Hotels Near Kemilau Spa And Wellness in Bali

Our stay at Batu Karang has been absolutely divine. The hotel grounds and pools are impeccable and the rooms are very well appointed. I recommend booking a room with a private plunge pool if you have the option. We never needed to swim elsewhere having access to this refreshing and completely private oasis. The food at Muntigs and The Deck is lovely (very generous breakfasts). There are also many other dining options nearby (walking distance) and I believe had we been so inclined, we could have ordered delivery from a local Warung. Yes, room service option is nice when you can’t be bothered, but imagining the staff having to deal with the palaver of this based on the geography of the location, I can totally understand why this is not available. Getting to and from the rooms on the steep slope was never an issue for us (two middle-aged, not particularly fit people). The walk down is easy enough, and we never waited more than 2 minutes for a buggy ride back up to our room. We had two massages at Lulur spa and would have had more if not for spending a couple of days off-site exploring Lembongan. Staff were very helpful in arranging buggy hire on two occasions so we could head off to explore the island. Unfortunately, I do not have a great deal of photos to share as we were too busy enjoying our exquisite stay. We will be back!

Bernie and I stayed at Akah Cottages for just under a week and were pleasantly surprised by the high level of hospitality and customer service provided by the owner and her staff. The rooms were beautifully maintained and demonstrated a love for the property itself. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and the home-cooked meals were authentic and delicious. After staying at supposed '5-star' accommodation back in Bali, these ritzy hotels didn't come close to Akah in terms of true attention to detail, care and customer service. Our host was lovely and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks for taking such good care of us! Olivia & Bernie

We were booked here for 3 nights but checked out after 1 night. I think this accommodation could be perfect for someone that would like just a bed with a gorgeous view. Based on our experience the room walls and windows inside are not cleaned regularly so the there are stained finger print marks everywhere making the whole space feel dirty. There are floor mats provided but these are filthy too (brown and worn). The shower did not work and there were bugs everywhere on the bathroom. Pool is nice and the hotel is quiet as there are hardly any rooms but for us we felt this meant the place lacked atmosphere and you had to whisper wherever you went. The pool bar only stocks beer and soft drinks and limited food options. So the sunset is great from here but no cocktail to accompany the view. We are gutted as we were extremely excited by this hotel but it was not what we expected at all. The hotel has given us a refund for the 2 nights we are now not staying and we are now around in the corner in D'Coin Lembongan for a lot less money, better facilities, much better and friendlier service and the room is gorgeous.

The perfect escape one can dive into to detox from the hustle and bustle of city life! The owners were amazingly helpful especially in attending to my every need. They were a great help in sharing the various places of interest available for me to venture to. Their warm welcome was quite the highlight of my time spent on Nusa Lembongan. The villa itself was well kept and very strategically located. It us quite literally a stone's throw away from Dream Beach! And I have the option of taking a dip in the pool should the sea appear too daunting for a swim. Definitely going back soon!

This was the most expensive stay we booked for our months travel through Bali and the islands.I was so looking forward to the one night that we had booked there at $300 a night.We were early so waited in the restaurant area for 1.5 hours and had some lunch until the room was ready.The restaurant looks run down too and in desperate need of a repaint with stains and it just looked old and this place isnt that old.Staff were good.Beautiful views of Blue Lagoon and the food was OK.Into our room which was a Seaview cottage but you dont have a sea view at all.I stood on our couch on tippy toes and could just make out the sea in the background.The unit is fenced for privacy but you have no views at all except for bamboo fencing.You have a private pool which was cold and so over chlorinated that I had to shower after being in the pool because you stunk of chlorine.Room was nice but small and the bathroom was pretty too but the shells hanging around the shower were missing shells and had seen better days.Better to remove them than to have the broken strands hanging there,BEER....Big problem getting a cold beer.There must be no rotation of the beers being put into the fridge and 4 times we had to return beers that were hot(husband not happy about that).No breakfast for $300 a night and had to be purchased but was nice.I would not book here again but would recommend coming for lunch or dinner to soak up the view.That never got old and you could see turtles floating around in the bay.Underwhelming would be how I describe the Villas.Mini Mart up the road for supplies if you need them and cold beer

We came to Maua after our previous hotel cancelled within 24 hours of our arrival so trip.com organised a replacement. We hadn't looked at Penida but glad we ended up there as it was easier to visit the main island sights. Firstly, the location has stunning volcano and sunset views. They were incredible. The location as far as everything else goes however is only good if you do not need immediate access to a beach, bars, restaurants etc. There are a couple of homestay type restaurants within a 10 minute walk through what can only be described as a dirt track with many large, deep pot holes and puddles so get your hiking boots ready if you want to venture out. Everything else will need a taxi and they're expensive here. If you are happy to stay, eat and drink at the resort apart from day trips, the location is ideal. The staff were excellent. Linda gave us a very efficient and helpful check-in. The restaurant was quite slow but Ayu really looked after us, making our dining experiences more special along with the other staff. They were always very busy so i can only assume they are understaffed because it wasn't full of guests. The food was very well presented and (apart from the lamb chop which was like an old boot) mostly good quality with a good variety of healthy and regular, tasty food options. The breakfast has so many options, it was really very good. The Spa was good value and we had a very relaxing 150m treatment. 20 minute taxi ride from the harbour started at 250k. We negotiated the driver to 100k. Still more expensive than Thailand. The price of food here is quite steep and they add 21% service/VAT which is more than what you pay on Bali island. If you take a cab (or walk if feeling adventerous) to Crystal Beach, they have great food/drink options at reasonable prices. They have a no drone policy which is great, but be aware if they have wedding guests, you may have a drone flying over your 'private' pool/garden for a few hours which was very unsettling. After speaking to the manager, all was resolved quickly. We hired a taxi driver to take us to all of the east and west island sights, price 900k for the whole day (start 10am, arrive back around 6.30pm). All in all, this hotel is stunning and the rooms are great. The staff are simply excellent and we had a great experience on Penida. Thank you to the Maua staff for making the hotel a great place to stay.

WHAT AN AMAZING PLACE … enjoyed 3 amazing nights here, staff were so friendly, with a above and beyond attitude. Booked taxis and a island trip hassle free with the hotel staff . Food was tasty but what shocks me is how great value and high standard of the resort is . HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The seaside scenery is beautiful, and the beach is right outside the room. The breakfast is exquisite and delicious, and the location is also good. There are many diving shops nearby, and it is only a ten-minute drive from the pier. The staff is polite and hospitable, and they are always responsive. It is really suitable to lie down for a few days in this hotel and be in a daze. Highly recommended, you must book in advance. There are not many rooms, it seems that there are only more than 10 rooms, less than 14 or 15. I stayed in a suite on the second night. In fact, the suite has an extra bathtub, which is not necessary. The rest is exactly the same as other rooms. It was only because someone canceled the reservation late that I accidentally got the opportunity to book.

Had very pleasant stay here. The room was very big, acc worked very well and quietly. Bed very comfortable. Beautiful garden and pool. Location is great too, easy to reach every part of the island. Stuff friendly and helpful. Only downside is the food, but if you like fried rice and noodles you’ll be fine. Anyway very close to resort there is nice place to eat. Would definitely recommend and stay there once again. Very good value for the money. Oh and there is very well equipped gym!

We have just completed a magical 10 days at Wyndham Jivva Beach. We are long term Wyndham members (owners) and have stayed at many of their hotels and resorts. Jivva Beach rates at the top of the list for us. It's just far North East of Denpasar to be out of the rat race but still within easy reach of Sanur and other tourist attractions. Apart from its idyllic setting, the staff were fantastic and went out of their way to make our stay memorable. A special mention to the head chef Gusti who has a wealth of experience at 5 star international hotels. His leadership ensured a high level of cuisine at every meal. And Wijaya, the food and beverage manager led a team of wait staff which would be hard to beat anywhere. There are no shops close by, but we booked half day tours using local drivers at very reasonable prices (IDR 600,000 for 5 hours), so we were able to visit many local attractions. We also took the ferry to the island of Penida across the Badung Strait ~ well worth the time to do this. We were surprised that the beach (which is very close), is made of black sand ~ not a problem for us, but maybe for some. In essence, we love Wyndham Jivva and intend to visit again in 2024.
