Its proximity to various restaurants, shops, and local attractions makes it an ideal base for exploring the area. Being able to walk everywhere is a huge plus and adds an element of relaxation to the vacation experience. Staff: One of the standout features of the resort is its staff. They are not only efficient, ensuring everything runs smoothly, but also genuinely friendly and welcoming, always greeting guests with a smile. This level of service greatly enhances the overall stay. Room Views: Opting for a room on the third floor is highly recommended as it offers scenic views. While the first and second floors might lack these views, the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms remain commendable. Bed and pillows were awesome!! Pool Area: The infinity pool is a highlight, providing a luxurious and serene environment to relax, swim, or simply enjoy the sun. This well-maintained area is made even more enjoyable by the fun and friendly pool and bar staff. One memorable highlight was when staff made popsicles by hand for the guests, adding a delightful touch to the day’s activities. Breakfast: The buffet breakfast at the resort is exceptional. With a wide variety of choices, both in terms of dishes and flavors, every morning feels like a new culinary adventure. The quality and taste of the food meet high standards, ensuring a delightful start to the day. Cons: Noise Levels: A significant downside to staying at Dara Samui Beach Resort, especially noted on Chaweng Beach, is the noise pollution from nearby clubs. Guests looking for a peaceful night's sleep might find the loud music, particularly the repetitive beats and booming sounds from 3:00 AM to 6:00 AM, to be a major disturbance. This could be a dealbreaker for light sleepers or those seeking a restful retreat. Beach and Swimming Conditions: While the beach itself is beautiful and great for daytime relaxation, the water level often remains below one meter, making it impossible to swim in the ocean. This shallow water issue is prevalent across most of Chaweng Beach and might disappoint those looking forward to ocean swimming. GGuest UserEverything and anything was perfect at the hotel.  Lovely staff, great facilities, very baby friendly and family supportive. The beach is really private and no trespassing of unknown people happening. Staff is ready to assist with any questions and provide any help. For example we asked about nanny and they were keen to help to find it outside of hotel. It is absolutely great. Service, and atmosphere is beyond and your stay is literally crafted for your needs in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.  Hopefully I have a chance to come there again

EEmily Rose L- Great location at the end of Lamai beach with a lovely view of both sand and beautiful boulders. -There is a little beach bar just beside the hotel that provides spots to sit on a giant boulder, which is a great perch in the evening or for sunrise. It looks like there are paddle boards and snorkels for use at the hotel. It’s near to the Grandmother/father rocks and Lamai beach is perfect for swimming and walking. - We loved the breakfasts, especially the delicious homemade croissants and pain au chocolate, along with fresh fruits changed daily and eggs to order. The Thai lunch options were also very good. -Win and Naing were kind and warm and helped us with what we needed. - The pool and frangipani tree, along with a variety of spots for lounging, including big covered round beds, created a chill atmosphere: so comfortable that were much lazier than we thought we’d be because we were so relaxed. Tip: The rooms have only partial views and the best view is #8. Note: Our room was a bit stuffy and the bathroom was a little dark and a little smelly, but definitely not too bad. The alley just outside the hotel is unlit and foul smelling, but a short walk away from some massage places and a few restaurants and bars. In general, the property is well maintained but shows a bit of wear, including stained patio cushions and umbrellas and things like that, but just a touch of aesthetic upgrades are needed- it’s still a great beach resort, a very good value, and we’d be back again. Merci!

GGuest UserAfter leaving SALA, I went to the Internet celebrity Sheng Tailan. When I arrived at the hotel lobby, I was in a trance in Sanya. When I walked into the room, I missed SALA all the time. When you come to Thailand, you must experience the unique Thai-style villas. The various details and services of SALA are even more memorable. This is a vacation, especially recommended with children. The waves on the beach are small and the sand is fine, so it is perfect.

MMarielleeGarrya Tonsay Bay was a beautiful and peaceful oasis on Koh Samui! We stayed for a couple of nights and loved the variety of included activities, from morning yoga and Muay Thai to circuit classes, paddle boarding, and snorkeling—all very well organized. The restaurant was excellent; we enjoyed the ”Taste of Northern Thailand” dinner, and the breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve had. The staff was amazing, incredibly friendly, and attentive to every detail. Highly recommend this relaxing retreat!

IIona JanetSuper nice resort, lovely quiet room, right in the middle of the madness of Chaweng but Als Resort is a lovely calm retreat. Beach restaurant is a bit overpriced but then again it is right on the beach, we just went up town for any meals instead. There is a complimentary fire show in the resorts private beach area.

GGuest UserWe recently stayed at the Sarann Hotel and overall had a pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean, and the staff were professional and attentive. Our room was neatly cleaned every day, and fresh water was always provided. The pool was a highlight and definitely one of the top features of the hotel. On the downside, we did notice an unpleasant odor near the drains when walking from our room to the lobby and restaurant area. Also, the water pressure in the bathroom was not great; it took a long time to fill the bathtub. The TV channels were limited, and we didn't really use the television during our stay. Another factor to consider is the location. The hotel sits at a corner, making it a bit tricky and potentially dangerous to cross the road due to traffic from both sides. Lastly, the beach near the hotel wasn’t very clean, with quite a bit of litter washed up, but that’s not something the hotel can control. The resturant's food is the best we've had on the island. 10/10 In summary, the Saran Hotel is a good choice for its cleanliness, friendly staff, and lovely pool, though there are a few areas that could use improvement

AAnonymous UserHello! I stayed at the hotel for 4 nights, I chose an older room because of the bathroom. I recommend choosing new rooms (there is almost no difference in price), they will be located closer to the sea and will be fresher. Pros - a beautiful beach location at the end of the lamai near the rocks, there are large rocks at the bottom but they do not bother you at all because you can see them and they are located far from each other. There is less fuel oil on the sand, unlike the main part of the lamai. - there are a lot of funny cats in the hotel, I fed them, I was very glad to meet them and spend time)) - good cleaning of the rooms - breakfasts are not bad, lots of fruit - reception and restaurant staff Cons - the location is still remote, a little inconvenient to go to the ring road because there is always active traffic in this location. At the same time, there is a 7 \ 11 within walking distance. All this does not apply to the hotel itself and this remoteness can be considered as a plus, in this part of the beach there is less traffic There was an incident in the room with 2 huge cockroaches. In the entire history of my numerous trips to Thailand I encountered this for the second time. And the issue here is definitely not about cleaning. I do not understand why there are no coffee machines at breakfast like in all hotels, the poor waiters walk around all morning with teapots offering coffee that is heavily diluted

AAnonymous UserEverything about this hotel was absolutely amazing! The staff was fantastic—very attentive and professional. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, and the property itself was stunning, with beautiful landscaping and plenty of areas to relax. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, offering a wide variety of high-quality options. However, there are a couple of downsides. The beach line is quite narrow, and the sand is relatively coarse, though this seems to be a characteristic of the entire North Coast. Additionally, the rooms are designed in a way that you can hear your neighbors, as they are separated by connecting doors. This can occasionally affect privacy and quietness. Overall, despite these minor issues, everything else was perfect, and I would still highly recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay!
