"Managed to book this resort for a reasonable price. The room is okay, with everything a traveler needs. Good that it comes with a balcony. The resort has activities for guests to participate in. There's a free shuttle; you should email in advance to inform them of your need. Most of the food and drinks here are pricey, as this area is generally for tourists, so be prepared to pay more."

"We stayed here for three days with our family and booked two Grand Deluxe rooms and one Deluxe room. The rooms were spacious, each equipped with a sofa bed, which was very convenient when traveling with kids. The location is excellent, surrounded by Lagoi Plaza, a lake, and a beach, and it’s only about a 12-minute drive to Treasure Bay. Breakfast was decent, and we appreciated that there was porridge suitable for babies. The only issue we encountered was the restroom sliding door, which tended to get stuck easily, but the staff were very friendly and quick to assist. Additionally, there is a free playground and a swimming pool on the 7th floor with a beautiful view—we really loved it. Overall, it was an awesome family getaway"

"After watching the rennovation from the golfcourse a few times, now we had the opportunity to stay at the new Movenpick resort Bintan in their soft-launch period. Although they still need to do some work, we absolutely enjoyed our stay in combination with the golfcourse. The staff is super friendly and helpfull. The food in the restaurant is very good, we tried the local food. Probably they will increase the number of dishes when fully opened. Breakfast very good: mix of buffet and a la cart. Local and international. Fresh juices. Little problems , part of opening a new hotel,  were tackled immediately.  Overall a great golf / relax experience. We will come back soon. Also need to try the Japanese restaurant."

"Saw some negative review from Google or Trip.com, but I still decided to choose for this resort because of the locations. Also, that after spoke with the driver and I know that the view of the beach of this resort is actually the best one in bintan. It’s quite expensive to eat inside the resort, especially the Indian food at night. I went to the Chinese restaurant, but we didn’t order the seafood. The waiter is very helpful and very nice and polite. We order for the medium person, but he advised us not to choose that because the portion is really big."

"Excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Resort Bintan. Free shuttle from the ferry terminal and check in was smooth and fuss free. Late checkout provided to match departure ferry timing. Resort still looks relatively new. The mangrove house for kids was a plus point in the hotel. Room was spacious and clean - would be great if there were in room slippers for toddlers too. Buffet Breakfast had a delectable spread and there was ample sitting. Fish feeding pond was a nice touch to keep the kids occupied. Free hourly shuttle to Plaza Lagoi was welcomed - would be even better if it runs more frequently. Short stroll to the private beach that is shared with Hotel Indigo. Swimming pools were spacious but could get crowded during peak periods. Room service were very generous in terms of portion size and worth the wait. Overall an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Resort for a family weekend getaway."

"Thank you Doulos Phos Hotel, for the unforgettable experience! My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay on your ship. From the moment we arrived, we felt a warm welcome. The room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was abundant with food that reminded us of home in the Philippines, something we’ve really missed. The receptionists were very hospitable and guided us well on what to do during our stay. The pool was unique and aesthetic, and what amazed us most was the ship’s rich history, especially how it has touched many lives through charity. A special thanks also to the captain who gave us a tour of the ship (I even wondered if he’s a real captain!) On our last day, despite the bad weather, and although our check-out was scheduled for 12:00 PM, our ferry departure was not until 6:45 PM. The reception staff graciously allowed us to remain in our room until 5:00 PM. This thoughtful gesture meant a great deal to us and made us feel valued and cared for. Overall, our experience exceeded expectations. We are grateful to all the staff of Doulos Phos Hotel for their kindness and professionalism. "Came here with my mother and we both loved it, the service was impeccable from the very start to the end. Everything was smooth, when they picked us up from the ferry terminal we were greeted with cookies and a cold towel. Upon reaching, everyone was so helpful and it was convenient to get around as we just had to call or drop a text and a buggy would be sent to pick you up and bring you wherever u want. With every room, you get two very nice bicycles for you to go around and explore. They plan lots of activities so you definitely won't be bored, some of the complimentary ones include free yoga, kayaking, stand up paddling, etc. The paid ones were also very worth it, the spa massage was just lovely. They even hang a hammock in your room upon request and it was my favourite place to relax. The room itself was very clean and spacious. What surprised was me that every night they would place complimentary traditional snacks and a little bed time story of a traditional tale in your room (We got kueh lapis and Kue Bingka Ubi), we did not know about this so we were super happy, felt like every detail was well thought of. Additionally, I was celebrating my mother's birthday and they surprised us with a cake and lovely set up on the bed. There were quite a bit of insects but can't be helped if you want to enjoy the beauty of nature. They do take utmost care against this with each room including a tray of insect repellant, coil that is free to use and we also learnt that everyday they fumigate the place and spray it down twice to reduce insects. The complimentary breakfast had such a good spread too and their on site pool bar and restaurants were all delicious. I usually do not write reviews but this was such a beautiful experience, I had to write this. I would love to give my thanks to all the lovely staff for such a good experience. We will definitely be back!"

"1. Well-equipped apartment. Safe, ironing equipment, umbrella, beach bag, crockery, cutleries, pot and pan and best of all – extremely comfortable bed and pillows and new air-conditioners! 2. Clean and modern interior. A few small flying insects that got into the room (inevitable due to the surrounding garden/forests and opening of doors) but thankfully, didn’t encounter any mosquitoes or ants in the apartment – what a relief! Fogging in the common areas is done twice a week – Tues and Thur late nights. Didn’t detect any unpleasant drainage smell in the toilet/shower so I’m perfectly happy with my assigned Queen Suite apartment! 3. Balcony views: (i) Block 1 is beach front apartments with full sea view (ii) Block 2 is made up of two sections: one section faces the Garden and the other section faces the Car-park (iii) Blocks 3 and 4 have either (i) Garden view - with partial sea view on highest floor) OR, (ii) Forest view – with partial sea view too on highest floor). (iv) Block 5 on the top floors have distant sea view (this block is on a slope and furthest from the reception and pool) 4. Friendly staff. My requests were attended to swiftly. 5. Private beach (shared among the 3 resorts there) is reasonably clean with fairly clear sea (there’re jelly fish warning signages). 6. Pool at Cassia is smaller but newer and cleaner than at Angsana. A new pool bar construction is currently being carried out in front of Cassia’s pool and the hoarding blocks the beautiful sea view from the infinity pool until mid Nov – what a pity! 7. Adequate breakfast spread but houseflies and birds were spotted in the restaurant – made me worry about the hygiene level 8. Various English movie channels but screen resolution was poor and images often lagged for a few seconds – makes the movie watching experience tiresome and annoying. Only the International news and Singapore channels did not suffer from lags/poor image quality 9. Some of the building and lift direction signs in the different apartment blocks are puzzling and confusing – the signs are probably very clear ONLY to the people who planned/designed them - certainly NOT easily understood by foreign guests! You need to get into the correct lifts in different buildings to reach the blocks furthest from the reception (to avoid climbing any stairs or slopes eg blocks 4 and 5). I only figured out the various sheltered linkways/correct lifts after a few trial and errors, lol! 10. Credit card is needed for room deposit during check in even if room cost was already paid in advance during online booking: 4 Million Indonesian Rupiah per apartment per night"

"Everything at the resort was incredibly systematic and well-organized, resulting in a completely frustration-free stay. We arrived at 12 PM and were pleasantly surprised to receive our room for an early check-in at 1 PM after a minimal wait! We opted for the 6-activity package—a great value according to my husband—which included a fantastic 2-hour karaoke session and access to the kids' indoor playground. We highly recommend the 6-activity package; it kept us thoroughly engaged throughout our 3-day, 2-night stay. The resort's punctuality was excellent: our in-room couple's massage therapists arrived exactly on time, and the fire for our 6:30 PM outdoor BBQ was already set up by 6 PM. The sound proof is not so good especially when the kids sleep at the teepee materials but when they are tired they still can fall asleep fast just that the next door kids wake up so early. Have to expect sound as it is glamping."

"I stayed at the hotel from 12 to 15 October and was very pleased with my experience. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with excellent bathroom amenities. The staff were all friendly, courteous, and helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The only shortcoming was on the first night when I noticed that the bedsheet had some stains. However, the housekeeping team responded promptly and replaced it with a fresh set immediately. I truly appreciate their quick response and professionalism in handling the matter. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay and would be happy to return in the future."
