcome champagne and complimentary drinks, available at the first-floor restaurant and rooftop bar.
The hotel's design, decor, and dining experience exceeded my expectations! Breakfast was served in the rooftop open-air restaurant. The weather was beautiful and sunny when we checked in, and we could see the Hollywood sign in the distance. It was incredibly relaxing, giving us a truly relaxing, vacation-like feel.
The king room we booked surprisingly came with a patio with furnished sofa chairs, perfect for enjoying a drink and chatting with family.
From check-in to departure, the hotel staff provided a warm welcome every moment.
The only downside is that the bustling West Hollywood district is just outside, and you could still hear the clamor of various parties outside until midnight, only settling down later in the evening.
But no hotel is perfect. The hotel's strengths outweighed its weaknesses, and the noise wasn't the hotel's fault. I would choose this hotel again.
