Le Nusa Beach Club

This place is a real gem on the lovely beach of mushroom bay. They have 2 great clean pools. Lovely food, great cocktails and wonderful staff. We found this and ended up having 2 half days here. Going in the ocean and relaxing on the day beds. We will return!

The whole property is extremely run down. Hygienic conditions in our room were very poor with mold infested walls, AC, even the floor and fridge. We did not enjoy the stay at all for this reason, unfortunately.

It’s a very good location being right at the beach and the view is just amazing. You have a daily beautiful view of Mt Agung. And the food is also reasonably priced and quite good. The staff was nice as well. They helped us organise whatever we needed during our 7-day stay in the resort.

This resort is at a perfect location on a magical island . Resort very beautiful open view to the beach . Bungalows are very pretty very rustique… (some might call it run down, I like the feel) it has a good feel. Breakfast is awesome.

Beautiful boutique resort with the best view ever. We stayed here for 2 nights. It’s lovely to see the boats with people come and go at the beach and the big volcano mountain on Bali in the distance. The rooms were really clean and comfortable and the best part were the showers in the open air. The beach bar/ restaurant made every fruit juice and cocktail from fresh fruit. Breakfast is a la Carte.

We did not want to leave here. Its location is a beachfront prime spot in Mushroom Bay. It is about a 40-minute boat ride over from the new Sanur Harbour. We took the Rocky's boat which arrived us at the other side of the island. It was only IDR150,000 AU$15.00 for transport, which is a mini truck with bench seats in the back where you sit with your luggage. It was great and added to the experience. The bungalows were sold out, so we had the deluxe room with a garden view. It is a mid-range rustic room with a bed and a small fridge. The bathroom is outdoors which gives that tropical holiday feel. There are two pools one beachfront. The bar is next to the pool and the staff serve some delicious smoothies and drinks. Breakfast on the pool deck overlooking the bay is lovely too. If you haven't brought your own, you can hire snorkelling gear from a shop a couple of doors down. Snorkelling can be done right off the beach and some lovely coral and fish is only 100m off the beach. Alternatively, organise a boat trip. The reception staff can also arrange boat and snorkelling trips to Nusa Penida. We left at 7:30am and randomly saw dolphins. We also went to Manta Bay and swam with a manta ray. There are cool little restaurants to laze at near and on the beach. Also, great ones up the road and a gelato place for your sweet tooth. If you feel like exploring you can hire a moped for IDR800,000 AU$8.00 for a day including fuel. We explored the whole island and crossed the yellow bridge to Cenigan. If you get over there go to Mehana Point. Popular with the surfers and stunning. Looking forward to travelling to this destination again. Fantastic location, great rooms, beautiful pools and the food is delicious. We loved our stay at Le Nusa and will definately be returning in the future. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. 10 stars

This is a nice little place. Nothing fancy, but it’s all you really need. You get a cottage with a porch and a decent bathroom. The price is right. Breakfast is simple, pancakes or eggs. There’s a bar and an ice cream cart. There are two swimming pools and (drumroll) you’re right on the beach. A few steps away is a decent restaurant and then a very walkable road into “town” with loads of restaurants and shops on the way. We found La Nusa perfect for people with little kids. Between running around the grounds, playing/swimming in the pool(s), building sand castles, and getting an ice cream, the kids will be happy. Grownups can take turns watching them while one of you goes snorkeling, goes on a hike, etc. It worked great for us, two grandparents, two parents, kids 6 and 2.
