I was at this location 2 years ago when it was Grand Fiesta Americana. The dinner restaurant menu and quality were excellent. As Hilton the quality of food at the restaurants has definitely gone DOWN from a 8 to 5. The night entertainment is very bad. They need to do some more fun pool activities and night shows. There is nothing to do at night after dinner. I would recommend working on better menu options, quality of food and entertainment. The Mexican restaurant has mainly American food. The Italian restaurant has very limited options and the food is not good at all. I couldn't even eat my Italian food. But the location, service and view of the hotel is excellent. I hate writing negative reviews but this is an honest review. Thank you!

A lot of tipping is expected... Hotel did not provide currency exchange and we relied on the bellboys, who usually have the most tips, to exchange. They of course expected some for doing this.

The location along the bay is amazing in terms of the view. Good food options and great service. The pool area is awesome, be sure to get there early to grab a premium spot.

Resort was all inclusive so there really wasn’t a need to go anywhere. There were meals, room service, activities, beach was walkable and pools and bars.

I’ve stayed at many AI resorts and overall the food and drinks were above average. Service was top notch, staff very responsive to all requests. Property and beach were very nice and well kept. Breakfast buffet offered anything one could want. The onsite seafood restaurant, Cocomar, was very very good. Italian and Asian not so much. Seasalt steakhouse was very good too although I didn’t care for their New York cut.
Property is a bit south of ZR but easy to take Uber or a city bus into town. The entertainment was decent and the outdoor shows generally concluded by 9:30 pm so it wouldn’t disturb folks who wanted to turn in earlier. Onsite bars are excellent. Bars and pool area had many planned games, contests, physical activities such as Salsa dancing, Zumba, Peloton, and water volleyball. Also free kayak and paddleboard use. Great vacation overall!

The property itself is beautiful, the rooms are spacious, the lobby is nice with an amazing view. The Dining is reasonably good. The issues we had were the room shower was leaking water into the bathroom. Reservations for dining were hard to make. Initially we were also told we did not have to make reservations and then the next day the rule was changed and we were not informed.

This was our 2nd time at this facility. Each and every staff member are the absolute best. Food is excellent. However we found the hotel needs a little more work on the everyday overall cleaning.
