Hotels Near Puri Temple Hill in Bali

My family and I have stayed here on a few occasions as well as other 5-star resorts, but we prefer Movenpick. The architecture is appealing from the outside to the inside. The rooms are large and well appointed with a large Bali bathtub, natural stone accents and color palette. Linens are luxurious, which include down comforters and oversized pillows. Service is superior to most Bali resorts. From the personal interaction with Maicel at the front desk to the servers in the restaurant & pool side bar….all creating a memorable & personal stay. Thank you Movenpick employees. We’ll see you in a few months for another great experience.

I first saw this place upon listing and caught my eye. It did seem a little absurd such a low price for the quality, by looking at the photos. I booked somewhere else for my first night also in Jimbaran. The second day I couldn’t resist the urge to book this place, and I not one bit regret my decision. Location is very easy to find, close to the main road which has convenience stores. Which is rare in this area, previously I stayed at Le Meridian and there was not one place where i could find an iPhone charger within 7km. Entrance is classy and nice, reception enthusiastically helped me with luggage and check in. After the process taking me to my villa. It was a nice walk, felt like I was in fairytale, greenery refreshing and truly made me feel like I am experiencing the essence of Bali. “Traditional Bali style” he told me. My villa was steep down the hills, which were all the one bedroom villas. At first I wasn’t happy about where it is located and asked for a higher unit. But once upon entering the residence I was completely shook. It went above and beyond my expectations, truly. The place was sparkling clean and view outside made me smile from the inside out. Not to dramatically pipe up the place but I felt they way underpriced the daily rate! The privacy is without complaint, especially for someone like me which is important. You are in the jungle in a luxurious treehouse. How much better can life get. Private pool is refreshing, freeflow running water; clean and clear. Bedroom is downstairs, going in is the most romantic woodlock bed and unfortunately I’m single but would be the most perfect for couples. Bathroom is ethnic and delicate. Spacious and well designed with a giant bathtub. Bath and toilet are separated, thank god. The night of I had the best sleep in a long long time. If one thing I had to complain would be the wifi, which for someone who works online can be frustrating.

I can’t speak more highly of this excellent resort. Yes, it is away from the now very busy Kuta, Seminyak, Sanur, etc and thats great. Less traffic and less noise! Just get a driver/taxi to visit other areas, they are still very reasonably priced (by Aussie standards). The gardens are beautifully maintained, the pools sparkling and our villa very comfortable and private, also it’s own plunge pool…..very refreshing in a hot climate. We ate very well from the extensive buffet breakfast (included in our package), the a la carte lunch menu (small meal for us after a hearty breakfast) and the dinners when we ate in. The food was delicious, perfectly cooked and very well presented. I would like to give my greatest praise, and thanks, to the staff. I think we pretty much met them all as it’s not a huge resort. Without exception they were friendly, smiling, helpful, unobtrusive and a delight to spend time with. This was not our first trip to Bali, but probably the most memorable for all the right reasons. One aspect that should be addressed though is the lack of a full length mirror in the villa. A negative for my wife and adult daughters. Also I think 2 sets of keys should be provided in a 2 bedroom villa when 4 adults are staying. This would make the daily comings and goings easier

We deeply miss strolling on the nice beach and catching the breeze. Love the view from our spacious room and the care and help rendered to us throughout our stay with our 20-month old toddler. Grand Hyatt hires the best ppl, all hotel staff we met were friendly, considerate and helpful. Highly recommended for those with young children.

Kanishka provided us with the ideal holiday in Bali! It is centrally located in Seminyak. Just walk out the door and there are all the shops, restaurants and facilities. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean. Our room came with a private pool. The staff are friendly and helpful. We highly recommend Kanishka!

I can’t wait to return! Don’t think twice about it. I am traveling in a group of 5, I myself single in the studio worked beautifully. From arrival we were greeted at the airport quickly to the property where we were met once again with a warm welcome and orientation of our home for the next 6 days. Their story can be found on their website and is worth a read. We participated in their yoga classes, meditation, sistrum, ice bath, sound healing sessions. Kim is amazing and has impacted my life in a way no one else could touch. I wonder if she knows? A good selection from their breakfast menu was included, enjoyed it next to the pool near the ocean across the way. Potato Head was the first week of our journey to Bali and I now believe it when they say that when the stars align, you’ll know it. And Fysh, if you could be so blessed to meet her here. She took care of our group with her heart and it is still felt! I’m not going to ruin it for you. Magnificent Ball. Magnificent hotel that will highlight the joy of staying on the island. Excellent location, beautiful view, new rooms, wonderful breakfasts (buffet + order European and local cuisine, we tried almost all the local dishes from the menu, it was very tasty), but the most important thing is the people working in the hotel. They are always ready to help with any little thing, very friendly and kind. This improves the mood throughout the day. I celebrated my birthday during my stay, I was very nicely congratulated. On the roof there is a swimming pool with an Instagram view. Open until 10 pm. It's a 5-minute walk to the sea. There are plenty of restaurants and shops around. The evening life is nearby, but the hotel is built in such a way that it does not interfere.

Tucked away in a quaint village far from the maddening crowds in Canggu et al, this is a retreat to recharge and get away from it all. The property is architecturally interesting and the room is unusually vertical, designed as a treehouse, with a bathtub and open air relaxing area at the top. The infinity pool is surprisingly deep, and there is a natural cascading waterfall right in front of it. Absolutely hidden gem of a place.

One of the best villas we've ever stayed in, amazing location. Exactly what we wanted. We were looking to stay somewhere for a week in a less busy part of southern Bali, and we found Keramas by accident. We had already stayed at Komaneka properties in Ubud and so found ourselves here. Modern, meticulously cleaned, well-equipped villas with bright and welcoming decor. It's far bigger than the photos, and the best way to get an idea of these villas is to watch the Youtube walkthrough. The sound of waves can be heard day and night, and it's an amazing sight to be hold each and every day. Rugged, wild ocean right out your door with some expert surfers who dare to surf here. Our stay was flawless. We thought there wouldn't be much to do, but we were wrong. Between swimming, surfing, scootering around and finding incredible local spots for Babi Guling, trying out the local winery, getting massages and visiting Hotel Komune for food - not to mention walks on the glittering black beach where locals and fishermen come down to at sunset, this place was bliss --- ! You have the beach to yourself at most times, but do know that this is not a swimming beach.

Bernie and I stayed at Akah Cottages for just under a week and were pleasantly surprised by the high level of hospitality and customer service provided by the owner and her staff. The rooms were beautifully maintained and demonstrated a love for the property itself. We had dinner one night at the restaurant and the home-cooked meals were authentic and delicious. After staying at supposed '5-star' accommodation back in Bali, these ritzy hotels didn't come close to Akah in terms of true attention to detail, care and customer service. Our host was lovely and we will definitely be coming back. Thanks for taking such good care of us! Olivia & Bernie
