I booked this for a three night stay in Berlin and had a lovely time. The room was dated, but clean, and the beds were very comfy. One issue we did have is that we were given an adjoining room that was locked from the other side. It was explained to us that only the hotel staff could open it, but it did feel strange until they explained. We didn't have breakfast but the restaurant looked nice. The best part was the location, it was a great place and we could walk to most attractions or get the u-bahn from right outside! I would definitely stay again.

The hotel is over twenty years old, but it is very clean and there is a large selection of delicious things for breakfast, with great emphasis on sustainability.
It is in a top location in Berlin Mitte on the Spree, where it is very quiet. All sights can be easily reached on foot or using the nearby subway or bus. Beautiful restaurants are within walking distance, and there is a good oriental restaurant in the hotel.
It is also worth mentioning that there is a free bottle of water and beer in the minibar every day.

Good location for walking distance to different parts of Berlin. Nice staff where we could leave bags before check-in. Okay breakfast, but the coffee was nothing more. Didn't have time to visit the sauna and the gym. But the hotel was like an old Scandic hotel type.

Service was great. All the staff were very friendly & helpful, with everyone speaking very good English.
The free water & beer was great & the Christmas gifts left on our door on our last day was an excellent touch.
Great location with everything accessible via the underground station, if needed to travel a bit further.
However, some things need a bit of attention. The bathroom suite needed upgrading & some days there was a strange smell. During our 7 day stay only one lift was working.
Would definitely recommend this hotel & definitely consider staying here again if we come back to Berlin.
